This is actually a really good idea. You should switch up your routine between seasons. As you already know. Maybe I should try the foaming this summer, too.
I'm combination skin too. I suggest you wear light moisturizer on your T zone or serum. And on the U zone use thick moisturizer since it's dry. Second option is use cream that is for all skin types/ sensitive.
Just use cerave moisturiser it’s non-comedogenic if you have combo acne prone skin. Or use light moisturiser on your forehead, nose and chin. Use thick moisturiser that’s non comedogenic on your cheeks. However use the hydrating cleanser in the winter and foaming one in the summer. That’s what works for combination skin types cause that’s mine. Hopefully this helps as winter your skin more dry but summer more oily.
I also have oily t zone, acne prone on the cheeks and little dry on the jaw. The best mosturizer that ive used till now is The Ordinary natural mosturizing factors+HA, i put it on damped face and it is amazing
Foaming cleansers are only for true oily skins. They will leave a dry film on your skin and give you lots of surface dryness. From my observation I can see the foaming one left you with “false wrinkles” which aren’t really wrinkles, it is just dehydration (like dehydrated fruit). Anything that foams is just havoc for the skin. You want a cleanser that will leave your skin soft and supple for maximum product absorption. Just some esthetician advice :)
I've noticed the same. So even though Shundara recommends the foaming one, I don't think I can bring myself to buy it because of my experience with foaming cleansers. I even had one that made my skin irritated and hot.
Since you are an actualy esthetician could you help me pick one of the products? I have normal skin with the t zone frequently oily and my skin is sensitive. Should i buy the foaming or hydrating one?
As Shundara mentioned the hyaluronic acid (HA) is listed higher on the ingredients list for the moisturizing cleanser, which indicates there is more HA in that product. That cleanser also has another standout humectant, Glycerin, as its second ingredient. As we also know, she lives in the desert, which indicates that the humidity in the air is low. This is a classic example of why hyaluronic acid, the humectant of the moment, is not always skin's best friend. The HA could be pulling moisture from the skin because there is so little moisture in the air. In a more realistic skin care regime you could immediately follow with hydrating layers of well formulated toner, essence, ampule, chemical exfoliant, serum, moisturizer and sun protection for the day. The combination of these two powerhouse humectants could be too much for combination skin in the desert environment. Although it would really depend on the rest of her skin care routine to say for sure. (Tip: Humidify your space to reap the benefits of powerful humectants like HA and glycerine.)
Normal to oily skin here, the foaming cleanser felt better at first, but over time it dried my skin, even thought I have oily skin. My acne came back so I started using benzoyl peroxide again. The first days of that combined with the foaming cleanser really wrecked havoc on my skin and rather than improve breakouts it made them worse. Currently just using the hydrating cleanser and that along with benzoyl peroxide seems to be doing the job. My take is that the foaming cleanser is too drying if you are using anything else that may dry your skin. I may try to reintroduce it later once I have a few more weeks in benzoyl peroxide, but after trying it several times it eventually leaves my skin tight and slightly dry.
I've been using benzoyl peroxide for almost 2 weeks now and I've been wondering which CeraVe cleanser I should get, I wanted to get the foaming one but your comment is making me have second thoughts..if I use a moisturizer after I wash my face and apply benzoyl peroxide, would you still recommend the hydrating cleanser? (I have dry and sensitive skin)
oh my god thank u so much for this 😩🙏🏻 I've been trying to find a cleanser that works well with my benzoyl peroxide treatment. I've decided I'm gonna buy the hydrating one!!
Hi great review. I also use benzo peroxide was wondering which one u use and so u use it everyday ? Thanks I use the acne dot org one. I mix a. It into my moisturizer at night Monday through Friday. I also use lactic acid from the ordinary , adapaline ,benzo and squalane oil at night. I know it’s a lot but it’s been helping with my breakouts.
@@148Jesse ive tried to like the facial foaming cleanser but it gave me very tiny pimples or red spots that kinda irritated my skin and made my pores bigger, i gave it a week and still the same. ive tried the hydrating cleanser on day one and massive improvements, pores were smaller, felt more soft and plump on my skin and just overall felt and looked better on my skin. u just gotta try stuff out, usully from day one u can notice a difference, but i try to give it a week before i ditch a product
I used the foaming one and it dried my skin out every time i used it then over time i got dry patches on my cheeks and forehead. im not sure if i should try the hydrating or look for a different cleanser all together.
