    No excuse for these to cost more than a jeep or truck. Pricing is absurd on toys nowadays strictly because people keep buying them no matter what

      Honestly I'm not convinced these are selling. I see alot of them being advertised on lots with discounts - I think Polaris mis-read the market a bit.

      I'm doubtful any of the manufacturers are selling millions of these high price tag machines. Do you see a ton of Ferraris on the road? That's why when you see one or a Corvette or any cool sports car, you turn your head and whisper "nice" under your breath. The guys that can afford these love em and I would bet they get lots of attention when they're stopped for lunch or getting gas. For the rest of us, there's tons of awesome machines in the Polaris lineup in an average man's price range.

      What new Jeep or truck that is as capable stock can you get for $43K fully loaded? Not to mention, aftermarket parts are less costly.

    I bought a 04 ram for 3000 bucks, put another 2000 in repairs and took it out on memorial day. Grilled burgers next to a lake did some wheeling. Still needs a couple of repairs, but I'll have way less invested and can drive it on the street.
    I win

    Great content as always… don’t understand all the negativity on here… I love this machine… I can’t afford it.. no big deal… I bought a Polaris razor xp4 1000 non turbo… something in my price range… I also love the new EV hummer and a couple Lamborghinis and a couple Ferraris that I also can’t afford…. Everything has a market… and if it pisses you off how much they cost… work harder and get one … or find something you can afford and still have fun … plenty of variants out there

    One of the main complaints(besides the ridiculously tedious maintenance) is the obsessive noise…i really want one of these but those 2 things are deal breakers. You would think Polaris would have noted and addressed these issues before releasing such a “premium” machine.

    i found the how quiet it is inside comment strange, online all you see is what feels like every expedition owner on the planet complaining non stop about how loud they are inside the cab, and watching vids of people riding them it does seem really loud and there having to practically yell to passengers sometimes

    • @monstermini225
      @monstermini225 3 месяца назад +1

      So the adv seems louder than the XP, we did put $40 worth of sound damping in our XP, we did the front and rear of the rear fire wall which is just thin plastic in front of the engine. Polaris does install a dense carpeted mat on the inside of the XP behind the rear seat, but we sound deaden under that and reinstalled it as well. The last bit we installed on the lower section of the rear floor under the back seat.
      The result you can't see any of the sound damping unless you raise the bed. This reduces the noise a lot and you can now have a completely normal conversation at any speed. Only cost around $50 for Skar sound damping mat and the tools to help roll it on... (Rolling it down is important)
      And about 30 minutes with me and a 13 year old to install.... (I do have mechanical experience.) So an hour maybe tops if someone doesn't

    • @monstermini225
      @monstermini225 3 месяца назад +1

      Also we still on the stock 30, 32's reduce the rpm and nose level which would make it even quieter...
      Also, Polaris will swap the weights for free in the clutch which will also lower the rpm and the noise. They claim the HP stay the same

    Great video Luke. They are awesome machines! I looked into a 2 seater Northstar edition here in NB, and it was way out of my price range. I'm likely going the General XP route, but for those that can afford them these things are the caddy of the woods for sure.

      With the price and the size you may as well buy a used 4x4 vehicle. The appeal to side by sides for me has always been, here's something relatively small (compared to a vehicle), relatively cheap (could get them for $15,000 and under at one time), and could take the abuse of trail and mud riding. I'd be too afraid to drive this thing at $40,000. I'd rather just go get a small 4wd SUV for cheap.

  • @monstermini225
    @monstermini225 3 месяца назад +1

    Precisly why I bought the Xpedition, I have the Northstar xp as it does get used to haul feed for horse or things around my Aunt and Uncles small ranch when I'm not using it. We came back a week ago from riding in the mountains in Arkansas. The wife, my 2 boys and our puppy all had a great time. We opened the windows and windshield for the morning and evening rides and used the A/C during the heat of the day. Sure its expensive, but whats quality time with my family worth... BEFORE I get I could haver bought something cheaper... My wife has M.S. and can't handle heat well, so we needed something with A/C. She loves to play in the mud, so the sealed cab wasn't top priority, A/C was.
    Next we own multiple off road vehicles. A TRX (we used it to tow the Xpedetion to the mountains), Bronco Big Bend On 35's and we have a Gladiator Rubicon. The Xpedition is more nimble, smoother , faster and just overall more comfortable on the trail, its arguably more cabaple on the trails. Lastly, If the expedition does break its not my daily driver and I'm not in a bind as we rent our vehicles as part of a Luxery car rental fleet.
