      That's exactly what he's saying not to do. They aren't claiming to be Christian. Think about what they are saying in reference to Black suffering. Usually conservative Christian dismiss what they're saying and doing because they don't want to deal with the realities they speak, which is the problem. Even an atheist can admit that black people are suffering...

They only black life that really matter are the right kind of black life. They are not protesting if a black cop is killed or if the black person who is killed does not share their left wing ideology or advance their cause in some way

      Same here....(reservations about BLM), as they George Soros is one of the funders.....that says ALOT. It seems like the ultimate insult to the black people, to USE the organization to further leftist agendas.....which feed so coincidentally (?) into the New World Order plan for world government.....There are likely MANY good, sincere people in the group, but the group is likely infiltrated by operatives who incite, instigate, lead....into the violence and chaos....

      @@kathleeniselin1354 Thank you for bringing up Soros! I watched a link that discussed him and the organization he belongs to and it's origin! Their primary goal is to end Christianity (Under the guise of "hate speech") and to topple govts. To usher in their One World Order! When I first heard these things I thought it was all "Conspiracy Theory" thinking but check out the site called FBI Militant. (Faith Based Initiative) It begins with the the Freemason Org. And explains how they finance civil unrest and use comforting labels to lure people in. It was eye opening for sure! BLM is a communist (socialists Sounds nicer) But their purpose is to lure in good people thinking they're doing righteous acts when they are truly being led by satanic leaders who aim to tear apart All families, Churches and Govts to Clear the way for themselves first! .... Then the Antichrist of course.

I go out in my hood and help homeless people almost every day with food shelter making appointments for mental health services, letting them take showers at my apartment Plus. They have helped me with some things to like fixing my bike Etc. But I don't see at that level anyway the brown skinned people getting treated any different than the white. They all get treated pretty bad but there are people like me out there trying to help them. I've only been clean, studying God's word, praying, praising him and growing in my walk for three-plus years now so I don't know much but I am trying to learn the truth! I also remember that God's word is the ultimate truth and that the Holy Spirit Will Lead Me into all truth and God is in control no matter what the circumstances around me say! Also in reference to the Trump quote, you said that Trump said "Your schools are trash, your neighborhoods are trash, what do you have to lose?" While the statement is insensitive, why do you have a problem with it, when it seems to me that you believe it is true. Your quote at 25:50 "America has bred poverty in the black community." Aren't black schools and black communities established by systematic racism trash, or are they adequate? Aren't the very same impoverished neighborhoods you mentioned subpar, which is essentially what the President said, or are they good? If you have an issue with the statement because it is insensitive I don't think you are looking at the statement objectively because you are offended. I don't know if this will help anyone but one day I said to myself if something is true then I will accept it as such, even if it hurts. This mindset has led me to Christ ( not that belief in Christ hurts but the knowledge of my sinful nature sucked ) and I continue to pursue the truth that may be present in all matters. You yourself shared many truths in this video, but brother Preston you should not call someone a puppet because their views are different from yours. That discredits a person and then there's no conversation to be had at that point, instead find what's true in what is being said and correct and / or question the fallacies that you perceive, as I've seen you master in many of your apologetics videos.

    Brother Perry thank you thank you thank you. I am deeply saddened and hurt by the discovery that many of my white brother and sisters IN CHRIST who I have followed and listened to who I have been inspired by have shown these past few weeks that the poison that is racism is in them too. I can understand the world thinking in this way they are in darkness and do not know Gods word. But to listen to people who say they love and follow Jesus, turn a blind eye to systemic racism, or focus on the riots or turn around and say blanket statements like the 'gospel is the answer'without so much as comfort or nod in the direction of those that are hurting I am left dumbfounded. I'm from the UK and know so many black people who have no time for christianity and call it the 'white man's religion'....but THIS is why - how can you know Jesus but not FOLLOW HIM? I hope that your education here opens the hearts of these people. I'm a Christian first but as a black woman I cant deny this is really shocking. We meant to be IN Christ 😔

    Preston, all of these things may be true to the natural eye, but what does this have to do with us as followers of Christ? What do these things of the world have anything to do with those who are in Christ? Isn't it written that if we seek the Kingdom, God will provide for us? If we believe and trust God's word why is this even a discussion? Yes, there are injustices in this world, we already know this as believers, this world is drenched in sin, this is why we were called out in the first place. There are so many things wrong in the black community (lets not pretend like they don't exist). It wasn't until I was 24 years old, that I actually had a true understanding of who Jesus really was. I didn't even really understand the gospel, and I had been going to church my whole life. I went to a black church and didn't really have a full understanding of WHY I was a Christian. I'm not saying that black people are the only racial group with this problem, but I am saying that the black culture is full of filth and it gets in the way. I believe that if our people would just repent of our sinful culture and truly turn back to God we would be blessed. Some of us are blessed. For some have walked away from what we once knew, and followed Jesus. Look at you and Jackie. I can say the same as well about my husband and I. We too grew up on the south side of Chicago. I was molested by three boys at the age of 4 at my preschool, three boys that probably thought it was OK to do so by outside influences. I went to school in the hood, I heard all the music , saw all the dances, saw all the brutal fights, heard all the stories, I'm not just talking out the side of my neck. My husband has his own story of deliverance. Even now , I see it.... I look at videos on social media and see our people laughing at our children doing some of the most profane things, laughing at things that should not be laughed at. I'm well aware that other races partake in the evil within this world too, however I am speaking on what I saw growing up. Now that I am older and have had the chance to see more, I can honestly say that culturally, the black community has some major issues. We can blame racism if we are going to be disingenuous, but in my humble opinion the ball was dropped somewhere else.
    As the bible says all that is in the world is the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and the pride of life. Right now, we are living in a paramount time, and we have to focus on the true prize. There are many biblical things happening that those in the world are not aware of. We as believers cannot get distracted by carnal things. I say this to you out of love and respect.
    God tells us to be not of this world. I'm afraid to say that if we are finding ourselves so passionate about this movement we are putting our race/culture before our spiritual walk.
    I don't mean to offend you brother, I write this as a reminder to my own self. I just had a strong urge to tell you as well. Much love to you and the family.
    “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.)”