I’m so glad you did this, I have dry skin and I love cerave products but the hydrating cleanser just doesn’t do it for me. I totally agree. My personal favorite is Krave matcha hemp hydrating cleanser.. it’s $16 but will not disappoint
I love the hydrating one! I have combination skin and at first I felt like my skin wasn't getting clean but after I got used to it not foaming and my skin loves me. I actually get less break outs because my face isn't over producing oil to replace what gets stripped off by the foaming cleanser. I had to use it for a couple of weeks before I loved it though. My daughter prefers the foaming cleanser though. She has very sensitive combination skin. She's 18 and I am 47 and at her age I would of preferred the foaming cleanser.
Love your honest opinion! The hydrating one works best for me, the less I do to my skin the better it is...so the slippery texture prevents the friction of cleansing that irritates my skin...
Thanks for the combo skin review. Love cerave and was curious about the difference between these two. I've always used the cerave foaming and LOVE it. The foaming one is best because it removes sunscreen and makeup too.
If you double cleanser, the Hydrating one is perfect. Oil will dissolve oil. So it's best for combo to go with an oil cleanser then follow with a water base cleanser like the CeraVe ones. I have true combo skin most of the year and since I moved to double cleanser it's been pretty balanced. In the morning, I only use the hydrating one.
Ive used both. The foaming one feels better when you use it (probably becase of the thick foam) but longterm the hydrating one is just better for my skin. You still have to use a moisturizer afterwards obviously.
I have normal skin and I never find things that are for me and for me only, they always say “from normal to oily/dry” but never really make anything for normal skin, therefore I always take combination skin products and hope for the best (since they’re not extremely drying not too hydrating) thank u for the review it really helped me🥺🥺
I blindly bought the hydrating one as I wanted a gentle facial cleanser for my post E-matrix treatment. For someone who has a very oily skin and had tried many gentle cleaners in the past when I had some sort of acne treatments and they broke me out, I was surprised that it hasn’t caused me zits so far and, in fact, it gives me glowing kinda effects. Now I have been intrigued about the foaming one. Not sure if I should stick to the hydrating one or give the foaming one a try.
Yes I feel like it’s applying lotion to my skin with the hydrating one and I don’t feel like it cleanses my skin well . I have normal skin. I tried the foaming cleanser and I noticed my skin was poreless squeaky clean, but then extremely clear like it cleared any excess junk off my skin . Unclogged pores. Reminded me of using a clarifying shampoo once a week or once a months and the hair is clean? Well that’s how I felt about the foaming cleaner and I noticed my skin care products seeped into my skin and I was glowing afterwards.
Saja 09 I’ve heard the hydrating cleanser breaks out a lot of people I’m so scared to try it. I think I am just going to rinse with water in the morning tone moisturizer and spf. For pm I’ll use the cerave foaming one. I have very sensitive skin and I break out for anything
I've done some research about the ingredients of both cleansers 😎👩🏫🏫. The foaming cleanser has LOW-WEIGHTED HA so that these molecules can travel down to deeper layers of the skin, giving our girl that bouncy, plumpy feeling on her skin💦🚿💧. Meanwhile, the hydrating one has the ORIGINAL HA, which means they will sit on the skin and hydrate the very top surface. Since people with dry skin type tend to have flaky skin, the original HA and its ability to hydrate that flaky area on the top layer are the best choice. 👌🧖♀️💅
Hydrating fan here. I've tried both i have combination skin but tends to be more on the dry side depending on day. I found the foaming one dried my skin out too much and it felt too tight and itchy unless I drenched it in moisturizer which can cause breakouts on me. The hydrating one leaves my skin feeling perfect. I still ad a very light dab of lotion after (it is a cleanser afterall) but it doesn't leave me feeling like I just walked through a desert lol. Also your face and skin looks way better with the hydrating side! Just add a little dab of moisture after!
i honestly feel that the hydrating cleanser does not clean my skin at all, it might just be an impression, but i prefer other cleansers like the bioderma gel moussant one
"And here is my other chin." Lmao. Honestly, I didn't really see a visible difference between the two sides. But I'd have to test it myself to even see if I'd like it. 😂
The hydrate one make her face quite dry that strip her face put of natural oil, while the foaming cleanser make her face looks moisturizing and hydrating.
I know it’s supposed to be really gentle, but for some reason the Hydrating Cleanser made my face itchy and break out a little. I think I have combo skin as well. I wanted to try the foaming one to see if it would be better, so maybe I will :)
I have very dry skin and acne I use the hydrating cleaner it makes my face brighter and soft it also making my acne go away but I don’t know if I should get the foaming cleanser
If I can help a little. The foam is stripping your face and it feels like its soft for a few minutes but you must but some moisturizer. The non foam leaves a thin film that will hydrate your face and also must use moisturizer. I will say the foam cleanser has one better ingredient that will help clean deep inside your pores. I use both I switch back and forth through out the week.
