It's been a perfect storm of problems for the last ~9 months, we moved welding facilities, had some broken / bent tooling problems, quality issues with a new tube supplier, then finally shopping for a different supplier, then material delays but we are currently in production on our axle backs finally! We should expect them to start hitting the shelves in the next couple of weeks.
WRX or STI? My 2020 STI has a big resonator on the stock mid-pipe (2019 - 2020 STI has a different catback than 2015 -2018), but I also have a grimmspeed downpipe, so my car is slightly louder compared to if everything's stock. I think it's loud during cold starts, but when it gets warm it's actually not that bad. During cruise on 3k RPM on the freeway i can hear my radio and have a conversation. If you have a WRX it might be louder since the WRX doesn't have a resonator on the midpipe. Obviously if you have a aftermarket J-Pipe (unless you have the cobb resonated j-pipe) it'll be even louder. Hope that helps
Simply check (and possibly tighten) all hardware with a torque wrench after a few heat cycles. There is potential for them to be loose as gaskets and hardware settle with the heat cycles, so it's recommended to do this after installing the first time.
It's fairly common for the expanded side to be slightly out of round after moving around during shipping and the first time tightening may require a little more force to move to true the pipes to each other. Going slow with a hand wrench is the best method to do so. If you're having trouble or suspect a defective part, feel free to email us!
@@factionfab5834 I got it on after I used a deep socket with a impact drive. Appreciate the feedback. Hopefully if anyone else runs into this problem they see this. May have overlooked it, but I would note having a deep socket makes things much easier.
I installed the polished tip exhaust on my 19 WRX and noticed that the left side sits lower. Any recommendations on how to raise it? Another YT video that did a review of it had a user comment noted the same thing. They remedied it by purchasing a Grimmspeed rubber hanger.
This can be controlled by manipulating the hanger while the flange is tightened. We usually recommend having a 2nd person hold the exhaust in place (you can overcompensate and hold it higher than desired location) then just loosen the flange bolts and retorque.
where are you guys located out of? I couldn't find anything on your (sparse) webpage that indicates where you are located, let alone any contact information. I'd love to see at 5"-7" oval/square tip to fill out the exhaust openings vs the twin tip design. Sure, the twin tips are factory look, but I think squished circles would help separate your tips from other similar branded products.
We have a full new website launching very soon with much more info! And we are always looking for new products to add to our lineup, but the biggest factors determining it are the demand for the product. We'll do some research on different tip styles and see if it is something we can add!
Bought one and I love it😍. Not too loud to bother the neighbor but loud enough to enjoy the daily driving.
Perfect for what we were aiming for! Glad you're enjoying it!
Y’all make 4 inch tips
Not for these models. Our BRZ / FR-S / 86 catback has single 4" tips, but they are not cross compatible.
Just bought one for my 2020 STI, can’t wait for it to arrive !
Just bought it at Wicked Big Meet! I’m so looking forward to installing it this weekend!
Big fan but y’all production time isn’t that well. Been waiting almost 5 months for mine to even come in…production gotta get going👏

How loud is this? Is it so loud that it will annoy neighbors?

Big fan of my axleback on the 2020 STi! Love the burnt tip look! Got a before and after on my channel.
So the clamp isn't tighten the tip whatsoever.

What is the gasket size/ type. I never received the gaskets when purchased from subiespeed
Shoot us an email at sales@factionfab.com and I can get a hardware kit sent out with included gaskets!
Should these be heat cycled and the clamps be re-tightened?
Yes that is a great idea.
Whats the size on the piping for the wrx?
These pieces are made with 2.5" piping. To clarify, these will still flow even with a 3" downpipe or j-pipe due to the split axle back design.
