Hi. Thanks for uploading the video. We are going to Austria in a few days. Was wondering if you have the address of Antik Market (Salzburg) mentioned in your video?
I never expected a travel/thrifting video to make me cry, but I cried through most of this one. I spent a lot of my childhood in Germany and have memories of attending some of these same Christmas markets with my Tante and Oma. And taking that very long walk up to the castle (in the summer) with my dad, who referred to King Ludwig as “Crazy Louie.” This video had me longing for good German food, and family members who are no longer here. So many happy memories. Thank you for making this video. ❤
I grew up going to Weinachten markets every year from 72 to 96. Loved it. As an adult I bought my daughter hand blown ornaments for her hope chest. Now she has them on her tree.
My wife & I lived in Germany for 5 yrs. While the Christmas markets in the large cities are great, there are many others in smaller tows/cities that are more quaint and charming.
Oh. My. Goodness!!! Laura, this video was just breathtakingly beautiful! Thank you so much for taking those like myself along with you to a place that I would otherwise never get to see or appreciate! This video was just magical! I'll admit that for the last few weeks, I've been a bit depressed. But this video brought me joy, made me smile, and even got some of my Christmas spirit stirring! You are such a joy to watch, I have learned so much from your thrifting videos. I am so happy you were able to experience this trip and fulfill some of your dreams! Thank you again. Blessings from Kentucky.
🥹 Sending you a big hug!! ❤️ I honestly didn’t feel like I was along at that castle because I knew so many of you were there with me in spirit and I honestly couldn’t wait to share it with you! Thank you for choosing to join me ❤️ I hope that holiday cheer keeps growing this next few weeks 😘🎄 Happy Holidays! -Laura
I actually got teary-eyed from the scenery and the beautiful markets. The Christmas spirit is strong there. I love the architecture! We have nothing like it here in America. My ancestors are German, and I'd love to see Germany. I think in my next life I'd like be born in Germany or Austria.
It’s fantastic. I’m from Canada. We have a lot of snow here, but to watch you in Germany and Austria with the snow. Wow ! The Christmas market, the food, the people, the castle. Everything is fantastic. I wish you a wonderful holydays. Thanks Laura
This is absolutely, positively, no comparison, hands down, by far, my VERY FAVORITE video you have ever posted! I have spent time in Europe. But never over Xmas, and never in the snow! Stunning! Gorgeous!Breathtaking! I am green with envy. I'm so happy you enjoyed such a special unforgettable trip! Can't wait to see you back home here in the NW doing your thrifty thing!! Safe travels! ❌️⭕️
Wow, thank you so much!! I’m so happy because it was my favorite trip to film EVER! Loved every minute of capturing it to share with you 😄❤️ Happy Holidays!
Thank you Laura for this beautiful video. I am unable for various reasons to travel anymore but through your eyes I can see all that this tired old world is all about at its best. Your enthusiasm and joy for life is infectious and I hope to see more of this type of posting in due course. A million thanks for taking me along with you today! I loved every moment. xx
Loved seeing the Christmas markets! Excellent footage, editing, music selection, and really appreciate your narration and how you explain what's happening.

Thank you Laura for taking us along on your journey. My dad was born in Germany and always wanted to go there unfortunately could not afford it. This video brought me much joy. Happy Holiday to you and your family❤
Before opening Disneyland in 1955, Walt Disney and his wife took a trip to Europe and visited Neuschwanstein Castle. It was here that Disney received his inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Not Cinderella
I’m watching your video as me and my husband are pulling into Salzburg. We left Budapest earlier this morning. We’re currently on our last stop of a 10-day Christmas market tour of Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. Thanks for sharing this awesome video ❤
I’m with you Laura! I just got back from Paris & Strasbourg, with my daughters (early December). I’d much rather travel in the winter than in the heat!❄️☃️🎅🏻🇨🇦
Hi Laura, this was one of my favourite videos you've made. My family and I went to Copenhagen for the christmas market etc a few years ago but watching your video has inpsired me to go the Salzburg or Vienna next time, I'm thinking of Vienna it looks breathtaking.
I am so jealous! I wish I could travel like you. What beautiful things you have experienced. I'm (only) 56, but I am realizing that things I always thought I would do "someday" are just...well, thank goodness for your channel! Them you so much! ❤ Merry Christmas!
We lived in Germany growing up (early 70s) and many years we went on the train to Nurnberg for the Christkindlmarkt. Weinachten in Vienna meant going to see the Vienna Boys Choir singing traditional Weinachtslieder - so hauntingly beautiful! We never visited the Schlossneuschweinstein (yes we jokingly substituted schwein for schwan, lol) in winter - beautiful! Thanks so much for bringing back so many fond memories of the sights, sounds and smells, and of course all the great holiday foods.
German Xmas markets display a lot of handcrafted Xmas items. And quite many of them don’t even allow machine made, mass produced, products. That makes the German Xmas markets so special. My favourite one is in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
Thank you so much Laura, for taking us with you .I have never been abroad I’m 69 ,so this is amazing.Iv really enjoyed this vidio lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️❤️
That visit to the Bavarian castle was a special thrill to me. All my childhood, we had a picture of that beautiful castle on our wall. Budapest looked especially interesting. Swimming outdoors in the winter - awesome.
Es ist wunderbar, meine Heimat, aus Deinen Augen zu sehen... für uns ist vieles ganz normal und wird überhaupt nicht geachtet! Dankeschön dafür.. liebe Grüße aus Bayern
This video brought back memories. I did a tour of the Christmas Markets over 20 years ago. Christmas in Europe just feels magical. The sights, the smells...the food!!! When you go again try and find "Dampfnudel". They are a sweet yeast dough dumpling steamed in milk with sugar. The bottoms form this delicious browned crust while cooking. Typically served with vanilla sauce (like I saw on your Apple Strudel) and fruit. Delicious😋 You captured it all so beautifully. Felt like I was there again. Thanks for sharing your perspective of these beautiful places.
Laura, I loved this video! Every country you visited was beautiful 😍 i really enjoyed the way it looked so magical and all the Christmas decorations 🎄and the food looked so delicious! Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏼💕💕💕

Thank you Laura for some wonderful memories. I lived in Heidelberg for 3 years and loved the Christmas markets in Europe in particular. You are right that the smaller towns and villages have more hand-made, bespoke items. I also recommend Maastricht and Valkenburg in Holland and Prague. Magical to have the history of the ages combined with Christmas spirit and markets and food.