A guy with combination skin (normal + oily T-zone) here. I have acne prone skin and i have bought and used Foaming Facial Cleanser, Renewing SA cleanser and Acne Foaming Face Cleanser (4% benzoyl peroxide). My experience so far has been the best with Acne Foaming Facial Cleanser. It handles all acne stuff and leaves my skin soft. I don't even use moisturizer often while using it. The Renewing SA cleanser doesn't take care of acne as well but its leaves the skin clean and smooth. I do not like how it smells all chemical-ly tho. This one should be paired with a moisturizer generally otherwise using only the cleanser may leave the skin feeling dry after some uses. As for the foaming facial cleanser, it doesn't really do much for me besides cleaning. My T-zone gets oily after a few hours again so idk if its even working. I have not tried the hydrating cleanser yet, so if anyone can share experience regarding it for me, that would be helpful.
Thanks for this awesome review 😊 love most cervae products! I completely agree with you girl. After using the cervae hydrating cleanser for a few months I realized it didn’t remove my makeup well and I was getting more breakouts, just got the foaming one two days ago and THE DIFFERENCE!!!! Lol 😂 😂😂
The hydrating cleanser is not meant to remove make either the foaming cleanser. They’re just cleanser when you wear make up you NEED to DOUBLE CLEANSE a must. Get a remover balm I got the FARMACY Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm perfect for removing make up, then I go in w my foaming cleanser I have combo prone skin no if’s or but’s about double cleansing. Hope this helps
It got tighter because you have combination skin. I have truly oil skin and it’s the only thing that works for me. I use it and moisturize with Vitamin E oil. I love the Foaming Cleanser.
I just spent $14 on the ceraVE Hydrating cleanser and I super regret it. I should’ve just bought my usual burtsbees cream cleanser. My skin is dry and dull, not soft. I didn’t even felt like It cleaned anything. Waste of money
The hydrating side looks better to me. The hydrating cleanser is still a cleanser, not a moisturizer. It’s means to cleanse without over stripping, that’s why u follow up with a good moisturizer
I've used the hydrating cleanser on my dry skin and I don't feel like it's that hydrating and it is definitely not good at removing makeup. It's just ok. I may need need try the foaming facial cleanser
New at your channel I love CeraVe Foaming cleanser it worked with my oily skin plus I got a Lit Scrubbies, Where was this when I was a teenager in the 1990s
@@rileystonepowers3482 ive been using it 2 days n its braking me out so I want to get the foaming cleanser. But now I'm thinking about trying it for a whole week to see if my skin adjusts idk what to do 😫 i don't wanna have acne. But cerave is a great option its cheap compared to my other cleanser (youth to the people ) I use . Idk 🤔
Missha first treatment essence is great I heard. Im going to try it. Company is Korean. Sis, check out the 10 step Korean skin care regime. You will find new things to use and a new way to get great skincare results.
I love you, sis! You are so positive and solar! I have combined skin, I use the CeraVe Foam Cleansing but I feel it dries a little bit. I will buy the other one! Wish u a wonderful day!
I have heard some peeps use the foaming for a body wash (PH level is great) and the hydrating for face. I am going to try both. I have dry skin and yeah aging is something cannot get away from. Love your videos!
I have combination skin and went ROGUE on any semblance of a routine like 2 months ago. My skin had acne and some severely dry spots, all around dehydrated. A legit mess.. flaking, my makeup wouldn't stay on, pores huge. Awful. For 1 week I used the ceraVe hydrating facial cleanser and Sephora's night cream both night and day, daytime I used cc cream with SPF as well. I also used jojoba oil to remove makeup. This totally jolted my skin back to a hydrated place, but I started to feel kind of like...gunky? I decided to try the foaming facial cleanser at night and start using the ceraVe daily moisturizing lotion in the morning. I also added a toner. O.M.G I honestly think this is the ticket for my skin. Morning: CeraVe Hydrating facial cleanser Thayers alcohol free toner CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion CC cream with SPF Night: Jojoba oil for makeup removal Cerave Foaming cleanser Thayers alcohol free toner Sephora firming night cream
Jennifer C hi Jennifer I have dehydrated and combo skin and I really want to try cerave but do you think I should buy both the foaming and hydrating cleanser in the small bottle to try , I do get a lot of dry patches and I think maybe I should try what you do and alternate between both 😫😊
I have combo skin but like more oily side and Im using foaming one with moisturing lotion of Cerave afterwards. Oily face needs to be clean nicely its the purpose of every facewash 🧼 So hydrating ones will be better for dry one combo ( if this make sense ) 😅 .
