I think the Iranian people and American people can get along. It is our governments that are the problem.
Uh... our governments? Their government just recently ended the lives of many protestors, say what you want about our government but there isn't blatant in your face government violence against us in the US. Stop with this moral equivalence nonsense. No one should over say they are perfect but come on, people flee their countries to come to the US. Don't hear many stories of people escaping to Iran! And yes I have no doubt many many of the Iranians would be friends of ours. But I guess the more I think about it moral equivalence is the bread n butter of a liberal worldview.
American governments with their Isra-Hell Lap Dog presidents are the problem Mate.
@@45eno Well said, and I also think, just like in the past, the more people can realize that other cultures are never their stereotypes - by watching videos like this and actually traveling, the less hate and violence will go around. But that's just common sense if you think about it. And tbh, the more videos like this I watch, the more I can't stand my own culture. It's hard not to focus on all the bad in America: the shallowness/ignorance of young people; the steep taxes of the government; the obsession with media and entertainment; the core value of commercialism (fuck commercialism); the totally defunct setup of healthcare; the arrogance and immorality of so many people I've met - I'm just done. @MrLizardisle I have no time for religious fanatics , but that's not what these conflicts are really about , they are more political and economic than religious . The U.S. has supported plenty of despots both religious and secular over the years . To the U.S. government the world is a geo-political chess board . It doesn't care if leaders are tyrants , as long as they're our tyrants . Like the House of Saud or Saddam Hussein when he was fighting Iran on their behalf , or General Pinochet in Chile or countless others who ruthlessly oppressed their own people .

What’s even more encouraging is that Iran has the most true conversions to Christianity currently. The landscape of the country is changing tremendously even though you won’t hear about that on most any new station.
If you study the history of Iran you will see that it did not start out as a Muslim country. There was always a remnant of early Christians there as well as Jews. If you pull the citizens of the country, many of them would not claim to be Muslim, rather secular or Christians, but they would most likely not reveal this information publicly due to government oppression and fear of being imprisoned.

That's because their ethnic group is Persian. They are not Arabs. But Arabs, Kurds, and Azeris also live in Iran.

I roamed Iran last year for 3 weeks...extremely civilized culture, preserving ancient qualities. I had the most amazing and sad experience at the same time. The level of humanity, kindness and emotional purity I witnessed... but also the lack of freedom especially on love affairs weighs so much on the heart. Especially in smaller places like Kashan & Yazzd I made so close friends in so short time, experiencing a joy of companionship like never before, but also felt a collective sadness which I gradually absorbed that got me into uncontrollable tears. I am Greek but I never felt more at home than at Iran. When I asked my travelling friend, who was as excited as me, "If you would choose one only country to live and never visit the other, would you pick Iran or Greece?" After a good thought he replied: "close call, but Greece". Me too, I said, "Here its so lively, exciting, & amazing people, but this suppression is unbearable." I've been to Iran in 1997. At the time I worked for a London based company importing Persian rugs for sales around the world and i went there along with another guy who was in charge of acquisition of new inventory and while scouting for new inventory, we traveled across many parts of the country and I can tell you, the Iran I saw and the Iran shown in the media, are two entirely different countries. The people are nothing like what we're made to believe, in fact the average Iranian doesn't even know what the trouble with the west is all about. I haven't seen one single person screaming "Death to America" and all the other BS the media is constantly showing us here. The people are super hospitable, even the poorest people will invite you into their homes and offer you a meal and some tea, all that religious stuff we keep hearing about, like the discrimination of women's rights and all that, I haven't seen there. The people are upset that their economy is bad and that life is getting tougher and they largely blame their leadership for that, not us. All they know is that the life that was promised to them by the Ayatollah during the revolution in 1979, hasn't materialized. However, there were signs of government repression. for example, many people I encountered were reluctant to discuss politics and openly criticizing their leadership, all TV channels were Iranian and government controlled, no foreign media is allowed, even listening to foreign radio is forbidden. However, that was in 1997, not sure what it's like today. But I can't imagine that much has changed. The Shah was ousted by the people because of the propaganda that he had enriched himself on the backs of the Iranian people. Now it turns out that the Ayatollah is no different with Khamenei's net worth to be estimated at $350 billion. He's insanely rich while the people go hungry and the people aren't happy about it. In short, the Iranian people are absolutely not the war mongering jihadist people we are made to believe, they're just people like any other trying to live their lives
You are completely true about our people
Best wishes
Love from people of Iran to everybody out there. We judge countries by the love of their people not the hatred that governments spread.
Very nice video! Litteraly every big city of Iran have been the capital for an specific era in history of Persia, there for you should visit every single one of them.
People need to make a difference between the people of Iran and the Iranian government

I believe Yazd is the oldest city in the world that is still standing and living since ancient time and before common era...
probably and minimally eight thousand years...
Damascus is the older.
Well I suggest u visit Alborz, Khalkhal, you will find towns that were first villages that are emerged after the seas vanished, pretty much older than what you thought.
Yazd is and has been courteously live and living for all these years... if you notice, I stressed on “Living City” the other older ancient sides or historical centers are gone and do not function as a continuous not interrupted geographic center and community for thousands of years...
@@sedayehneda Yes, continually inhabited. Damascus in Syria is estimated 8000 BC. Yazd is estimated to be a city in 4th century AD. This doesn't mean it's a bad city, just not the oldest in the world. Maybe, it's one of the oldest in Iran.
Yes Damascus is extremely old, but Yazd is as old or older...believe me it was established way before fourth century AD...

It even reaches to 7000 years of an interesting history. There are still many undiscovered things waiting to be digged out!

What a wonderful video and wow the Iranian food! Yummy! Your statement “I try not to trust the mainstream media and see things with my own eyes” shows your intelligence. I wish more people thought this way. Iran to Europeans is similar to Mexico to my USA. It would be nice if more people traveled to broaden their minds and learn from other cultures as each has something valuable to contribute. Excellent video! 👏

Beautiful. We lived in Turkey and we visited many areas over in middle east when I was a child. I LOVED going to the market with my mother to get fresh bread, (eckmek spelling) and other wonderful things. I'm saddened by the hatred and the fighting between our countries and wish I could return, even to Iran, and show my children, as I am American. Thank you for your video, it brought back so many beautiful memories, i can still remember the smells. Ciao.
Whenever I travel, I see things completely different than I expected. The stereotypes never exist.
Yet, if you espouse anything other than devotion to the Muslim religion and it’s laws you will be persecuted and possibly put in prison. In Iran you do not have freedom to think or speak.
@@sajordan3428 dont try that in america either. The FBI/CIA will come after you. Especially when you speak out about the many illegal wars the USA has fought

This young woman took time to shoot and edit a video to express her opinions about Iran, and she must be deeply appalled that some people take advantage of the comments section to yell their frustrations, hate or anger towards the iranian regim, she only talks about the people, and i think she's right and has the rght to do so, i shared exactly the same feelings towards the population, surely the nicest and warmest people i met on this planet after 50 countries visited
