LZHS Marching Band Sousa cam.

So this was our first crack at a sousa cam. We missed the first song because the remote was out of range of the camera. Personally i'm sad by that because that was some of my best playing. I usually tap myself out in the second song. I typically don't have that endurance required to play awesomely te whole way through.

So this was a victory against round lake high school 56 to zero. But after every game we play the fight song and hey baby and just have a good time.

Lake Zurich HIgh School Marching Band Bandorama 2014 3
Hearing rainbow with that many generations of power is incredible
45 yard line side 2 there was lots of good Drum corps that night Madison, Cadets, BD and the Caveliers
This is the pure definition of a masterpiece! Probably the best DCI/Marching band show of all time.
Awesome, they still give me goosebumps! I was in the McHenry Viscounts color guard in the 60's.
You are the best of the best
The guy who originally composed this is a genius. The guy who adapted the music for a drum core is a genius. The guy who wrote the drill is a genius. It's a work of art.
The choreography was just perfection!
That opening hit still goes hard!!!!
the whole show goes hard

Not bad, I rocked this in 72-72 DP Vanguard
They sound and look fantastic and I am sure they are having the time of their lives. I have always felt that the all male color guards were the sharpest and these guy still make it seem that way. Great job guys!
Yes I amcontra bass player in 1983 to 1997 I am bong r Ignacio youtube
I am bong r Ignacio and my gf Dian carol roxas RUclips Chanel 2024 I like cavaliers DCI I am one of a member of drum any bugel corp in daanghari navotas and cainta Rizal in 1974 to 1987 this saund is my peaborite saund in dci
❤
This was in my rookie season. The first time I watched this show was at Mt. SAC when we hosted Corps at the Crest in 95. I was so blown away by this sound!
Real DCI before it became PC...
Not sure what they are doing with DC these days but it's not real Corps. No more bugles, electric amplifiers, trombones allowed, pangentry dance is required...etc. not liking it. 🤷♂️
@@scottsimeon3187 Found the boomers
Today is not really Drum Corps but Band Corps
This is proof that you don't need to fill the field with props to win a title
@@brettguidry266I wonder how a show like this would place nowadays.
Greatest DCI show of all time.
I think I agree
Certainly up there
My 16 year old son was in that Show and 3 more years after that. It still brings me to tears every time I watch it.
What was their result this year?
Top five results for 1995 Cavs 98.3 Cadets 97.2 Blue devils 96.7 Madison scouts 95.4 Phantom regiment 94.1
Saw the finals performance live ,on the 50 yard line at 14 years old.... #EPIC
Amazing! So many tributes to shows of the past! Well done
Amazing!
I have the VHS of this competition. Such an amazing experience, I wish I were in high school again
Wow! That was fantastic! (St. Rocco's Alumni here!)
Just ran on to this. Being a Cavies fan over the years it goes to show you that once a Cavie, always a Cavie! To take the time out of your life to go and dedicate the hours to come up with this show, shows that It will always be in your blood. Great show and I know that some of you are gone now but I hope that you are looking down and see that effort is still being enjoyed today.(09/01/23). To all you Cavies - THANKS!
Michael boo ❤
2023 👋
They were literally smashing those snares!!!! Too bad it was not captured more on video. I saw them in Nashville that year. They came roaring in quarters, semifinals. Probably my favorite Cavalier years besides '92.
Belltent
Wish I could have joined them. 2008 was a busy year and I didn’t have much notice. Also haven’t played my horn since 1997 so that would have been fun to relearn everything 😂
One of the baris was a guard guy who learned to play baritone just for this.
@@davidwarner3326 hi David. That's super cool! What made him switch? I am also a native Oregonian which would have made practice difficult.
I was the oldest guy in the 888 snare line. I joined the corps when I was 11 and was an alternate on snare in the "64 line and played snare in the '66 and '67 lines. I was 15 when I left the corps and got a gig with a smokin' R&B band and I've been a profession drummer/percussionist my entire life. This was an incredible show we did and it was one of the highlights of my life. At 70 I'm still playing the Broadway shows and love hanging out with the Cavies. Splooie!
すごいなOB!
J, adore ce corp de clairon senior ils sont tres bon
This was incredible! I’m well impressed with that two rifle work !
What an honor it must have been to be back on the field again! I just came across this on RUclips and I literally felt like I was 20 years old again, in the stands, and cheering my heart out! Music is an endless time machine - the ultimate universal language. Thank you for this experience.
God bless their dedication to a passion that not many can achieve! I enjoyed this! Not a bandite what so ever! This was outstanding!
"I Vow to Thee My Country", an English song, beautifully done. These men reached back to a time when drum corps members and fans knew the name of every tune that was played; had moving color presentations, and pulled spectators out of their seats with max' general effect. We have to salute what they accomplished here. Brilliant!!! Well done!!!
Bad
Madison. Where DCI should host drum corps forever. IMHO
Um, this is Bloomington, Indiana.
Still the "GREEN MACHINE"...........Well done.....ya still got it folks!
wow!
The GREEN Machine
Oskee wow wow wow
I have watched this performance at least a half a dozen times now over the last few years and it never gets old. What dedication but you can tell they are having fun entertaining the crowd too. An amazing show
Watching this is making me tear my stepfather took me in and raised me as his own if it wasn't for him I don't know where I would be and he was a part of the cavaliers anniversary drum corps Lloyd sour was a great man and great father and everyday I miss him and I think God for all the things that he told me and the cavalier term core is badass the music is great and they're precision is very very good well guys just want to say all the cavaliers drum corps is the best drum corps God bless you all and have a good night and I miss him everyday he raised me like his own son like I said if it wasn't for him taking me in and show me how a man should be with values and ethics I thank God everyday he was with me and raised me as his own if it wasn't for the cavaliers from core and boy scouts it gave him confidence to be what he wanted to be he was a great man and a great father I miss him everyday and I love him and I miss him to watch this just seen him in there smiling and having fun that's all that's all that matters and it's all that counts well I got to go like I said guys have a great night and have a great day wherever you guys are bye for now everybody
I love you D R.I.P. I know your in heaven playing the big horns now just like when you played in drum corp your passion your memory shall live on forever as will my love for you baby I miss you sooooo much I love you always in all ways daddyiyah
Outstanding
Very nice , but your 20 years to late, done by Japanese school kids with Sing Sing Sing and dancing while they actually play.
I see you listened to the narration. The two drummers up front performed this is 1957 and 1981. All the songs are past Cavalier pieces.
Wonderful!
Lots of memories here. Thanks fellas, you all still su*k. Knash FMM 74-84
