Chet Atkins "Mr. Guitar" plays Jazz

Whether it's "Mr. Guitar," "The Country Gentleman" or "the Godfather of the Guitar," Chet Atkins is a Country Music giant, but he was also quite comfortable playing jazz as well as this video proves with fifteen minutes of sweet Chet jazz guitar with friends Mark Knopfler, George Benson, Earl Klugh and Les Paul .

Some of my favorite Chet jazz licks are shown here. His sweeping is 2nd to none! Sweet Georgia Brown with playing with Stanley Jordan is a classic! Chet wasn't just a country guitarist, he was a guitarist's guitarist, capable of playing multiple genres with the best of them. Youngest artist to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as well. Won 14 Grammy's and was recognized with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award!
