Double thumbs up John! Very clever design. Sometime, the standard/well accepted/popular design is not always the best. I am getting a lot of ideas with that quick hitch receiver. Having a clutch tractor, it's just even more difficult to get the perfect alignment. Especially where I am on uneven terrain in the mountain. I was looking to built a conventional quick hitch. Now I am rather looking at making an A-Frame style. So many projects to do, but one day, I'll come accross this one! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Joe, we should have had this here 30 years ago! I think you are right on the money. Tractors with a clutch on uneven ground is 50 times harder to line up. With this QH none of that matters! I also like that they line up so perfect that they are putting remote PTOs and hydraulics on them. I have no doubt you could build one and probably a better one! lol Have a great Easter weekend Joe!!
Nicely done John. John, about 14 years ago, I purchased a 3 point quick hitch assembly that cost 3 times the amount of AGCO's new QH and it is designed almost identical to AGCO's. The female side can be purchased separately as the AGCO but does not need to be tack welded to the implement, which I prefer. I like your idea to make a universal female hitch that will satisfy the hook-up for several implements and save a bundle of coin. I too wrap my hoses as you mentioned and it does not get tangled or mashed in any moving parts of PTO. Great video and a ton of useful information. Keep on slinging those videos. Oh, BTW, you got my hat on (ha). Mine is just a whole lot more beat-up (ha). Hey, I'll trade ya (smile). Have a great weekend, my friend. Always love your vids. ........Don
Hey Don, I don't think it is for the everyday guys (weekend warrior) but I have seen dirt contractor change out equipment 5 times in one 12 hr day. I think it is just what he needs! I will try not to mess up this hat! You have a great weekend my friend!
Yep, you're right about quick-change. Okay, I'll put a part in my next video wearing my scrunched-up Massey hat just so you can laugh at me (ha). Hey John, I'm the same way about tractor brands. I don't care what color or brand a tractor is, just as long as it does what the owner needs it to do and I love seeing all of them in action. Later brother.
LOL! I guess I should buy a Massey hat to work in! lol
Hi John! Now that’s a really cool quick hitch! I agree with you that the real value of this design comes with being able to move the adapter A frame between implements. Since I don’t change implements many times in a day, my Pat’s Easy Change system serves me well. Thanks for sharing a cool new tool for tractors! Have a great weekend!
Hey Martin, I do agree it is for somebody that changes out equipment a couple of times a day! Have a great weekend!!
Hey John great find and review. Very cool to find that to utilize all the different attachments, great job!
Hey, so great to hear your Massey running perfect and ended up with no problems, very happy for you my friend, have a super weekend!
Hey Chris, hope you didn't get to much snow! I can't wait to see some more videos! Have a great weekend!
That is by far the coolest thing I've ever seen. I don't think I would want to weld those frames to all my implements. I like your idea of building something that just snaps on. Thanks for the video. Have a gr8 night!
I like that it is self aligning, because of that. They can remote the PTO and hydraulics hook ups so you don't have to get off your tractor at all, and you don't have to worry about is everything lined up right! Have a great weekend!!
Good morning LA! I have never seen a quick hitch like that. Thanks for sharing. I am surprised AGCO has not created the versatility with the hitch that you are considering modifying. CAn't wait to see how it works out after you have fixed it up. Thanks for the updates. Have a great Sunday!
Good morning to you GP! I don't know why it been used for years over seas but not here! Check out what this style of QH allows you to do because it is self aligning. ruclips.net/video/bTqpl6lteew/видео.html
John! Glad to see you back on the tube man! Good to see you out there making videos! That thing is really cool. I know the first time I changed implements (for the first time) i was like wtf is this madness hahah that would make things a breeze! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Jay, it would of been nice if they had it 20 years ago! Have a great week!
Great Video John, I can't wait to show the kids in the morning. Qwenton is going to be gloating for days. You are spot on with the tractor brands. We share the same thoughts of not caring what brand it is as long as it's getting the job done. Thanks again for the shout out and another great video.
Hey Justin! I really can't thank Y'all enough! I hope Qwenton likes it! Y'all have a great weekend!!
That is a unique piece I have never seen before. I might have to look at getting one!
Hey Luke! They are different and if you change out a lot of implements it will make a difference! Have fun with that tiller!
very cool John my neighbor has that quick hitch in a yellow color on his Kubota they been around for a while but buying one for each implement is expensive. hope you have success adapting the one to fit all.
Hey Dave! Yeah Your right about that! I think if you have a big farm or a dirt contractor it would be great but not for the every day guy! Does your neighbor like his? Have a great weekend!
