Hello fellow RUclips comment section. I would like to let you know that this is just my opinion. Regardless if you disagree, I stand by my opinion that @strafefox is the most underrated channel on RUclips. Thank you so much for your understanding and have a nice life. ☺️
Outrun is my favorite arcade driving game. It's perfect in every way, and was super avant-garde. Yu Suzuki and the SEGA team did some amazing wizardry to pull this one off. Salute. You guys will remain as legends in the classic arcade gaming fraternity, and no doubt inspired many a modern arcade racing game!

I've said it many times before, and I will happily say it again, the production quality of the videos on this channel is absolutely incredible. Top drawer content, amazing.
The authors of this channel constantly push out amazing content! The production quality is off the charts! with writing and narration to match! The research involved is also immaculate. It seems each video takes roughly 4 months to develop but I much rather prefer this level of quality and research instead of the rushed weekly videos that other channels chase to try to match the algorithm. It's just so nice to see a video that isn't filled with inaccurate research, lack of sources, grammatical errors, and more. Keep it up, your content is absolutely top tier!
Completely agree. Produce great videos at their own pace rather than chase a deadline, (which gamers know destroys good games) and that makes me look forward to new videos than it does on other channels that churn them out where I pick and choose what I watch.
Ah, it's always a happy day in which there is a new Splash Wave video! Also refreshing to see parts of the gaming history that's not always told. You guys deserve much more views, subs, everything.
Another excellent video from you. Incredibly polished, no filler, no annoying mid-video sponsors, just good quality, well researched content. Thanks again.
No repetition of points which seem to be common in RUclips videos as well as mentioning things and then saying 'we'll come to that later'. It feels like the love for classic gaming is still there from the makers and that's probably due to them but having to rush out so many videos.

When someone tells me that the content on RUclips is garbage, I show them this channel. It is always worth waiting a few months to see quality content.
An absolutely outstanding and informative episode -- yet again. A suitable treatment to some of the greatest and most important 80s videogames ever. This channel should put certain other high profile channels out there (naming no names, ahem) to shame.
Marvelous production! I am always amazed by your team's dedication in making these "documentaries". For me, your channel is one of the heavyweights of top-tier RUclips channels with high production value. Really worth the wait!
That was an awesome episode of Miami Vice where Crockett tries to save Gina. The original boss babe. I'm talking about 13:14. They try to save Gina from Stanley Tucci's character.
I've been a huge fan for years, every time I see there's a new video, it just takes priority one. Pacing, sources, script, visuals and music choices are so, so well made. When the documentary took on those beautiful 3D visuals, mimicking Outrun's aesthetics, the video just hit perfection!! 💯✨
Wow...this was absolutely incredible Splash Wave. I remember the very first time I saw Space Harrier in the arcades...I was absolutely mesmerized (1987, I think). I remember wanting so badly to have that experience on my Master System or Nes... When the Sega Genesis launched in 1989 with Space Harrier II...I knew I had to have it. I got my Genesis in 1989 with Altered Beast, Ghouls n' Ghosts, and Space Harrier II. While Space Harrier for the Genesis didn't quite reach the arcade version it was decent for the year. At least it made me good enough to beat Space Harrier in the arcades with 2 credits. Great content!
I remember playing Outrun and Hang On as a kid, maybe as an 8 year old, at Chuck E Cheese- those games were 'better' than the other arcade games from the time. And the fact you got to ride on a life size racing motorcycle was pretty mind blowing. And who could forget the full size Afterburner? Those games had 'staying' power as well, as some arcades kept them around well into the early part of the final stage Arcade renovation/refurbishment era from the early 90s which deleted the 'look' of the 70s and 80s arcades for a cleaner, "family fun" center look. Thanks for the outstanding historical recap and video!
