In today's video we will be unboxing my (new) iPhone :)
It's an iPhone 13 Pro in silver with 256gb of storage. I actually recorded this unboxing over 6 months ago in December of 2023 but never got around to editing it because I thought it was sooo boring. But I decided since many people buy refurbished iPhones it would be nice to share my experience with you. This is the second iPhone I purchased from Back Market and I am very pleased with their customer support. As always, If you have any questions chat with me in the comment section. wiping metal polisher on the silver stainless steel frame works great in removing scratches
I have tried that on my old XS but it didn’t seem to work :( Do you have any recommendations on which metal polish works best?
@@mariusmika I used Pledge metal polish on mine. Btw this method only works on silver stainless steel iphones
yes i know haha, I heard on the darker phones you’d wipe the color off and it would get silver if you do this (if I remember correctly). Thank you btw, I‘ll check it out :)

i got an amazon renewed 13 pro graphite for around 500usd with zero scratches and 94% batt. no history of repairs as well and with 88 charge cycles only. . .

No, not at all. It has 120hz which makes animations really smooth and the Cameras are really good! I record most parts of my videos with my phone. If you want to check out the quality you can watch my London vlog or my last uni diaries (what I eat in a week). Those were both entirely filmed using this phone.
The only thing that I do not like is the stainless steel frame because it scratches way too easily, but other than that I love this phone! :)
upgraded from the regular 13 to the 15 pro and I will say I liked the camera better on the 13 lol. it’s still a really good phone it’ll hold up for a few years so i say go for it.
Please get the iphone 13 or pro version both are good as the 15 …. Hey im gonna get one too ❤

Real: battery kinda shieet, no matter how smart iphone uses its mAh 3000mah is still 3000mah 😂😂 and its system TOO basic. Other than that it is perfect phone ❤

I would have been choosing a refurbished pastel blue 13 Pro in a few year if it weren’t for the low PWM dimming (that unfortunately my blue 13 obviously has too) which in this video can be seen with subtle continuous flickering on the screen :’c…
I will probably settle on a refurbished pastel green (I love these 2 pastel tones!) Honor Magic 6 Pro, the PWM dimming rate is very high so that there won’t be any to very little (as other Chinese phones) in a few years and I cannot wait :’3 🌱🍉🦉

That could be possible too! As far as I read it’s a display matter, hence why in the camera I see it, I know it’s invisible to our eyes :>

yes, I would’ve kept. I usually keep my phones for a little over 3 years. Before the 12 pro I had the XS Max for about 3 1/2 years.
I also don‘t really every upgrade to the newest model. :)
@@mariusmika thank you for replying. I’m the person who got in a habit of upgrading to the newer models, but your response along with costs these days has encouraged me to hang on to my current model longer and enjoy what it has to offer.🫶🏾

I don’t know if it’s normal or not but since it’s been refurbished, I can’t really tell how careful the previous owner was with the battery.
I wouldn’t say I was particularly careful because I think a phone is there to be used and I don’t wanna have to worry about if it’s being charged up to 100% or not. But the iPhone has battery health features that make it only go up to 80% until you need it which should elongate the battery’s health. I don’t think it’s a big deal though because I can always get the battery replaced.😊

it’s not the cases that leave the mark but rather the particles that get trapped inside of the case like the dust when I put my phone inside my pocket😅. If you don’t put your phone in your pocket its probably not going to happen.☺️

@@mariusmika thank you sm for replying 🥹 would you recommend cleaning inbetween the case and the phone regularly to prevent those scratches, or just embrace the impermanence of stuff?
depends on what you like, I personally like to keep my phones in pristine condition because the resell-value will be higher but some people also like the "used" look of stainless steel. It’s all about preference☺️ I personally change my case once every other week and clean it then but the scratches still happen 🥲
l am confused between 13 pro and 12 pro max refurbished. Which should l go?
I would go for the 13 Pro, it has many quality of life improvements in hardware and software compared to the 12 Pro (for example: 3x zoom lens, cinema mode, 120hz, etc.)

woah from the 7 Plus to the 13 Pro is a huge upgrade😄 I think that the prices will go down a little but I don‘t think they‘ll come down right away, how much I can‘t say though. you have to keep an eye out :)

I really want to buy a refurbished phone but don't know about the battery. What is your battery health?
as shown in the video it was at 90% when I got it. Most refurbishers give you the option to replace the battery for a bit more money though if you want to have 100%. After almost 7 months of use my battery health has gone down 5%. It still gets me through the day relatively easily, so I‘m not complaining. :)
why did you go from the iPhone 15 to the 13 Pro?
I didn’t, the 15 is my dads :)

I got it from *backmarket*, NOT directly from Apple. Refurbished Devices from apple are way too expensive in my opinion :)

ich habe gerade nochmal nachgeschaut und es gibt die drei Zustände gut, sehr gut & hervorragend. Premium sehe ich nicht. Mein iPhone habe ich im Zustand hervorragend gekauft :)

No, I have no issues at all :)
I just googled what you mean because I‘ve never heard of it but I read that if anything were to go wrong with your iPhone screen (that isn’t your fault ofc), apple will replace it for free. I wouldn’t be scared of the screen issue because everybody that I know with a 13 Pro has no issues at all. But there’s always something that could break. It’s technology, and technology breaks sometimes for some odd reason. But that shouldn’t stop you from getting the 13 Pro😄
Hello! I'm thinking about buying my iPhone 13 pro at Swappie. I would like to know if you recommend buying it with a new battery? I'm just not sure, because they say that the battery is not original but it is still high quality and I don't know. I don't know if you didn't buy it because of lack of money or just because it's better. Thank you! :)
I have never bought from Swappie so I can’t tell you how "high quality" the batteries from them are. I think it depends on how much more money they charge. If it’s a lot more then I wouldn’t do it.
I got mine without a new battery because I decided that I can always get it replaced when battery life becomes really bad. And with most companies you can send it back within a few weeks without giving a reason (atleast on backmarket). If you‘re unhappy with the battery you can always send it back and get one with a new battery. :)

they are both basically the same thing, depends on which size you like better. One thing to consider aswell is the weight. The normal 13 Pro is very heavy already and the 13 Pro Max is even heavier. Maybe you can try looking at the different sized iPhones in an Apple Store :)

there are quite a few differences:
- 120hz display
- camera has 3x zoom instead of 2x
- it’s heavier
- the notch is smaller (but doesn’t really make a difference)
- the camera has cinema mode (makes the background in videos blurry and you can choose focus later)
- it has a better processor
- the screen gets brighter
- the camera has photographic styles, ProRes, MacroMode
I can’t think of anything else right now but that should give you a glimpse of the differences. Imo the 13 Pro was a big upgrade from the 12 Pro. Hope this helps 🫶🏼