@@LouisianaTractorworks hey John yes my neighbor loves his but he has deep pockets and has the additional piece on every attachment he owns. his don't weld on though they pin on as far as I know. I believe he has 5 implements and they all have that "A" frame type quick hitch. hope you are having a great weekend, its pouring rain here! yuck and stuck inside! I may wonder out and piddle in the shed. been working on the ole dirt bike the last few weeks. I may even try riding again. been a long time since I road.
Same here! We are getting severe weather here today but I still got called out this morning! I'm feeling like the postman. Work rain or shine! LOL
Thanks man, this is the only one video I found about this quick hitchs
Thank you Ben Lav, for watching and the comment!! I hope it helped and thank you for letting me know. Have a great weekend! See ya in the next one!
@@LouisianaTractorworks unbelivable this RUclips.
´´GIVE POWER TO PEOPLE AND THEY WILL MANAGE AS NO COMPANY IN THIS WORLD WILL DO IT´´
I am near Ukraine, Romania, watching and learning from other people, managing a farm, repairing tractors, right now putting a milling machine in place, converting to NC control.
All this because of people like you.
I order this quick triangles, that's how they call them here, of course only two of them, the reset i will manufacture by myself.
THANKS TO YOU AND ALL YOU TUBERS ALL OVER THE WORLD:
BEN LAV
Thank you Ben! You are so right, I have learn a lot from other RUclipsrs as you said. Good idea making your own A frame hitch. it will save you a lot of money. Best wishes with the farm and the milling machine. Glad to hear you are from Romania. It is so cool that people half way across the world from each other can learn from each other,
I had never seen that style of quick hitch. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Shane, hope you had a great Easter weekend!!
I look forward to seeing your mod, cool quick hitch!!!!
Thanks Mike, I hope it comes out good! lol Have a good weekend!
John ,that hitch is awesome and i have never seen one like it and i think that with a mod or two that you are going to do will make it a real good investment. Also that's a great idea on re routing the hoses .I haven't taken my backhoe off yet but will have too in the near future so having a way to deal with the hoses length will make it easier Thanks for sharing
Hey Jerry, I think it's a great thing for big farmers and dirt contractors. That has collected a lot of equipment over the years! Have a great weekend!
That trick photography at 1:40... It blew my mind!
Thank you Gruuvin1, for watching and the comment! I'm not very good at editing video. Lol. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
@@LouisianaTractorworks loved the video, man! And the idea is good too. I hope you patented it!
@@Gruuvin1 thank you!
That’s really cool! Look forward to seeing it in action.
Hey O&D, it's not for everybody but I do thank it has potential with big farm equipment! Have a great weekend!
Good video John! Never seen the A frame hitch before. Thanks for sharing brother!
Thanks Diamond B, It's the first time I have seen one myself! Have a good weekend!
Hello John .. That's pretty neat. Love your Massey hat. I love different tractor too. Take care
Thanks John! I hope you didn't get any of that snow! There is a lot of great tractors out there! lol Have a great weekend!
That was a great video lots of great info and i will check out your facebook page THANK FOR SHARING
Thanks The Harnish's, I will see you on FB!! lol Have a great weekend!
I have never seen one of these. Great video John!
Thanks CJ, they are different!! I think if they catch on they will get a lot cheaper! Have a great weekend!
This type of quick hitch is really common in Europe especially on farms where they need to regularly change implements this type is way better than the other style of quick hitch because this doesn't need any extra pieces which for me is a big plus point and you can fit it almost to any implement.
Thank you kevinvaneckendonk6477, for watching and the comment! You are so right! I wish we had it here for years like they do there. All the equipment would be setup for this style of hitch. Have a great weekend! See ya in the next one!
These have been in the Uk for years and very easy to use. I wouldn’t move the receiver around best to weld it in place. If you want to save money and can weld or know a mate that can. Just make your own receivers! You just need 2 pieces of metal channel and a small amount of flat plate. Easy peasy. Cheap as chips! If you make a jig out of ply from the first one you build you can bang a new one out in about 20mins 👍
Thank you Nature s Finest, for watching and the comment! This style quick hitch is so easy to work. I wish it was being used here for years. I'm going to do what you said. I will just make more receivers as I need them. Now that I have a bigger tractor to use it on. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
Got the same hat. My local Massey dealer gave me it when I bought the GC1720.
Thanks Jim, it's a nice hat but it being a gift from a subscriber is what really makes it special! Have a good one!
