Thank you for watching!
You’re video are amazing, thanks ❤
Superbly done, very helpful and informative, thank you
Thank you very much for your comment. Have a great day!
Fantastic! Thank you so much. You made it absolutely easy to follow! Great work and thanks!
Very impressive and multi talented! I'm very interested in your results with a zero retention grinder - as I have noticed some inconsistencies with my Touch grinder - doses can vary quite a bit as can brew ratios between consecutive shots. Keep up the great videos. Best wishes from Australia.
Thank you very much!
Hi thanks for this video. I usually wash the conical burrs part with water/mild dish soap but I see you’ve just used a brush. Is it a problem to use water/dish soap for this part? Thanks
While it may be fine, I would not recommend using excess moisture on the burrs. The burrs on the Oracle and Oracle Touch are not coated and therefore could actually rust. The chances of rust are probably low, but I wouldn't take the chance.
If you google "ginder burrs rust" in google images, you can see examples of different burrs rusting. High end grinders that require water spritzing to minimize static outfit their machine with titanium coated burrs to avoid rusting issues. I hope this helps!
Thanks for these videos! Is there a reason i shouldn't just run the conical burr (or the tamp fan) under the tap to clean it?
I've never tried that, but it seems like a more efficient way to clean them. I've heard of steel burrs in other grinders rusting from people using Ross Droplet Technique (RDT), so I imagine that moisture isn't good for the burrs. I would say to dry the burrs quickly and thoroughly to avoid issues. The tamp fan should be fine.
1st grind after cleaned, you will “loss 3g”. It is to fill up the empty area at the lower burr...😜
For my case, I remove the lower burr and clean up the entire area.
How about the bottom part
Can you run a cap full of Grindz through a grind cycle to clean out the bottom burrs and pathways? The vacuum everything.
Grindz is generally accepted as being safe for any grinder. I don't see any significant issues about using Grindz in the Oracle Touch conical burrs, but I've never tried it, so I can't speak from experience. The manual doesn't say anything about using such products either. If you try, can you post a follow up on your experience with Grindz? Thank you and have a great day!
After I do the similar grinder cleaning like you see on the video I also run the full lid of grindz and the results are perfect ! I still have the original set of burrs on my Oracle touch and after about 15 cofees a day and 3 years of ownership they are still doing great.
@@popovic5463 That's a great recommendation. I may try this as well. Thank you!
How often should I be doing this?
The manual doesn't specify an interval. Personally, I do it once a month. There are more recommendations in this video: ruclips.net/video/HBLLIQT0JWY/видео.html. There is also a free downloadable checklist at coffeewiser.com/articles/. I hope this helps!
Thank you!
You are most welcome!
What number do you use here?
The conical burr setting is on 6 and my grind setting are usually around 20 to 22, but it will be different for every machine.
Dude, nice video but you could have done in two minutes what took you 8 1/2 minutes to do. Plus you didn’t even show the order of putting the washers back in place.