I had severe acne last summer and I tried literally everything African soaps home remedies dr.bronners, kiehl products,...the last thing I tried was cerave hydrating cleanser cleared all of it only thing I suffer from is hyperpigmentation and I’m afraid to use anything for it
I’m currently on the fence on whether I want to get a CeraVe cleanser on not, I’ve been using cetaphil but it hasn’t done anything for my skin. I have moderate acne and combo skin, Ijust don’t want to break out really bad if I switch to CeraVe.
I would suggest maybe putting the moisturize cleanser on the dry patches or anything moisturizing like almond oil . And the other cleanser on the rest of the face 🤗
Hi Shundara! I really liked the hydrating cleanser. I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago. I alternate back and forth between the my Dermalogica Ultra Calming cleanser and CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. I have to say I love the Dermalogica but if I want to save some money CeraVe is a great option.
I use the hydrating cleanser you are using way to much on the one side of your face you dont need as much Im combo skin and the hydrating cleanser has been a godsend for me my skin has never looked this good my skin looked so bad 7 months ago and a couple days ago a woman asked how old I am I told her 29 she didnt believe me she thought i was 25 so did the woman beside her:) if you really want to see a good combo use this then a slightly scrubby pad ( body shop has one ) scrub it in then use a vitamin e cream cleanser its healed some scars and little marks I had its amazing (buy the body shop again with this ) then use a tea tree toner again body shop has a good one then I use the cerave spf moisturizer :)
hi! will the hydrating cleanser still help with odd breakouts? i have combination skin and i don’t have acne but my skin breaks out some times and i’m still unsure which cleanser to go for!
Naioma Lopes De Sa has the foaming cleanser helped get rid of your acne? Have u seen any improvements? Did ur acne scars fade? Please let me know because i am so confused idk which cleanser to buy.
Combination skin people... i feel you 😩

Yep we're in the middle....you know the middle child just get in where they fit in!

I thought the same but I'm just wondering hoe they feel differently lol.
It usually is for combo
Oh thank god cuz I already bought that one
I have dry skin, the hydrating cleanser is good in the fall/winter. The foaming cleanser is good in the spring/summer. Lol. Yes. Im extra 💁🏾♀️💁🏾♀️

I came to this video because I'm combo and when you made that shoutout, I started clapping like YES damn where are the products for combo skin?!
Get a remover balm I got the FARMACY
Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm perfect for removing make up, then I go in w my foaming cleanser I have combo prone skin no if’s or but’s about double cleansing.
Same! I was using the burtsbees cream cleanser but decided to try the CeraVe Hydrating cleanser but it dries me out. SN: I have oily skin
The foaming is so much better the other is waxy and leaves a weird residue on your skin. Makes me break out worse. Definitely go with foaming
I may need need try the foaming facial cleanser
yes it’s hard for us combo people!! 😂
Love the hydrating cleanser.
Finally someone said it!!! I want something in between these two haha
I need help, my skin is combination skin and i have a little bit acne in my forehead, which clanser i should use?? And my skin is sensitive
The SA cleanser
New at your channel I love CeraVe Foaming cleanser it worked with my oily skin plus I got a Lit Scrubbies, Where was this when I was a teenager in the 1990s
For some reason the hydrating cleanser broke me out sooo bad. Maybe it wasn't cleaning my face well enough.
Omg that’s no good! Compared to the foaming cleanser the hydrating cleanser is horrible but compared to cetaphil it’s bomb 😂😂🤣 lol
Dominique Allen same!! made my face feel itchy and broke me out! are you gonna try the foaming one?
Same!
If your trying it for the first time your skin will purge! Give products time for your face to adjust.
I think I have oily skin but I've bought the hydrating cleanser, can I still use it?
I love you, sis! You are so positive and solar! I have combined skin, I use the CeraVe Foam Cleansing but I feel it dries a little bit. I will buy the other one! Wish u a wonderful day!
Could you do the CeraVe Foaming vs La Rocha Posay Toleriane Foaming? Would love that!
I have heard some peeps use the foaming for a body wash (PH level is great) and the hydrating for face. I am going to try both. I have dry skin and yeah aging is something cannot get away from. Love your videos!
Love the hyrdating cleanser for my normal to dry skin 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 plus I use the bar instead🤷🏾
bar?
