- This is where my Warriors journey began! As the longtime P.A. Announcer for the Seattle Sonics & Storm, I was invited to call the 2018 Kings vs. Warriors pre-season game at Seattle's Key Arena. Months later I was hired as the Golden State Warriors P.A. Announcer at the brand new Chase Center in San Francisco!
Key Arena was electric for the first NBA game in Seattle since the Sonics left in 2008. Kevin Durant was a rookie for the Sonics in 2008. Ten years later he was back with the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors. It was love all around!

@@wilderac2250 yeah. Anyone who lives in the Bay Area knows Oakland and SF are just a stone's throw apart. Shouldn't take you more than 2hrs at worst with traffic to make the trip from one to the other.
It's why the Raiders and Niners Battle of the Bay rivalry was so huge because you had 2 teams occupying the same area.

Golden State went on to have the legacy because they did exactly that: pay the luxury. You might be able to say that about KD, but still... No ball. And Seattle is still teamless. Thunder Up!
