Great performance. I think this new compser has potential, but I have to say, with all sympathy, what a task to take on the mantle of Uematsu. He's not there yet, but in time, I think he is capable.
If you haven't, I'd highly recommend to take a look through FF XIV's (and its expansions) OST, Soken has been composing almost exclusively for that game for over 10 years at this point and consistently puts out bangers there. Even if you don't feel XVI is his best work, I personally feel given the volume and consistency of his work he definitely has earned a spot w/ Uematsu in my book.
I don't believe that Soken will ever be Uematsu, because even in FFXIV, where he has been composing for 10 years, his compositions many times take old Uematsu work and remixes it. Soken is incredible regardless. Listen to a song like Penitus from FFXIV, and you will see he does indeed have his own style. But, still, Uematsu is in a league of his own. FFXVI is quite good musically though! Soken is the best composer that is at Square-Enix besides Yoko. There are quite a few really amazing songs in FFXIV that really live up to Uematsu work to be fair. I just don't think across the board with FFXIV, that it compares to something like FFVI or FFVII where the soundtrack is just god-mode in entirety. Personally, I don't believe there will be a better composer than Uematsu in my lifetime. I've listened to his music for 30 years and it's just the best. And, Soken is a breath of fresh air in modern times.
With the pc release, I finally am getting to experience it. I have been playing FF since I was 7 years old. I’m 33 now. The childhood nostalgia is there but it it’s own new mature way. I know some don’t like how things evolved but I can’t help but love what the experience has been so far! My biggest take away from FF were always the courage, hope, and determination the characters show throughout the series. It’s songs like this that remind me of how to persevere through life’s toughest challenges. Thank you for making this! It’s tied for my favorite with “force your way” by you!

This theme is like scary levels of kikazz from start to fin lololol. OoooO and I'm diggin that new guitar hoooly crap that bursty quilty top greyish to black finish is pretty eye catching! Is that binding on the body outline as well? NICE touch! Sick playing as always! Ya know, I was never a big metal head but ever since I found this channel I'm slowly being converted lololol. I feel like Lou Reed when he started hanging out with Metallica lololol

Surprisingly after some blind tests we did with some friends, the stock Schecter pickups came out on top for rhythm tones, beating the likes of EMGs, Seymour Duncans and Fishman pickups! So I decided I might as well use it for my covers too. It's got a lot of edge to it, I love it!

hell yeah, this is the best boss battle theme in all of Final Fantasy.
Find the Flame FFXVI, Valkyrie FF7Remake, Heartless FFXIV are all superior boss themes tbh but this one is great