Hey girl what moisturiser and toner do you use please? Xx
Morning:
CeraVe Hydrating facial cleanser
Thayers alcohol free toner
CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion
CC cream with SPF
Night:
Jojoba oil for makeup removal
Cerave Foaming cleanser
Thayers alcohol free toner
Sephora firming night cream
Jennifer C hi Jennifer I have dehydrated and combo skin and I really want to try cerave but do you think I should buy both the foaming and hydrating cleanser in the small bottle to try , I do get a lot of dry patches and I think maybe I should try what you do and alternate between both 😫😊
Right sis I think cream to foam suppose to be good for combination ladies. I ALSO NEEDD A NEW MOISTURIZER SUGGESTION?
I have combo skin but like more oily side and Im using foaming one with moisturing lotion of Cerave afterwards. Oily face needs to be clean nicely its the purpose of every facewash 🧼 So hydrating ones will be better for dry one combo ( if this make sense ) 😅 .
your skin is so clear omg i luv it
I had severe acne last summer and I tried literally everything African soaps home remedies dr.bronners, kiehl products,...the last thing I tried was cerave hydrating cleanser cleared all of it only thing I suffer from is hyperpigmentation and I’m afraid to use anything for it
May i ask what skin type you had when you had severe acne ?
The foaming looks like dry the skin out i have the green one bought it yesterday leet you knno in a week how i like it
How do you like it so far, and if you have acne, does it help?
Ménou Koen if you have a lot of acne i recommend the SA cleanser by Cerave!!! it’s great!
I’m currently on the fence on whether I want to get a CeraVe cleanser on not, I’ve been using cetaphil but it hasn’t done anything for my skin. I have moderate acne and combo skin, Ijust don’t want to break out really bad if I switch to CeraVe.
9:02 HER LAUGH MAKES ME CRACK UP
Love your personality and thorough reviews! I know that combo skin struggle too girl!
Am the only one that think her skin looks more lighter after using the hydrating one
I thought that too. I always feel like certain products lighten my skin and I’m trying to figure out which ingredient is responsible for that
For all complaining about foaming one....use f moisturizer after and problem solved.
i have acne but my skin type is combination so which one is better for me?
I have normal to oily skin and the foaming cleanser works great for my skin type :)
I have combination skin in summer so the cerave foaming cleanser works amazing on me
“But I have nothin to say” SHE SAID IT 😂
I would suggest maybe putting the moisturize cleanser on the dry patches or anything moisturizing like almond oil . And the other cleanser on the rest of the face 🤗
The SA cleanser is EVERYTHING!!! I mean it took my skin to the next level.
I'm a woman of color with combination skin / acne prone -blemish prone do you recommend CeraVe or Cetaphil ?
You are so cute! Your personality is very likeable. Thank you for the straight forward review.
My Mother-in-law give me some CeraVe and I like it, it's basically the only facial cleaner I use other than my DIY goodies 👍
i think the hydrating cleanser gave you a glow
Does anyone have oily skin and like the hydrating cleanser so much better ? The one for oily skin is so drying ?
Combination skin 💔
Thank you for the review
God bless you in Jesus name
I heard they reformulated the hydrating cleanser, I had the same experience you did
Hi Shundara!
I am so happy you found a cheaper alternate 😍😍🥰
“Here’s my other chin” 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 eggggactly how I giggled
Try Paul’s choice hydration cleanser
I have normal skin slightly dry. The only thing oily on my face is my nose. 😫
Literally same
same!! does it work?
Love your reviewed. This’s what I’m searching for. Combination skin people
Why do I actually see a line in the middle off your face from the different products
Can you use the foaming cleanser twice a day everyday?
Hello is it okay to buy hydrating cleanser instead of foaming facial cleanser?
Is the equate foaming brand of cerave just as good as cerave?
You look like Kim fields. And your skin looks flawless.
0:49 literally I have the Cerave foaming cleanser and I’m so worried it’ll dry my skin about because I have combination skin 😬🙄
has it dried ur skin out ? 💕
mina !! I’ve been using it for like 5 days and I haven’t experienced any dryness 💕💕😁
Naioma Lopes De Sa has the foaming cleanser helped get rid of your acne? Have u seen any improvements? Did ur acne scars fade? Please let me know because i am so confused idk which cleanser to buy.
pasha for me yes
@@pasha-nk2ew i bought it and it really helped my acne, but if you have dry skin (like me) make sure to use a very hydrating moisturizer
You are by far my most favourite person right now, keep being amazing! Thanks for the honest reviews
