In this tutorial you will learn how to loom knit a baby blanket (or any size blanket) on a round, straight or infinity loom and matching baby hat on a round loom from start to finish. The final width of my blanket using 40 of the 41 pegs was about 16.5" width. The final length of my baby hat was 5.25". Using different yarn, loom gauge, plus other differences will make the width and lengths different than mine. You can use a round or straight loom for the blanket. The first 8 minutes of the video are slightly boring because I tell you how to set up your loom. I filmed this last year before I had practice at filming videos and got a little wordy, BUT I highly suggest you watch the whole intro which will give you all the details on the pattern and setting up your loom and adjustments on how to change the border size or blanket size for any size loom.

KNIT ON! ~ Bridget Хобби
Thank you so much for such a wonderful tutorial. Full of information and hints. No rushing, just what beginners need. Thanks again.
Glad it was helpful!
@@TheDavetHomestead I wish you would start doing videos again. You're the person I learned the most from starting out and would love to see you do more.
Awesome tutorial. Thanks 😊
Very well explained and a great beautiful starter blanket for beginners. It's small enough not to be intimidating 😁
You are a wonderful teacher. This is awesome. I’m going to double the pattern so wish me luck. Thank you so much 😊. I wish you had more videos
You can do it! I hope to have more at some point. I just do them for fun for my charity crafting group.
I love your patterns! I really hope you come back to you tube, your missed we need your Creativity!
Hurray!! You're back with a new looming project!! Your instructions on the hurdle stitch with border is excellent. I am dying to start this project. What I want to do is use a variegated chunky yarn and choose a border color from within that yarn that will really make the stitch on the back pop. I think that would look pretty cool also. I have made a project with your hurdle stitch before and love the stitch. This will even be more fun and unique.Thank you so much for taking the time to show us and tell us exactly how to do this technique. You made it look very doable, even for me!
This is just what I have been looking for! Thank you!
You are welcome!
I absolutely love it 😀
Beautiful blanket! I'll be making one. Just wanted to say--at the beginning of the video, you said you couldn't remember the name of the technique, and I believe this counts as intarsia :)
37:38. BIND OFF.
15:30. ROW 1
Are you able to show us how to knit booties?!? I appreciate the videos!
I haven't made any yet.
Where did you get your knitting hook at? My looms came with one but the metal is popping through the soft plastic and I like how yours is wooden with a thicker handle.
it is a knitting board brand loom hook. it's orange rubber and ergonomic :)

I have a super Afghan loom. Can I do the border then the body ? This will be the whole blanket without having to break it into steps. How do I make this blanket on a KB Afghan Loom, has 198 pegs.
I’ve watched and started this twice now and I understand everything except the interlocking part and I’m so frustrated I really want this to make sense!
At the 21:56 mark, do exactly what the lady does. Pause and rewind if you must. The lady shows where to place the yarns. Wishing you all the best, you will work it out 🥰
Instead of doing a Hurle stitch can this border technic be done with just knitting the whole blanket? Was thinking of making a quicker blanket but would love the border.
I confused at the start of section where you start 1 from the 4 consecutive rows
Hello
I have a quick question
I brought this Bernat softee chunky twist yarn
My question is what pattern would show up the best using this yarn?
I would love to make blankets for the hospitals, but because of the pandemic I’m just wondering if they are afraid of germs or do they sterile them first?
It totally depends on the hospital if they will take them or not. Some will and some won't. Either way, they always sterilize them first from what I understand.
I have a super Afghan loom with 198 pegs. Can this be used for this blanket? I want to make a large blanket.
I'm way confused. Your saying one thing but your doing the opposite. Is the border color on top? In the video it sounds like you put it on bottom I'm really confused.
