So I'm simply enjoying the video about my favorite arcade game of all time, when all of a sudden, my old For Sale ad for my Space Harrier Deluxe shows up on the screen. So dope! And yes, it DID sell for my asking price and yes, it was absolutely gorgeous, fully restored to museum quality condition. I didn't want to sell it OR my Outrun Deluxe motion cabinet, but I needed the money to keep afloat at a time when I had lost all of my work. Thanks again Covid.

My favourite childhood arcade game, my local arcade at the sea front had the stand up version. Loved it.

Great video and a good looking machine! I remember playing Space Harrier back in the day. Glad you brought one back to life. Sure don't see them around anymore. I for one would love to hear the story of your original arcade collection Casandra. We are all family here! ;)

Hi Cassandra aka @VintageArcadeGal, thanks for sharing your workshop chronicles on Space Harrier. I just love the game too and share a very similar story back in the day in the arcades playing it. Just revolutionary!! I recently bought a mini sit down and was wondering for some advice as my seat frame has almost identical rust as yours did. Could you kindly share how you restored it, chemicals (I’d any used), etc. It’ll be greatly appreciated!

Great video. Love the history that you explain. I had an upright for a while then I sold it. I regret it. I'm looking for another one. Hopefully some day. Thank you

Great video. Just found your channel and have enjoyed watching your videos. I will never be able to a Space Harrier cab for my collection, but think you have convinced me to pick it up on my Iircade.

Nice video! Space Harrier means a lot to me as well, it was a game that occupied my imagination so much after first seeing it when it must have still been fairly new. I didn't see the hardware limitations, like the screen resolution and minimal frames of animation on the sprites. Instead I saw fantasy come to life, and I, or any other player, could be in it. For a few seconds at least, before being shot down.
Many years later, I got to play the Space Harrier in front of some young Sega staff, and was told afterwards that they'd never seen anyone play the game properly before.

Hey Cassandra, just wanted to say that I love the video. Even though I've been playing Space Harrier since the 80s, I learned a lot from you. I love the restoration too. Don't be so hard on yourself regarding the finish, I think it looks perfect. As you say, the cigarette burns just add to the history... If only arcade machines could talk, I wonder what they'd say! :-)

I used to play the deluxe cabinet version in Brighton Palace Pier, in 1985.

Back in the late 80's, first time experience with SEGA Space Harrier was on the SEGA Master System console...I never thought it was on an Arcade Cabinet. Don't recall seeing one in the arcades, but did see and played Enduro Racer...😎

I'm a Space Harrier nut and I actually learned a few new things from your fantastic narration. Curious who the side art repro vendor was? I am looking to buy repro art from an outfit in the UK called Arcade Art Shop and was wondering if you have any experience with them.

Oh how I hate this game.. I scrapped one out years ago and put it to the curb… some fat kid saw it and thought it was complete.. I was glad it wasn’t cus he was fat and didn’t need another sit down hobby ! Lol
