The guy who originally composed this is a genius. The guy who adapted the music for a drum core is a genius. The guy who wrote the drill is a genius. It's a work of art.
They were literally smashing those snares!!!! Too bad it was not captured more on video. I saw them in Nashville that year. They came roaring in quarters, semifinals. Probably my favorite Cavalier years besides '92.
This was in my rookie season. The first time I watched this show was at Mt. SAC when we hosted Corps at the Crest in 95. I was so blown away by this sound!
Not sure what they are doing with DC these days but it's not real Corps. No more bugles, electric amplifiers, trombones allowed, pangentry dance is required...etc. not liking it. 🤷♂️
Love the opening, but the Scouts were at their peak level, espeecially this year producing probably the greatest show, sound and song in thie history of DCI.

My 16 year old son was in that Show and 3 more years after that. It still brings me to tears every time I watch it.

45 yard line side 2 there was lots of good Drum corps that night Madison, Cadets, BD and the Caveliers
