Yes when you can, you should visit it. Its awesome. The first view of Avila that you get from the highway if you come by car/bus it’s unforgettable with the wall, and then the old town its amazing.

One of my happy memories. I spent a day in Ávila in 1988. Along with Segovia, Toledo, and Madrid... a magnificent time well-spent.

I've long planned to visit Avila for it's walls, I'm always fascinated by ancient architecture.

Spent less than half of a (rainy) day in Avila. Need to plan a re-visit.
