Albert Monteys is known cartoonist in Spain, worked for decades in a popular satirical magazine . Apparently also a big boardgame buff :) Nice to see him illustrating and getting recognized overseas!
My impressions align with Chris. Resist is excellent and the theme appeals to me more. I don't feel I need to own both so I passed on Witchcraft even though the mechanical changes sounded interesting. It would be cool if they came out with a small expansion for Resist that somehow added in these mechanical improvements
I wanted to like Resist! more, but found the game arc where you get continually weaker kind of unsatisfying. I assume this one has the same feel? (Also, just realized the artist did the Slaughterhouse-Five graphic novel - cool!)
Good point. Resist! Felt dry and procedural and just adding up power with no randomness to eek out a surprise victory sort of felt bad. I hear drafting improves both games…

I got it yesterday and have played 4 games. I can confirm it is great 👍
Jurors in a village... so: Rural Jurors? 😄
Rurrrr jurrr?
Try saying that ten times fast (I couldn’t 😂)
@@donaldshults8957 @VoidVerification - a quote from my fav show on a review from my fav gaming channel. #daymade Thank you !!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Steve Holt!
Brilliant. Thanks so much, gents!
I can’t wait for this to arrive! Seems like an excellent follow up.
Super glad I bought it🎉 It jumped now to the top of my pile of happiness 😂

I agree. The uncertainty around the score/win condition would be a great addition to Resist

You gotta read Albert Montey’s graphic novel adaptation of Slaughterhouse 5. It’s so beautiful.
If two witches had two wishes, which witch wished which wish? When those two witches met in Wichita, which went by raft, and which went by witchcraft?
Got this about a month ago, but have only had time to play it once. Loved it though
OMG a 9 from Zee is high! Not easy to get a 9. He is a good judge. Nothing is perfect. I usually agree with Zee too
So.....how do I get it?
It's an absolutely phenomenal game and I muuuuch prefer this one over the first one
Zee, I’m with you regarding the villagers. I house rule it so 3 villager cards is a game ender, regardless of the number printed on the card.
I just leave the 3 out. That works as well
Chris Yi was about to do a things with his hands (maybe we can call it a Kovray thing), but then decided against it ;)
Aaand all it had to do to be good was not be a solo game
Has this actually been delivered already? Still haven't gotten my copy.
Mine arrived last month - in the UK here
I have not received mine in the US.. Hopefully soon.
@TheAmazingYeti they usually send the first produced copies to reviewers
@@codydavis3100 I am aware of that, thanks.
Have not received mine yet (in the US).
Too bad you can’t buy this *anywhere*.
it looks like one of those solo games that i have to be standing up to play :(
It really isn't.
Agreed. Just too much setup and needing too much table space. Especially for a solo game.
Would be more interested if there was a video game variant.
Modern day witches: Witchcraft is real and we can manifest changes in reality. Also modern day witches: It was wrong to prosecute witches in the past.
