The problem with most "Jews" is they reject/ rejected the Son of God. New Testament says if you dont have the Son, you dont have the Father. Sounds like a losing situation regardless of who you may think you are. Modern Judaism rejects Jesus Christ as the Messiah.

There is no nation of Israel yet. God promised Jacob he would no longer be called Jacob but "Israel". But as Jacob yet lived, God called him 'Jacob Jacob" and not Israel yet. Joseph , the son of Jacob called in prophesy Tribes of Israel, or Sons of Israel to show a promise , not that they were so, Jacob was made a MUMMY in Egypt and buried in the land of Canaan. Jesus is a sign that Jacob shall rise , the dead MUMMY will changed in matter to matter and become a living person again, the Messiah has to speak the WORD as Ezekiel foreshadowed to raise the dry bones, and so Jesus as Messiah must yet come again and as appearing as a priest of Temple Israel must speak the WORD and the invisible power of God the SPIRIT moves to change the dead matter to living matter. Thus the Jews and the Arabs are not ISRAEL . God in Genesis 21 says God will make a Nation of Isaac's heirs, and then also God said God will make a great nation of Ishmael's heirs, including 12 princes. Maybe because Judah departed Jacob called Israel and intermarried the Canaanites and became a MIXED tribe in Israel, that they violated the Oath of Abraham which forbade Jews to marry Canaanite Women. But Judah intermarried the Canaanites and Jewish Kings are really as the Kingdom of Judah an extension of CANAAN, not Israel. As a matter of interest Bar Mitzvah was introduced in the thirteenth century. Judaism is a religion of the rabbis and not Torah. I'm circumcised but I refused Bar Mitzvah. Luckily we lived in a small town with no synagogue so a proper doctor performed the operation and not a disgusting rabbi. We're not religious.
This is pure semantics - the Old Testament is clear in its genealogy - the term Jew may be relatively new but it still refers to the “chosen” people of God . I am lost by your logic. What is your point? Are you arguing for antisemitism.
All people from all nations who are believers in Christ Jesus are the true Israel of God, Amen and Amen!
