As a major bird nerd, I knew this set was finally going to be the set I could build a bird deck that wasn't trash, and Kastral was pretty much exactly the thing I was looking for. The one thing stopping me from just crowning him now is the precon. While I doubt the commander from that is going to change the maths much, it isn't impossible that it will. It will depend on what is in the precon itself, if there' any birds that use red in it that are real swings. But for now, finally bird tribal actually can function.
i think the 1/1 birds for 1 mana are gonna be amazing in this deck. you could conceivably have 3 birds and a signet to ramp kastral by turn 4, ready to attack and get 3 triggers right away.
