I feel like Dr Octopus is going to have an identity crisis in NWH. He turns up, he's on task, he wants to make his nuclear fusion miniature sun machine and give everybody clean, sustainable energy, no matter how many people he has to kill, but then everyone's like "Doc, that technology already exists here. It's an arc reactor, you're describing an arc reactor right now." And then his legs talk to him and he's like "Ok, well my OTHER life's work is these octopus arms, do people in this universe have four extra nanotechnology octopus arms?" And spiderman's like "yes! I have those! They're really compact and they fold right into my suit!" "Ok, but do they convince you to commit crimes?" "NO, they don't. I feel like that's better!" "Yeah that probably is better." And then he quits being a scientist.

You should definitely read the full GQ article where that quote is from. It's really insightful, and Holland expresses how worn out he is from Hollywood and acting in general. It's more than just Spider-Man, although Spider-Man does play a big part in that.

I still haven’t gotten around to seeing anything with Anya Taylor Joy in it but juding by the last few years you can tell that Hollywood and Netflix are in absolute love with her. Good for her.
1:44:00 speaking of the recent Poirot movie, I’ll be honest that I never read the book before or seen any of the old Poirot shows (don’t tell Dave Warneke). It was a pretty good movie, but when it was getting to the reveal, about 30 seconds before it, I suddenly realized where it was going and I eye-rolled so hard it was so dumb. Sure it was probably ground-breaking at the time but it just feels so passe nowadays.
I just want one thing, James and Mason trying to open the hawkeye package with an explosive. More specifically the lead up of James constantly questioning the whole situation and Mason assuring him everything is going great.
As an American, and since we have been know to translate foreign terms to something more American-centric AND considering I listen to the Australian Mr. Sunday Movies on Monday, can I now call you Mr. Monday Movies? AKA MMM?

Howdy weekly planet james and maso, although the western genre has been overly saturated in the past I think I would argue that now there seems to be a resurgence thanks to Taylor Sheridan. With Yellowstone, he’ll or high water, and even sicario, there are still some of those western themes and even settings at time placed in modern day making it a kind of pseudo-western

I also know nothing about League of Legends, but Arcane is phenomenal. From what I can tell, there are nods to the game, but the story is contained to itself so there's no worries about being lost if you're not a fan of the games.

For those foreigners who care, during their Windscreens O Brien diversion, Tullamarine refers to Tullamarine Airport (hence the plane jokes), which was the former name of what is now known as Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine is the suburb of outer Melbourne that the airport is located in but for some reason Melbournians feel the need to rename stuff without good cause hence Flinders Park where the Australian Tennis Open is held was renamed Melbourne Park and Spencer Street Station in Melbourne which is the train station that connects Melbourne with regional Victoria and the rest of Australia was bizarrely renamed Southern Cross station which doesnt help anyone really when thats not even a location in Melbourne.

I'm calling it now; the Johansson project is going to be one of the first round of X-Men movies. Maybe a solo-ish film that introduces one of the central X-Women. I have a theory! The final suit we see in the trailer looks slightly armoured. I think what we are seeing is the upgraded suit (red and black suit) with the last of the nano tech from the iron spider suit because Doc Ock (or more like the arm's a.i) integrates the rest of the nano-bots into his arms/tentacles

They're right that parody movies are dead. And yes, most of them are terrible. But I maintain that "Not Another Teen Movie" was and still is fantastic. Just rewatched it on Netflix a few weeks ago -- still hilarious.
Also, I don't agree that they've always been terrible when you consider that stuff like Airplane and The Naked Gun are still considered all-time classic comedies to this day. They do make a good point though about how the Internet has overtaken these movies in terms of the speed in which they can crank out a spoof so that it feels topical... but I'd argue that this itself is probably the primary reason why the parody genre fails so often nowadays.
For example, the main movie that Airplane spoofed was an obscure film from the 1950s called Zero Hour that most people had never even heard of. But the filmmakers were able to use that movie's basic premise as a framework on which to spoof the _tropes_ of the genre, and ultimately it's these recognisable tropes that are the specific element that's ripe for satire.
Because the alternative to that is simply saying, "Hey, remember when Britney Spears shaved her head? Remember how Paris Hilton always says That's hot? Remember Ironman? Willy Wonka? Borat?" and that's literally the joke.
