The scenery of Norway is just spectacular, especially along the coastline. My favourite was the transition from bridge to tunnel to bridge at 2:03 - amazing engineering! Great video.
I love Scandinavia. And, it's ever unbelievable how far and how wide this all is. Just around 2500 till Oslo. 😮 I visiting with my parents this region in 2001 and I forgot how beautiful it was. ❤
Even Narvik is over 1,000 kilometers, and still north of the artic circle, a multi-day drive. Northern Scandinavia is absolutely huge. From the Netherlands it is much farther away than the southern tip of Spain. It took me 4 full days of driving to get to Kirkenes (3,300 km).
Here is a video from the other side of the border - ruclips.net/video/0vfzFIw08I4/видео.html - the road on the russian side has been upgrade too - actually the whole E105 has seen a lot of upgrades all the way to St Petersburg - use Google street view to see the standard on the russian side - they have pictures from 2021 (but not near the border) - And the part from Kirkenes to Murmansk have not so much traffic these days, naturally because of the war - for example all the truck traffic between Norway and Russia has nearly gone.
It's Russian. This area of Norway is as the video implies, near (and even at) the border to Russia. So to accomodate Russians visiting at least some of the signs to towns like Kirkenes, and cities like Murmansk in Russia are signposted. In Kirkenes itself a lot of street names, signs etc are also in Russian. the library says Bibliotek (Library in Norwegian) and библиотека (ditto in Russian), and a few businesses have signs in Russian next to Norwegian.
@@Glenni91N Apparently Russian border citizens can travel up to 50 km or so into Norway without a visa. There are signs on E6 west of Kirkenes that inform you where the visa-free radius ends.
Russian living near the border can visit the border area without a visa and Norwegians the Russian border area. But they do need a personal permit for it, and it is applied in a similar way to visa, at the local consulate. So it is in reality a 5 year duration multiple-entry visa, even if it is not called a visa, which after application and approval gives a right to visit without further visas. The road signs have russian text after an agreement that Russia put the norwegian name Kirkenes along their road, and Norway put Мурманск and Киркенес on their road.

Thank you for sharing an amazingly beautiful trip!

So cool to see new recordings from Norway.

And your startpoint was even East of Istanbul!
Storskog literally means "big forest". E105 officially continues into the center of Kirkenes (shared with E6) but it's not signposted as such.
Nice to see a remote and unknown part of Norway. And the cycling paths next to it. Although I never see any cyclists :)
Did you buy this font (Trafikkalfabetet) or did you download it? I'm having hard time finding it.
When will you use Take On Me in a video? And will you use ABBA song for the Sweden videos?
Finally get to see some Russian signs in Norway!
Wow, 2600km down to the southern swedish border driving along Norway. That is half way across the continental USA.
I've driven this in Euro Truck Simulator 2 using promods. Maybe one day in real life.
I drove to kirkenes too in ets2!

Why do the signs have two languages and what is there lower one?

@@EuropeanRoads They can, I'm not sure if it's still possible after the war in Ukraine started - but at least before that they could.
