Tremendous footage, great editing, and good choice of music. That lake is friggen' incredible. Eric.....I laughed when you said "Peruvian Mountains". Dude, those are the Andes Mountains. Are you and Sarah married?
@@EricandSarah You guys are so complimentary. God bless you both and continue to give you good health and happiness. Keep up the great videos, they are sooooo beautiful. 👍
Definitely Peru is not the only country in Southamerica with beautiful turquoise laggons, Argentina has the Three Lagoons near Mount Fitz Roy in Patagonia, Chile has turquoise laggons in the base of the Towers of Paine, Ecuador has Quilotoa, but in Peru there are a difference, hiking in high altitudes suppose a bonus adventure and Humantay has it Greetings from Lima, Peru
We are going tomorrow. Question…was it difficult because of elevation or incline or both? I just did Rainbow Mountain and would love to know your thoughts as which was harder? Im such a slow hiker that having this information makes it easier on me. Also, I know this was a while ago so just what you remember is great! Thank you for your time. Dawn
Hey! We never did the actual Rainbow mountain (we did Palcoyyo) so unfortunately can’t compare. But I believe Rainbow Mountain is supposed to be harder as it’s quite a bit longer and higher elevation. Humantay was quite steep at the end but I’d say the really steep part only lasted about half hour to an hour? So you can power through! You got this 💪
@@EricandSarah I have done both now and I would say Humantay is harder because of the steeper terrain. I remember my legs not being tired on Rainbow so the difficulty was mostly that crazy high elevation. But with Humantay, even though it’s not as high as Rainbow it’s still high so I was fighting elevation and steepness. Regardless, both views are worth the uncomfortable experience of elevation so it was all worth it 💪.

How are the roads leading up to Humantay Lake? I’ve heard is pretty scary. Did y’all ever worry about falling from the cliff?
They were pretty windy and narrow but we weren’t scared at all because our driver seemed very skilled! :)

The correct pronunciation is whitout the H, the H is silent. Umantay.
