This is a flat transfer from my pretty old VCR and tape, using a cheap analog to digital gadget. Hope you like it anyway.

Apparently she's very shy. I saw them in concert a few years ago in an old, Gothic church in Los Angeles, and they had the lights so low we could only see silhouettes.
Kurt Cobain from Nirvana included Mazzy Star as one of his favorite groups just before he died.

They are both really hard interviews, they seem quite uncomfortable but yet they are amazing live
Hope is notoriously shy, so that accounts for the discomfort.

My sentiments exactly. I felt very awkward just watching them. There was no chemistry and it felt so forced. They make a very bad interview.
Definitely amazing live. They are both extreme introverts. And Hope doesn't like self-promotion. It doesn't sit comfortably with her. Some people have trouble with the words, selling their art. Because we make it for ourselves. I feel the same. And if we choose to share, it's a gift. That's why it's uncomfortable. Hope wears her heart, with great courage, on her sleeve, always. Hold on Hope, because Hope's Got a Hold on Me...Myself. I have to use a performance art costume to play on stage. Otherwise I just can't 😪😪🤗🤗❤❤

@@Gunners_Mate_Guns When he asks moronic simplistic questions like "are you both from California?". The answer is going to be a simple "yes" or "no". And he already knows the answer anyway. He could have included that info in his basic introduction of the band. The guy just sucks as an interviewer.

Yeah he`s French Canadian from Quebec, I live there at the moment and still on this day it`s rare to find an interviewer here that is not weird like this one lol

When you are already looking out some Mazzy Star / Hope Sandoval & the warm... + You see Claude Rajotte en bonus et que t'as grandi avec Musique Plus quand c'était edgy mais avec une mission première de faire l'exégèse de la scène musicale internationale, Claude Rajotte c'était ça. C'était l'équivalent de l'employé un peu nerd qui savait tout chez HMV et qu'on callait sur l'intercom parce-que t'es hyper spécifique ahahah Merci à Claude d'avoir tracé la carte
I can only imagine what the non-english speaking french audience must have been thinking when the interviewer asks a question and either one of them goes " um............Yes" or they give an "um.........errr.........no" and then the interviewer proceeds to 'translate" that answer by speaking continuously for 45 seconds in French.

And he also asked really stupid questions. Fans dying to hear insights from this beautiful creature and his first question is, 'so is it just the 3 of you or are the more musicians in the group?' Then he asks why it took so long for her album to reach gold in the US. What an idiot.
Not to mention the other times when he just looks into the camera and speaks gibberish. ;)
@@zdfvbadfbadb apparently you seems not have been living around French or Canadian people, that how they socialize and interview their hosts. It's a typical interview. American are strait forward and goes to the point like a rushing train unlike French they will discus details about your daily life and have a sit with you around a casual table found in many bar and bistro in France and throughout Europe.
