Here's the thing that I love and admire about Mark Tremonti. His solos always have an element of shred, but it always fits seamlessly into the rest of the song. The solo for Dust, a song I have listened to hundreds of times, STILL gives me goosebumps EVERY time. It is the apex of how a solo can both shred AND contribute to the song as a whole. I love all of Mark's work across all three bands, but Dust is one of those top shelf songs for me.

AlterBridge is so versatile! You’re absolutely correct 👍
Tremonti spent 3 yrs 24/7 365 after Creed broke up practicing lead guitar and the shackles were off to create killer riffs and shreddy skillful solos! Meanwhile Myles Kennedy’s vocals took everything to a whole new stratosphere- yet he also has amazing nuance and timbre to his voice to create absolutely beautiful tender songs when required. And…Kennedy is a fantastic lead and rhythm guitarist in his own right - adding a bit of a classic rock and bluesy element to AlterBridge to complement Tremonti’s more modern metal leanings - often in the same song!
    Awesome band!

FABLE is my current favorite song along w "the Summoning" that I have been listening on repeat for months now - Myles and his other worldly vocals w Tremonti's guitar as well as the amazing rythm section that gets missed sometimes (much love Brian and Flip) this song is right there on "Blackbird"s heels for me....
Mark has really become my fav out of all these different versions - his voice and lyrics are consistently growing as he creates more music, I really really dig his power he has found in his voice, its a rich emotive sound that just gets better as he sings more in his solo efforts !!

I love your trips through the world of Mark Tremonti. If you want to be blown away by Tremonti, listen to Desolation. It's one of his best.

These are not the songs I would have picked from tremonti and alter bridge but still great music all around. Please continue to explore. Mark tromani's catalog and be sure to listen to the alter bridge songs that he sings lead on. I'm also not sure if you're aware that Mark tremonti is the singer of the band tremonti. Mark also did a charity album of all Sinatra songs that he sang, he actually put together Frank Sinatra's touring band to record the album in the studio. This year. He also put out a Christmas album singing in that style as well. The man has talent falling off of him. I know you enjoy the harder stuff so check out throw them to the Lions from a dying machine and let that be us and if not for you off of a dying machine, both killer songs

Can you add his jazz crooner stuff to your next stream? He has his Mark Tremonti Sings Sinatra album and just released his first Christmas Album. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

That first song makes me think of the band living color. Unforgiven sounds old and poor in comparison to Tremonti’s later work and current bands . Stand with me is one of my faves from his creed period I always liked those simple but pretty intros I think the best tracks on that were the opening track “Bullets” and for Atmospheric guitar playing “who’s got my back” “Metallingus” the first song that knocked my socks off My fave off their first Album it also makes me wanna go and listen to Zakk Wyld’s stuff Tremonti’s own stuff is little of him a little Alter bridge and a heavy dose of creed. Mark Will never really escape from those early days as it the essence of who he is and you can always recognize his playing… He’s just so much more free’er in his playing. I would have loved to have had my hands on making up your viewing list.
The current King of Solos is Nuno Bettencourt and if your looking guitar work to review I would look up the sadly gone missing Vito Bratta of White lion It’s not really my kinda music as I’m 20 years too late for the glam rock/ Hair metal bands of the late 80’s and to be honest I think the music is kind bubblegum sucky But I came across a album by White lion called Main attraction and was blown away by his guitar work. I think he was the last of the great guitar soloist from that era. If he’d kept it up people would regard him as highly as Eddie and Nuno so yeppers that’s the vibes I got from this video great job really enjoyed it

Yes he does - in that he has a huge vocal range and can hit extreme highs and hold them without falsetto seemingly effortlessly. He’s also got a really nice timbre to his voice in his lows, that adds a bit of a Cornell feel at times. But he’s distinctively himself and awesome at all times!

Didn't ya just do this day before? I just cringe when i hear that nu sound! Even music i liked that wound up leading to it i have a hard time with still. Wish i or someone could fund explorations of NWOBHM or true pioneers of Metal & UnSung Heros? Cheerz- j~
