You've probably figured this out now since it's been a couple months, but the factory default for regenerative braking in ECO mode is level 2, if I remember. Left and right paddles allow you to, for the current drive, increase or decrease (respectively) the amount of regen braking. You can change the default settings to your preference in the EV menu. Also, holding down the left paddle will bring the car to a complete stop with regen braking only. This can give you more juice back in your battery and save wear on your friction brakes, but takes a lot of practice to get the distances down, and is something I don't advise doing in traffic.
Congrats on the new car! I just got a VW ID.4 about a month ago, and I absolutely love it! The outside of it looks a lot like yours does, with some differences, of course. You're going to love being gas free.
Thanks for the video. I am considering switching from KIA Optima S to a KIA Niro EV in 2022. Your video is the best exposition of the car that I have seen so far.
And to be honest this one is the easiest to use out of all the electric cars that I tried. The electric car companies have done some funky things on some of the other ones
Sweet! I had the 2018 hybrid niro, great car. Was going to lease another one but found a great deal on a k5, definitely planning to go back to niro again once my lease is up though, I miss it lol.
I'm gonna drive one of these again and see if I an get comfortable. We're also looking at an ID.4. We're usually frugal, and the deals on these right now are pretty crazy. The ID.4 is definitely bigger and more comfortable. My wife was fine with the Niro, but I had a really hard time finding a good seating position (and I'm very average in size).

Congratulation with your new ev and welcome to the ev's world too. I own right now a 2021 chevy bolt ev but I am considering to switch to a Hyundai kona electric or Kia e-niro wich I love them. can you make a video reviewing in full details about rhe infotainment system? it would be awesome to watch all the options available and configuration. Thanks.
Ok a side note, we own a Sorento and absolutely love how much bells and whistles even the base model came with. I'm a big fan of Kia, great car for great value
I have the a nitro too you press the paddle shift twice and you will see a little battery icon the luv.2 when you press the right paddle shift until it says level zero when it’s zero it feels like a normal car
The $7500 Federal is not a rebate, it is a tax credit and that is the maximum amount you can receive and it is based on how much you owe in Federal taxes. If you owe less that 7500, you only get that amount. If you owe zero Federal Taxes, you get zero credit. And it is only allowed for the tax year you purchased the vehicle- there is no carry over. That $1500 Clean Fuel Rebate in California is a point-of-sale discount. Tesla is signed up for that program. For all other brands, it is dependent on the dealership that has to sign up. For example, there are 5 Kia dealerships within 50 miles of me (Central Valley, CA) and all of them sell EVs, but only 2 of them have signed up for the Clean Fuel Rebate program.
Smart leasing it this way any bugs down the road you can get rid of it The lease would be up before you needed a new 20,000 battery Just get a new one 53 hrs to completely charge it wow I didn't think it would take that long I would think charging overnight would do it

It actually drives exactly the same as any other car don't be turned off by that. And to be honest one of the reasons I wanted an electric car is so I could do videos on it 🙏🙏
Wow that's really nice and I can tell it drove smooth as soon as you started driving. I test drove a few Tesla's but I don't want there cars it's too basic on the inside and really costly. I love your new car it's really nice
Nice car i have a 2020 the only gripes i have is the annoying backup beep snd that silver strip along the lower portion of dash is brutally reflective snd dangerous when the sun huts it, but otherwise awesome car
phew I was just thinking I should have gotten the premium; I would have thought that would have auto lift gate, what a bummer. U should do a video on the paddle braking, 3 levels of braking; auto cruise etc...; can't beat a lease of $2K down @ $200mnth vs Tesla $4,500 down, 36 months, 10,000 miles $635mnth without FSD; what an insane difference. For those debating on Kona vs Niro, choose the roomier Niro, u wont regret it.
how much did your lease come out to and with what lease configuration? KIA website advertises 12K + rebate on a lease. Also what kind of dealership discount could you get if any? Thanks in advance.
Guessing in the UK this’d be ‘3’ or ‘4’ spec? Not much not to like with the Kia e-Niro is there? If I get one next year, which I’m now looking into, this will certainly be the car!
Appreciate your review but your math is a little off at 13:20. The Niro EV averages about 4 miles per kw, so it would go about 40 miles not 80 to 100 miles on 10 kw. 59 cents per kw , ouch! I'm in Ky, we have cheap electric (for now) at about 12 cents per kw. I try to charge at home if possible.
Great car. Tesla's Super Charger network is their one of many advantages. The rest will suffer in a long run because the long distance travel is much harder to do. For 'normal' daily driver this KIA is great.

Don't. A hybrid is not the best of both worlds, it's a little of each. Two engines, connected together, where something can go wrong. Short electric range, and a heavy car that consumes a lot of gas.

Good question bro. I'm sold on electric vehicles, especially after getting a ride in a Tesla. What a torque monster. 👍
A level 2 charger is a must if you want to own an EV. The cost of installing one will pay for itself in gas savings within a year or so.
what about paying off the 25k premium for ev
