Sparkling Light by Howard Levy

To welcome 2022, I decided to do an improvised composition hoping for brighter days. I improvised the piano part from images in my mind- the melting of a frozen lake and the start of Spring. Then I wrote out a chord chart and overdubbed my harmonica part, also improvised.

Excellent really enjoyed this. After listening to the composition for some reason my mind gravitated to Gerry Mulligans Night lights album. I think it was Art farmers trumpet sound coming out of your harmonica in my head in that moment, and Gerry's Bari also. a track called' 'in the wee small hours' Your harp sound must have centered right in the ball park because you started on piano and I walked away from my screen when you began playing harp, so just for a short while those instruments were impressed upon me as you played. Great composition
