Your ideas for making the game more interesting are great! I'm especially liking the gas giant thing. If there was the imminent danger of falling into it so they develop special shields that can withstand pressure better so you can delve deeper for higher reward materials/commodities but are less effective in combat or something, that would be cool.
You know usually I take all the weapons off of my explorers for weight but after you said, "sometimes you need to poke something." I always started thinking to myself yeah there has been a time or two I wish I could have poked something.
I was literally trying to get a look at the one coming in from the banard loop last night. The cannon site gave me a good lead on it after i lost track of it after arriving in front of the messier object in front of the loop.
Had my first discovery and foot fall on a HMC less than 50ly out from the bubble, while doing a RtR route at that! It was a pretty shit looking planet TBF...
Absolutely black body emissions can't be green and that's because the spectrum can't be narrow enough not to include either blues or reds. There is nothing to say a ship can't emit a narrower band of light...
I know most play this on pc.. but is this here on console as well??? I havnt played in almost a yr, but if this is something thats going on on console too ima get back on finally

I love this game but being a console peasant, I just can’t play anymore knowing there’s things I can’t do in it. Can’t walk on planets (don’t really care about on foot pew pew) yet I always wanted to be able to walk about on planets. Can’t experience any of the Thargoid stuff so I just can’t get into it anymore. I’d just gotten max Imperial rank and unlocked the main imperial ship. Guess I’ll never use it now.

It could be similar to flying in a high g planet but if you mess up you are gone.

Explorer ships are made out of paper mache because paper mache is very light and you can throw it very far.

No it’s not. They cut all console support (barring maintenance).

try ksp or simplerockets 2 they hit different but they scratch the exploration itch
