Split is amazing. I spent only about 2 or 3 hours in "Velo misto" when I was 13, my parents and me had a stop after travelling with boat from Brac island to Split, and we had lunch in luka (bay) and that's one of my best memories I ever had. I was simply bewitched by this beautiful vivid city. We went to see Dioklecian palace afterwards, but whole city is Dioklecian palace. Split has vibe unlike any other city in world. Its fragrances, colours, that vibe.... Man I don't know about you but I want to go there once more before I die.

Sandro, you have a nice little entertaining video. As someone who has visited Split many times, it brought back many memories. My tip - instead of buying groceries from a supermarket, go to the green market located outside the Silver Gate of Diocletian’s palace (cheaper and fresher). Well done.

Hey, thanks for watching my Split travel guide 😉 Well, I don‘t have everything in detail. But I think there was no activity that costed more than 100 euros. I think my budget for the 5 days was about 700 - 1000 euros including flights, accommodation and food. Enjoy your time in Split 😄
Prices went up in 2024 so be ready about that. It's still worthy to travel to Croatia. That country is simply beautiful and has fantastic vibe. The coolest country ever
absolutely, the old town of Mostar is beautiful, one of the most beautiful towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina :) it looks like a movie set, the whole old town :) it reminded me of Lord of the Rings :) it is about an hour and a half away from Split by car :)

We had a drink at the bar of the „Old Town Hostel“ and for sure there was a huge party going on with a lot of travelers from all over the world. Sure, the meat rolls which are usually served in bread are called Ćevapčići. You can find several places in Split and Crouin general where you can get them. 😄

As for nightlife, you are talking about good vibes, well maybe if you can avoid all the drunk youngsters from England, Netherlands or elsewhere, or be ready to overpay your drinks in the city center where almost no locals go out anymore... Sad reality, i live here.
I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah mass tourism is a problem in exceptional destinations like Split and I can understand that it must be hard for the locals. I try my best to be respectful to the people, the city and the culture when I travel but I guess it's not alway enough.
I live in Roma, so I understand infinitely more than you the problems of mass tourism, that said, I would never be arrogant and hostile like you are, cause most tourists who come are just trying to relax in a beautiful place and admire it, while giving money to your city. You want to blame someone? Blame your own government. How dare you be that rude towards travellers visiting your country? Shame on you.