Louisiana Aquaponics Absolutely that makes all the difference. Enjoy
I have had a hitch like that for 20 years called a freedom hitch it works great just had to get brackets for each attachment
Thanks Rodney! I will check into it! Did you have issues with it? Thank you again for the info and for watching!!
@@LouisianaTractorworks no the hitch has worked since 1995 on a 35 hp tractor no complaints at all
That is very good news!! Thank you!!! Have a great week Rodney!!
Never saw one of these before that works really well. Wish all implements came standard that way. Unfortunately a lot of money and time to refab but a great idea👍
Thank you Back In The Woods, for watching and the comment!! If this style can get popular, it could become standard! If you see what they are doing with them overseas because of it lining up every time you hookup. They remote the PTO and the hydraulics so you don't have to touch it to hookup or unhook! Have a great week and thanks again!!
Nice John i thought that would be the hitch you was talking about i have seen videos on them over seas but i did not know Agco was selling them ! i know bobcat uses a front hitch like that but smaller and Kioti over seas uses a small hitch like that too for blades i like to get one but they dont sale then in the us ! have a great day !! Kioti Curt :-)
Hey Curt! They do have a few version here but the ones I've seen are seriously pricey! lol What they are doing with the ones over seas is really cool! I like the remote PTO and hydraulics they have!
Could you flip one of the pins on all your implements so that one would be on the inside and one would be on the outside. You could then weld three tabs off the back of that frame and just slide it right onto the pins from the side, then tilt it up and run a pin through where the top link would normally go? All of your implements would be slightly off center but that seems like it might work and it would be fairly easy to make it the most universal fit. I wonder if this will become the norm like the skid steer quick attach plates did.
Man! aXe, that is a great way to mod it! I think if it does get popular they will get cheaper too! Have a great weekend!
Love the quick hitch mi friend. I did send you an invitation on facebook. I think the part # 23465 would be easy to copy.
Thank you Mr. TB, I will do that! You have a great weekend Serge and I hope this is the last snow for the year!
I saw a hitch like this 30 yrs ago. I made my own 10 yrs ago. Very easy to make. I made 2 tractor A frame hitches and 4 implement mating A frames for less than the price you paid for your one. If you can't weld and don't have many implements, maybe it's worth it, but could never sleep at night if I paid that much for something I can easily make.
Making you own is the best way to go with these! Thanks for sharing John! Have a good one!
This quick hitch is very popular in europe with older russian ecuipment. Pretty much all of my attachments came standard with this A-frame style quick hitch.
Thank you Erki, for watching and the comment! I wish we would have had it for years here too. For the reason you said. All the equipment come with it standard. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
How's she goin'? That's an interesting twist on a quick attach. I don't think I'd be a fan of having to have several 'implement' parts to allow for quick attachments. Good idea for your hoses buddy. That will save you I bet. Take care!!!
Hey Mike, it really is not for the small property owner. The big commercial famers and dirt contractors that have a lot of implement is who would benefit from it, but the guys like us not so much! Have a great weekend!
Good information! I would hate to farm without quick hitches! 👍
Thanks HuntingFarmer, they do make changing equipment a lot easer! Have a good one!!
That would really be nice to be able to move it around. Good thinking . Later
Hey Mech, I don't think it's for the every day guy but I think it would be good for the big farms! Have a great weekend!!
Another awesome video!
Thank you Eric! You have a great weekend my friend!!
That is a bit different, but it is extremely similar to a Delta hitch system I first saw close to 10 years ago.
One issue he seemed to gloss over and imply it would work, is that, especially with subcompact tractors, you will not have the lift capacity to lift the weight of older cat II & III implements.
Also as the pin spacing on cat I and cat II and cat III are all different as are the pin sizes. Also with older (not all that old) cat I implements are not consistent. These factors cause his interchanging thoughts will be very limited.
Thanks Coy, for watching and the comment! You are right about lifting weight! If you have a cat II or cat III you can lift anything from that down! I think the reason they design it to weld on is so pin size and location won't matter! I think this QH is more for big farmers and dirt contractors! Have a good one and thanks again!!
Louisiana Aquaponics as I mention I have what was called a Delta hitch some years ago. It was an expensive hitch system as the implement portion like what you show was designed to be permanently attached (or at least semi permanent). It was a very neat setup with spring loaded pins to keep the 2 parts connect especially for non PTO implements.
Good video. They should have made that quick hitch about 40 years ago.
I hear that! It would have been nice! Have a great weekend!
