  • Whether you are a professional audio post production editor, mix or mastering engineer, sound designer, music producer, remixer, student or educator, DeepAudio utilises the Rip Format which allows you to quickly and easily edit the core components of audio - notes, harmonics, frequencies and amplitudes.
    DeepAudio uses AI isolation algorithms and a deep-ripping process to automatically deconstruct any audio file - a process that would normally require a team of studio engineers and dedicated equipment. Dive deep into your audio files and choose whether to fix, clean-up or replace vocals, dialog, instruments, notes, sounds or noise.

    Having done the 5-day trial and eradicated my scepticism, I was hugely impressed enough and bought it a few days ago. This review only confirms what a great piece of technology this is. Mixing old mono singles into stereo works well, though a nice clean source will obtain the best results. That said, the editing functions explained here will greatly help. Thanks Dan for a great, concise review!

    Good review, I only just found out about this one. I'll have to give it a shot, I've been using DeMix on thousands of tracks because they pull very good separations that stay true to their groupings mostly. Meaning, not much need to dig around the various separations for "bleed", as it generally either pulls it out or it doesn't. It is very cool how this program has those post effect processors to really tweak things!!

    For starters that was a wonderfully mixed song and demo of the wild features of this app. Is it 'stand-alone"? - it would be lots of fun with mono material and Audacity to create new panned mixes. I had a very low priced STEMS app for PC which is now discontinued. It was fun but the bass had a lot of "phaseiness" and limited overtone range. Does Rip-X's extracted bass tracks generally sound pretty good * and articulate? (* like in "believable")

    • @DanBakerMusic
      @DanBakerMusic  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for liking my tune! Yes - it’s great for creating new stereo mixes, but as with all software, there are limitations in quality of stems. It is however extremely useable and with many creative possibilities.

  • @guitarkickstart
    @guitarkickstart 2 года назад

    Thanks for the review - just downloaded a trial. How achievable would it be to isolate (remove) a guitar solo but keep the rhythm guitars. Would you have to painstakingly select each note of the solo or would the software allow you to group the notes of the solo easier than that?

    • @DanBakerMusic
      @DanBakerMusic  2 года назад +2

      If the sounds are different, it may pick them out separately,but not sure. You could try applying EQ to the original track and then rendering that before going into Rip X, to try and “trick it”

    • @Tweekend27
      @Tweekend27 2 года назад

      I can tell you after 2 months of using this software that unfortunately rhythm and lead guitars are grouped into the ‘guitar’ channel that you can mute or solo. The only way to remove the lead is to delete the notes of if individually, however, the lead notes contain some of the rhythm sound and vice versa so even when removing the lead notes you end up with a somewhat ‘unclean’ rhythm track.
      What I tend to do is record myself playing the rhythm chords and add that into the DAW, or, copy and paste the rhythm chords from an earlier part of the song (first chorus?) into the solo section.

    It seems the "bass" stem is the toughest one for any AI app to create and tends to be bandwidth limited to the point where transient info and timbre are nuked. On a fast version of "Whole Lotta Shakin"' where I played bass guitar live with a muddy little Traynor tube amp combo with weak motor CTS 15" speaker, the bass stem misses many notes and the part by itself, is muddy, "phasey" incoherent and unrecognizable. A fix for this is to pull up an extra "other STEM" where a lot of upper bass notes and harmonics exist to reconstruct the bass part. That and selective EQ are useful. I wish I had better eyesight and a big monitor to grasp some of the mixing capabilities of this software. So far I've just played with its STEMS with Audacity. Hopefully, there will be enough interest and money to drive AI audio and AI colorization further than their present states.
