thank you, this was very helpful- recently broke one of these pieces off completly by mistake while it was in storage, i am guessing one of the other ram moduals had knocked it off or something- i assumed it was irrepearable but im happy i kept the pieces.
Good tutorial, but I have 2 suggestion, to find the perfect match SMD, better get a Multi-meter to test each one out with the ground pin to find the bad guy. 2ndly, get a solder station with tentacle holder. take advantage of flux+heat gun combo, remove and attach the SMDs by using a Tweezers instead. Other than that, the methodology is very good presented in this video. Thanks
You always welcome. That's right, but i do my videos so, that all can do the same even without a multimeter, not all people's have all the equipments what i have, so i did this video so easy as possible. ;)
Maybe if you use DDR3 Dimm donnor can be used layout posibly is the same, but mix DDR2, 3 and 4 you need to test with multimeter or try to find the correct one. The SMD that you are talkin in the video are resistor black color generally and beige are ceramic condensers for low voltage and low capacitance.
Sure, but if you can't test, you can do it like this and test it on the system. MemTest will also ahow you if all is really working like it should work ✌️

@@NSC-Modz try. i bet 10 000$ it will. the only critical parts are resistors. caps are used as filtering, they dont transfer any data on any dram sticks

You always welcome. Nice you keep the brocken smds, so you put someone can try to soldering it back.

Thats amazing soldering skills!! Man I can't even hardly solder a psu pcb...
Thank you so much ^^ You always welcome
Great skills man, can't believe you did that.
Thank you very much, yes, it still works :)
Nice work! Danke! Dzięki!

Intersting as always keep them coming brother👍🏼✌🏼️.
Thank you, i try my best :)
you have a very nice touching hand in soldering thumbs up!
Thank you very much! :)
It calls SMD Capacitors, not transistors, anyway thanks. Great video. Keep going
Yeah, thank you, my English is not the best and then i get always confused :)
I was also surprised when he said that 😂

This is flux :)
Good job....

What is the little black chip (the one that's much smaller than the big chips) that's on the back and front of the RAM modules?
SPD chip?
My soldering skills are garbage there’s just no hope for me to fix this

my ram does not have any melts but its not working
how do you determine your smd capacitor values?
With a multimeter or an extra tool which you can buy. But in this case no need to because they the same.
do you where i can have ram repaired?
corsair won't provide me warranty since i bought ram off Ebay....