We use a homemade one with the same size, its already 15 years old. These things are the standard for front 3-point hitches on bigger tractors. I have one on the back and one on the front. If you buy a front mower out here it usually comes with a receiver for the a frame welded on.
Thank you G. Work, for watching and the comment! You must not be in the states! They are very popular everywhere else for a very long time! On bigger tractors it is the way to go for a quick hitch! Have a good one!
Nice Idea using the Channel in the shape of a triangle where gravity centers it and locks it in place
Thank you Jostte, for watching and the comment! It really does seem to work well. Have a good weekend! See ya in the next one!
v nice job
Thank you!! Have a good one!!
Great video. I like your idea for the quick hitch, it would not be too difficult to weld some ears on for the attachments.
Thanks GTB, I think you are right! Some ears would be easy to do! Have a great weekend!
Nice design 👍
Thanks J! Have a great weekend!!
Using this in the netherlands for 30 years. Here its caled the accord bok.
I wish it would have been here for the last 30 years. It is a much better quick hitch then what we have. Thanks for the comment and watching! Have a good one!
nice idea about the hoses. as for the quick hitch i think it would of been better off to fabricate all your 3 point implements to fit the hf quick hitch. because you are going to run in the same issues trying to fabricate the new one. this one is wider than that one the pins are too big on that one and so on.
Thanks OLD SIXTY, and you're right! If the equipment came ready for the QH that would be better! Have a great weekend!
I’m looking for something that could be universal for category 1 to category 0 implements any ideas what I can look into ?
Thanks
Thank you Brad, for watching and the comment! Let me do some checking and see what I can come up with. It might be a couple of days before I have something for you. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
@@LouisianaTractorworks thanks I picked up a Mott’s flail mower for basically free but it has a category 0 set up and I was trying to figure out how to use on my l3301
Ok Brad. After some digging this is what I came up with. I would switch your pins to cat 1 if they can be removed. here's a link for the new pins.www.amazon.com/Special-Products-Speeco-P7219-Accessories/dp/B001TQ2PHU
Then put these bushings on it for you quick hitch. here's a link for the bushings cat 1 to cat 3 QH. www.amazon.com/Adapter-Bushings-Category-Tool-Bushing/dp/B075433XWS
You can probably get all this at a Tractor Supply as well. Hope this helps you!
Just to confirm, the only advantage to this design is the "quicker centering" to hook up. For a weekend farmer the final cost of this unit probably is not a positive looking at the Harbor Freight cost would be a better way to go for the amount it would be used "fun time" is almost free , so getting of the seat and hooking up is not such an effort. Just thinking. But an interesting video anyway as to other options.
Thank you Harold, for watching and the comment! You are correct this QH is not for the weekend tractor user. Have a good weekend! See ya in the next one!
Yeah, that quick hitch is clever. It's one of those things that when you see it you think, "duh... that's the way it should be."
Yeah, your right!! Like one comment said. Should had them 40 years ago!! LOL Have a great week S.T. and thank you for the comment!
This is a nice setup but if you plan on moving the a frame seems like that defeats the point now you are carrying around that A-frame. Look forward to seeing how you use this setup.
Hey MTRUNK, I just don't want to wild it to my tiller but if I had a large farm and a lot of different style equipment. I would put one on each one! Have a great weekend!!
But even if you moved this small A frame around, it's easier to pin on, while you hold it by hand. You align this small piece on your implement by hand: easy. As opposed to aligning a whole implement! Even there, is way much better. But two channels welded together are not that expensive or complicated to build either...
thanks for sharing friendm this looks like the answer...Creator bless...doug
Thank you Doug, for watching and the comment! You also have a blessed day! See ya in the next one!
Its funny, everybody’s in Russia/eastern Europe is using that style of quick connect since way back.. made myself a set because I couldn’t find it anywhere hahah
Thank you Gregor, for watching and the comment! You are so right. I wish we had them here for a long as they been using them in other places. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
cool idea.
Thanks bones! I hope you have a great weekend!!
if u swap the attachment mount every time are you defeating the purpose of a fast hitch???
Yes. But since I only have two implements, one that is QH compatible and one that is really old. Moving it will work better for me. If I had just one implement or four or more I would not do it that way. Have a good one and thanks for commenting!
Where do you buy this? Did you make the implement side?
Thank you Mr.Redneck, for watching and the comment! It is and AGCO products so you should be able to get one from a Massey dealer. In the video I give the part numbers for both parts. If you can not get your Massey dealer to order them for you. My dealer info is in the description of the video and they will help you. I did not make the implement part but it can be made easily.
