    Hey. I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I have found them informative and easy to understand. Keep it up. I am sure there are tons of others who feel the same way but stay silent.

    Not sure if someone else already mentioned it, but the locking arms do not need to be released to hook up. The tabs are spring loaded so that hookup does not require you to dismount larger tractors or reach over on smaller tractors like yours. The locking arms are only for dismounting the quick hitch.

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  4 года назад

      It takes a good bit of pressure to overcome the springs. On a lighter implement with the arms in the latched position it can move the implement making it hard to hook up.

    Good video on the QH as I've been thinking of getting one for my B2650. As you mentioned doing a video on the chain box and weight bracket would be nice to see also.

      @@TractorTechThanks for posting the video for the chain box. Not enough room to store things on the tractor and think I'll be making one of these or maybe two.

    Hi
    Just like yours, but I bought a collection of bushings and spring loaded retainer clips at Tractor Supply for $23
    2 bushings for cat 1 to cat 2 ($2.80 ?)
    2 bushings for cat 2 to cat 3 with pin holes ($5.00 ? ) for the retaining clips

      It is always a good idea to have a few extra in case you get a new implement.

    Question though.. It is obvious in your other video (comparing Harbor Freights QH vs John Deere iMatch) why you went with the J.D. iMatch over the Harbor Freight version.... but curious... any reason why the J.D. iMatch over Kubota's comparable? Was it a design thing? Thanks.
    As any new tractor owner learns there is a "set up" cost curve for implements and improvements when you first get one. Thanks for helping me properly allocate my budgeted funds.

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  6 лет назад +1

      The Kubota equivalent would be Landpride QH15. Kubota owns landpride. It looks identical to the imatch other than it is painted black and about $125 more than the imatch. At the time when I was looking for the quick hitch for the BX, John Deere had changed the imatch design. They added the adjustable top hook. The adjustable top hook interferes on some implements that are quick hitch compatible. They made the adjustable top hook so the quick hitch would work with some non quick hitch implements. So I was trying to find one with a fixed top hook. I was never able to find one with the fixed top hook (new) but I found one with an adjustable too hook new for about $100 off. Later on I found one with the fixed top hook on craigslist used for $100 and it is on the L4240. I probably should do a video on this.
      Your right, one you get a tractor you need implements. Then with sometimes with you need things to go with the implements.

    Thanks Bullitt. You provided great pro/cons of QH as well as price comparison of JD iMatch & HF QH. Since a QH sets implements 4 inches further back, does that require a PTO shaft mod or will it still reach? Thanks for sharing.

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  7 лет назад

      I should have touched on the PTO shaft length. That is a good question. PTO shaft length should always be checked to make sure it is not too long or too short. It is going to vary from tractor to tractor and implement to implement as to whether you need to do anything to the shaft. A bigger tractor with a QH is more likely to need a longer shaft than a smaller tractor. Also if you buy a used implement and someone may have cut the shaft too short. There are also extenders for the PTO shaft. They may cause more wear on the bearing at the rear of the PTO shaft on the tractor. So if it something you are going to use daily it probably is not the best way to go but if it something that on sees a few hours of use a years I doubt it would cause problems. www.agrisupply.com/pto-adapter-male-and-female-splines/p/11971/?sid=asf10&eid=Easf10&GoogleShopping&CSE&MerchAdv&zmam=77232640&zmas=1&zmac=1&zmap=11971&NB_PLA_PTOShaftsAccessoriess_MA_GOOG&BN7cplxU|pcrid|94778170511|pmt||pkw||pdv|c|&&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwLHLBRDEARIsAN1A1Q6Ah69G7szFgFdvHX09DwVEVZ8z_GL8107e7jvjZT4581nxFeclqroaArLlEALw_wcB Thanks for watching and commenting.

    What's your opinion on the land pride QH05 quick hitch? That has a fixed top hook.. I'm thinking about purchasing that one for my BX...

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  4 года назад

      I haven't seen one in person but it looks nice from the pictures I have seen of it. It would be fine for a BX. I like that you don't need to use bushings on your implements with it. So if you had another tractor that was bigger with a QH, you would have to take the bushings off to use it on the BX with the QH05.

    I have a Countyline, 3 point rear blade/scraper for my Kubota BX 360 that I bought from Tractor Supply. Based on what you're showing, it may not be compatible with a 3 point quick hitch due to a support bar extending from the upper "pin" to the blade. Can you advise on this?

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  6 лет назад

      Is this countyline blade orange? Like this one? www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/countyline-rear-blade-sub-compact No, that blade will not work with a quick hitch.
      The yellow blades are quick hitch compatible, at least the newer ones.

    • @mountaingreen6302
      @mountaingreen6302 6 лет назад

      Thank you. Your video helped very much and I should've had the foresight before the blade purchase. You know, as you get older, you're looking for implements/accessories that make things easier, like the quick hitch!

    Hi where did to get the trailer ball crossbar you show in the video? Thanks

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  5 лет назад

      I skimmed through the video and I didn't see it.
      I have a draw bar. They are not good for moving trailers because there is nothing to keep the rotating, so you can damage your trailers coupler. They can be purchased at tractor dealer or farm store.
      www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/countyline-cross-drawbar-category-1-3-4-in-dia
      If you need to move a trailer search for a "3 point hitch trailer mover" on ebay. You can get an entry level trailer mover in the $50-100 range. Some nicer trailer movers are as much as $300.
