    • @HypnoticHysteriaLooming

      No, I have been loom knitting for close to 20 years now and I still struggle with my tension. Depending of the project, I like to use a tensioner. Its a tube you put over yarn to keep from holding the yarn too tight. It works with the e-wrap stitch best.

    I've only done one set of drop stitch, purl, drop stitch, purl, etc. and into the second set of the dropstitch, purl, ehook, purl and that section of the drop stitch, purl, drop stitch, purl looks like it bulges. Is that normal while still on the loom? I'm considering not doing anymore of that particular section if that section will always look bulging. Maybe I held my threads too tight or too loose when I did those?

    • @HypnoticHysteriaLooming
      @HypnoticHysteriaLooming  2 года назад +1

      If you don't care for the appearance then you can always alter it for the 1st set only on repeat. Tension may be an issue and something after 15+ years I still struggle with lol. The fabric will look a bit different where the loom is and stretch out but when longer the stitches get to relax.

After the last drop stitch do you purl or do the first drop stitch then purl. I hope this makes sense. when I am done the 2 drop stitch I just go straight to doing the purl. I hope I am not doing it wrong

    • @HypnoticHysteriaLooming
      @HypnoticHysteriaLooming  2 года назад

      For this you will need to swatch. I think a #7 may make it feel more like a stiff rug. Work up a washcloth size piece and see if you like the texture. Companies are not the best at accurate yarn sizes as well.
      If you test the yarn please leave a comment of you personal though on that specific yarn. A lot of people like thick blankets. It would probably have a good weight to it as well.

      1. You can skip the first peg of each row (slip stitch)
      Or
      2. You can skip the first peg and U wrap the last peg of every row.
