- San Diego Loyal players walked off the field mid-game Wednesday, forfeiting in protest after a member of the Phoenix Rising reportedly used a homophobic slur directed at Loyal midfielder Collin Martin.
Worthy protest. I support all the way.
Every word you say is an expression of who you are. It is as powerful as an action you take. In this case, a powerful negative word was combated with a powerful positive action.
An amazing call to action by the team. They banded together to protect their own. The sacrifice they made clearly made an impact. There is no excuse for hate.

I don't tolerate these slurs one bit. The MLS should punish those offenders to the highest extent or risk an entire team quitting the sport in protest.
