- Jonte Harris, 31, was sentenced to mandatory life in prison on multiple charges, while Zykerria's mother, Michelle Cannimore, 31, was given 30 years on one charge.
NOT FAIR! A woman that ALLOWS a man to kill her child deserves life without parole!
Instead of giving her daughter such a fancy name, the mom should've just christened her "Jane Doe."

As a mother who was bullied by my abuser to pick him over my then unborn son (I didn’t, escaped, and was discarded), I don’t understand why either. My father did that, and then some.

Over the past 8 months or so, there's been an awful lot of them. There's Jose Ruiz in San Antonio right now on trial for abusing and killing his girlfriend's 5 year old daughter - the abuse was sadistic and the mother never stopped it. She's pled guilty. I'm just so incensed over all these innocent children suffering like this.
She have no idea what she finna go through in the women prison it's worst them man prison!!

The grandparents were in the middle of a case trying to get custody of the children. The system knew these children were being abused, why were they NOT removed from the home!!

I once dated someone who tried to punish my son when he acted up one day. I immediately let it be known. Im the mother, and i will be the only one disciplining my child. Safe to say the relationship ended shortly after that. I will always have my sons best interest before any man's.

I’m glad that judge corrected the mother’s witnesses talking about “she’s a good mother.” A good mother does not allow their kids to knowingly be abused.

My good friend had a terribly abusive childhood but he could not be a better father to his daughter. He vowed to never treat his children as he'd been treated. He's gentle and loving. He has his issues but he learned what not to do.

I zoomed in when she was reading to the judge what she wrote, and through all the ‘sobbing’ there was not one drop of wetness coming from her eyes. You can’t cry without tears. All the ‘wiping’ of her eyes was just to make them red and for you to think she’s wiping away tears. Her baby had real tears and plenty of them. I think I actually saw one towards the end, but she’s just crying for herself.

Jonte now a high profile inmate needs to be kept in maximum security prison for 23/1 for his own safety. it will be decades before he is even consider to be out in general population. This to me is a sentence worse then death. may that little girl RIP she deserved better. Unfortunaly for her she was placed with these two monsters.

I remember that…. when he was being interrogated. They straight up moved her out of her room and made her sleep on the couch and got furious every time she peed on it. Well, she’s 5…. They still pee at that age. Should’ve kept her in her bed. There’s also pads specifically for that, that you lay on. Not period pads.

I had a friend who abused her son, and we had no idea. I didn't find out until she died. I apologized for not knowing. He said it wasn't your fault.
