Absolutely LOVED the movie!!! I agree that it was amazing that Eric got his own song; like, we really don’t get to know much about how he feels in the animated film. His longing for the unknown in the sea and her longing for the unknown above it makes their connection make so much more sense! And girl!! That ending scene with Triton got me too 😭😭

The new song for Ariel was amazing!!! I wasn’t thrilled about the fact she only had one main dress pretty much majority of the movie HOWEVER, I was so impressed by Halle. Her chemistry with Prince Eric had my sister and I blushing.
Yes! I think certain scenes were lost due to them building more of a storyline between her and Eric

I really enjoyed this movie. Halle did fantastic and I was crying when she was singing "Part of Your World". I also think Daveed Diggs did a great job as Sebastian. He was so funny.

Absolutely love this movie. It’s definitely one of Disneys very best live action remakes. I thought the acting and voice work from the entire cast was perfect from top to bottom. And Halle Bailey is gonna be a huge star in Hollywood and in the music industry for many years to come

My favorite scenes are the scene in the market place because it showed so much culture and so many different kinds of people living their lives in such a beautiful way. It was beautiful to watch, and while it had its own twists, it paid homage to the original from a different angle. My other favorite scene is when Ariel is in Eric's little treasure room and the two bond over that. I love that it showed parallels between them and how they understand each other. I also love the little moment when Ariel helps save Max during the shipwreck---it just made me really happy.
I have a little bit of mixed feelings about this movie. There are some things that I adored and some things that I didn't like. But I'm so happy that a lot of people are loving it. And of course, Halle slayed. Her voice is enchanting. Facts on your intro too. I'm a pretty harsh critic, but when it comes to the hate, people need to get a life.
I just overall LOVED IT. As soon as she opened her mouth for Part of Your World me and my mom got chills and my mom stayed up for the whole movie and she never does that😂

Halle Bailey did not deserve the racism that people made against her all for clout on the internet was disgusting I think she captured the essence for the clips that I have seen of the movie after all it’s an kids movie I have seen videos from people where they used and radicalized their children into hating the movie and that’s wrong instead of letting them enjoy it as children and in support of the actress as an person who grew up in mixed racial children’s homes and schools where it was full of diversity and representation that wasn’t a problem back then and in pantomime’s nobody had an issue of having gender swapped Peter Pan so casting an African American actress to play an fictional character is I find that idiotic and need to grow up and I will support this movie when it comes out on Blu ray
im from trinidad and enjoyed the movie, ik people are like sabastian jamaican accent isnt fully valid. i understand that but the original isnt also what jamaican sounds like, but both did a perfect impression
Shit I was glued to screen like as if I didn’t know the script by heart lmao Halle had my lungs and oxygen on by a grip I had a even more better time than my nieces lmao I was singing along very loud and yeah I was a big ass kid too in the movie plus my cousin works at this boujee movie theater so we had the beds chairs front row covered by family and yess I would love to see a spin off movie about Ariel and her sisters as well

I loved the movie. I saw it twice. I think i like it better than the original. The original still holds a special place but the live action was better than i ever thought. & im just excited we actually have a live action.
Yes! I think the live action took more time building a storyline of Prince Eric, his background and why + how he and Halle were so connected. It was more than just her voice
I absolutely love the movie I literally seen it four times this week. You know we have to support this film. We have to show love to this film because it’s getting so much heat around the world and we know why so as a Community ass to support this movie and plus it was an amazing turn out … however, I wish that the sisters had more screen time and it was a backstory on Ursula
Omg yes!!!! When I saw the sisters I was in AWEEEEE! They were beautiful! And a backstory on Ursula will EAT! Especially cause it’s now confirmed that she’s the auntie. I’m currently planning on seeing it again 😂❤️

My only problem with this movie was that it totally demeans men. It made all the male characters except for Grimsby awful. It made Eric weak and shallow, Sebastian useless, Flounder useless and forgettable, and Triton just flat out cruel and boarder-line abusive.
What is it with modern Disney needing to make male characters look bad in order to make female characters appear strong? What are they brainwash people into thinking that the only thing men are good for is breeding stalk?

I went to see the movie over the weekend and Halle did great and I couldn't see a better person play the role if Ariel. I didn't realize the original Ariel was in the movie, what part was she in?
I was surprised I was able to sit the the movie. Generally, I find CGI to be visually disturbing and I become nasauseous but I didn't have any issues with this movie unlike other Disney live actions. My only critique is that I didn't find the movie that "child/kid friendly" its not necessarily this movie but "kid" movies nowadays seem to have adult themes and always be pushing a message that are over childrens head and I find it to be unnecessary. Other than that it was great definitely nostalgic and provided a deeper story. ❤
She was the one who gave Ariel the fork when she was exploring Eric's community

I loved the movie! ❤ I was apprehensive because of all the hate but it honestly was so good I hope it continues to do good in the box office!
I had mixed feelings about this movie in terms of the changes in writing and certain directions. But I will say that Halle is definitely the highlight of this film along with Melissa. They along with Jonah and Halle's chemistry, to me what saved the film and i agree, it's the best live action after 2015 Cinderella. It was fun and enjoyable in comparison to the other live action remakes. I would definitely watch it again.
Me personally I embrace the changes, it’s a live action so it’s not going to be exactly the same, I feel like that’s why a lot of people have a hard time accepting them. But, even with changes you either like it or you don’t so I understand. But yes Halle and Melissa did amazing!!!
Under the sea is my favorite scene..... I'm South African I'll give the movie a 6/7.
