Lol so everyone was afraid to shoot it so Scott volunteered to shoot it but Danger Bob said you can't fight the recoil on this so in the end the biggest thing was mental anticipation that was the hardest for them
That thing looks like a GIANT Ruger No. 1 rifle!! That thing is AWESOME!! Keep up the GREAT work gentlemen!! I love that shelf with all the different bullets and projectiles!!
@@MilitaryArmamentsCompany I'd love to start a collection like that, but guy's are asking an arm and a leg for some of those rounds!! For a 20mm Training round it can cost ya over $50.00.. Couldn't imagine getting into the BIG rounds! I'd love to see a 203mm Howitzer round or a 16 inch round from a battleship!
@@ryanmoeller3308 honestly collecting by just buying would definitely be Hella expensive. So my recommendation is to get in with people who do the stuff and see if you can trade some work or something like that for some of the stuff they have. Often times they are desensitized to it so you never know
@@ryanmoeller3308 unfortunately we don't really own any of the helicopter we have at Battlefield Vegas so it's not worth investing in however there are several museums we know of in Southern California that do work on airworthy stuff and do redo even just static displays. Next time you are in a museum ask to speak to the restoration team and see if there are looking for some work and after you get in see if you can trade your services for something they have lying around. However feel free to stop in Battlefield Vegas and give us a shout. We have a little roped off area but just mention you follow the channel and then mention this and at minimum we can show you the shop
Not sure if it needs clarification, but, when Danger Bob was explaining how shotgun gauge bores where measured, the metal used was lead. So, 1 lbs of lead, made into 12 exactly equal spheres and the diameter of each would be .729 inches.
That would be awesome but unfortunately unless our channel grows enough to make enough money to buy ballistic gell or someone who does make it sponsors us. We won't be able to afford to do anything like that regularly
Haha attention to detail, i like it Well you heard Ruger bark in the background? That dog is responsible for seval ball hits leading towards that shelf and his stupid ass ploughing into it.
Yeah, I think I'd pass on that one. For one, it would probably break me. Two, in the process of breaking me, I'd be scared to death having no idea where that mach 2 bowling ball of a projectile was going to end up landing. Don't get me wrong, it's very cool. I'm just not a very large person. Dislocated shoulders and broken collar bones aren't real high on my list of things I like to have. Lol. Anyway, very cool stuff guys.
Lol at least you can be realistic about it. Alot of people will be like, pfft I could handle that and when you hand them the rifle they back out with some sort of excuse
It is only logical that the company also discuss small-arms because tank cannons and small-arms are just two aspects of the same family of technology involving the projection of projectiles some distance to achieve an effect. In short, small arms and tank guns both shoot stuff, and that is good enough reason to talk about them!
I would love to have a chance at shooting a 4 bore. The biggest thing I've ever shot is a Ruger Number One Tropical I bought chambered in 450-400 Nitro express. Unfortunately it still has not scratched the itch for more recoil I desire. I would happily shoot a 4 bore loaded with a full charge. Maybe I'll regret it afterwards, but it would be totally worth it. Such an insane piece of history and firepower. I've always had a fascination with big bore firearms even as a little boy. Somewhere in the lore of firearms I occasionally heard something about an elephant gun or rifle. I never seen one at the time. Being a kid on the rare occasion when I would hear those 2 words "elephant gun" I would always envision this massive double barrel rifle shooting absurdly large bullets. Never really knowing that's what they actually was and looked like. Never seeing an example of an elephant gun, being a kid with a fascination of big guns for a time I thought an elephant gun was what I know now to be a blunderbuss. Lol! Come to find out an elephant gun is exactly what I've always envision an "elephant gun" to be and to look like. A massive double barrel rifle shooting gigantic lead projectiles. Although this is a single barrel rifle it is still very cool. Thanks for sharing!
If you visit large machine gun shoots like Big Sandy you can often see firearms like that displayed and shot there....and if you are lucky they might even let you shoot one. You are right though, they are an unique and incredible piece of not only history but engineering as well
I thought the 4 bore was designed just for the Honey Badger since it can show up any where and they needed an artillery package ready to protect the elephant. The photograph of the dead elephant has a honey badger in front it is missing part if the animal but the hyde is still visable. The news put all these images of people killing elephants when everyone loves them and respects the Honey Badger until it becomes an issue. It is easier to get one shot on target than 40 shots on a honey badger.
Good Grief ... I would Shatter trying to fire off one of these beasts .... At best i would be thrown back a few feet and worst my rib cage would go behind me along with my arm ... Awesome Firearm mate. Cheers .

The slow motion showed how well you "managed" the recoil Scott 😜. Awesome video. Can't wait to see more.

Another awesome video from you guys, thanks and keep them coming.
Thanks man! We appreciate the feedback

I appreciate you commenting that! Useful information
Yea you catch those things after you have filmed. Had a few other things I missed as well. Thanks for the clarification
Great knowledge is always accepted
*to anyone who knows the Tremors movies* Can this beast kill Graboids?
Yes!!! Remember the elephant rifle well I think this is bigger by alot lol
This is a small cannon, this will pulverize a graboid!
This is an excellent graboid weapon!
Duh ya
😂😂😂 yes it can
Excellent
A 4 bore Rewa. There's a video of John hunting tuskers with his 4 bore double on RUclips.
Why are 4 bore rounds shaped like dome pistol rounds rather than cone rifle rounds?
3:40 The most well known bark of its time
The dog had to make absolutely sure we all knew he was there.
That would definitely considered a "Stopping Rifle"!.... What a Beast!...... It kind of resembles a Ruger #1 Rifle..... Nice Piece!... Big $$$.....
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
where can we buy one? and ammo? the cost??
So best thing is to keep an eye out on Estate sales or with people who often broker stuff like that, like Hamilton and Sons Firearms out of Arizona
Would've loved to see what this behemoth does with a ballistic gel block.

any idea on the maker of the action?
This looks like a gun straight out of a cartoon
HA it basically could be.
It is bigger than the 950 JDJ?
The 4 bore is bigger, but the 950 has slightly more power.
Yessss
Definitely YES
What does something like that cost? How much per round?
It can vary, but with those custom made shells it definitely goes up in price.

6:00 you said you have never seen a shoulder mount firearm that works like this. This gun is just a scaled up ruger number 1.
We just had a look good spot. This design does however far predate Ruger No:1
How much is one round? $20?
Depending on how you source and load anywhere between $12 to $20. Getting those brass cases made however would be your standard machinist hourly fee.

How on earth did you manage to get wind noise, while shooting INSIDE ? 10:00 Then when you're outside, there is no wind noise.
Apologies for the noise issues on this one, this opportunity to film came up last minute when we weren't equipped with our normal camera equipment.

I can tell you some big channels have plans for Bobs Four Bore very soon.
so this must be the shotgun Brandon wants us to use?