Do you really think God doesn't care about the suffering of your people? Where are you from? Lol I'm shocked right now. These "things" aren't of the world, they are a part of our lives. At a time where we as the church should be helping to unite people to Christ by showing them that we are indeed in a spiritual warfare (which is exactly what I’m doing) we are injecting ourselves into the world.

    The part I don't understand when brother Preston spoke about the war on drugs and how it disproportionately effected the black community, while true, didn't black people then and now have the option not to sell drugs? I know brother Preston does not support the selling or use of drugs and that he's not making an excuse for that behavior, perhaps I'm missing something but when does the responsibility of one's actions land on that person? The same goes for the young black girl or woman that is having an abortion how does systematic racism bring her to the decision to go to Planned Parenthood and have an abortion?

    • @samuelbishop3316

      @katherineosere6597 4 года назад +3

      When you know better, like Preston now does, you do better. However, if something is all you know, you grow to accept it. That’s the psychology part he was speaking of. For many people, they feel like their hands are genuinely tied. The cycle is the norm. It takes the grace of God through people who come out and give back to their communities to give truth and educate and convict. But Preston was focusing on one responsibility at a time, as you would do with 2 children who take part in a bad behavior. You reprimand both for the parts they play, and Preston was handling 1 in this video, while stating that he still holds these communities accountable all the time.

Otherwise they will face sudden destruction. Correct your vision brother.

Inner-city killing or addiction? Porn or abuse? Lgbtq indoctrination and normalizing or the breakdown of the family and glamorizing divorce? Racism or pride? Arrogance or cheating? Hi, I just found you on youtube for the first time today and have watched several videos and find you so inspirational! I enjoy your knowledge and disposition in your conversations with people in general. I am a white woman in my 50's. I have had many friends of all different races throughout my life, including many black. I have even lived in Detroit, in a full black neighborhood, being the only white family there. I wanted to comment on your comments at about 10 minutes in this video about white privilege...I do understand the concept of white privilege, however, I believe it is more accurate to say these people are judging others' , than it is to call it white privilege. We are not to judge others' and it is never anyone's "privilege" to judge anyone! I find myself contemplating "doing unto others' as you would want them to do to you", or even one needs to walk in another man's shoes to truly understand the centuries of oppression affecting the dynamics involved with this. People, in my opinion, need to learn that all people are people...and we are all equal. Some will find after they leave this dimension that the yard stick they applied to others was just not very kind, loving, patient, or correct. May they discover this before they receive the same judgement they offered while here. So be it!

    1 John 3:15. speaks to this. If we want these issues to stop, people's hearts need to be transformed. You can't force evil to stop itself. Christians want change, but are they preaching the Gospel? anything else w/out God's hand will fail for the Christian. W/out God we can do nothing. If we preach the "world's gospel", will God's hand be there to prosper it? Transform their Heart, their actions will change. GOSPEL.

      Shane Smith Shane your generalization of people who are for BLM is quite large. Are you suggesting that Democrats are the reason that black people have remained “dependent on the government” and can’t seem to move forward? Maybe if you approached these conversation with a little empathy and compassion people might listen. This community is hurting right now and all some people seem to care about is facts and statistics. Sometimes you just need to lay those things to the side and grieve with those who are grieving. But it’s honestly doesn’t come as a surprise to me anymore because it’s people in the church (a lot of white Americans) who are the main ones who are prioritizing looting over unjust killings of black men. Who listen to Candace Owens because she tells them what their itching ears want to hear... instead of sitting with black brothers and sisters who’ve had a completely different experience than you in this country. Until you can humble yourself - you sir, are part of the problem:

    • @vaughnwilson477
      @vaughnwilson477 4 года назад +9

      Andrea Paiva Andrea Paiva interesting reply- Real compassion includes facts. Facts matter especially when it has to do with the issues of Black Americans and law enforcement. Laying facts aside as you suggest as if they are of no importance is dangerous and irresponsible. Doing this will cost more black Americans their lives. As for the current incident concerning George Floyd any reasonable person of any skin tone can see the former officers actions were careless, reckless, and wrong. They all need to be held accountable. The main officer has been arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder. The other officers are also being charged. As they all should be. So far It looks like Justice is being served. That being said we need to look at each situation separately and stop claiming that unarmed black men are being shot by the police. This is false information pushed by the media, & promoted by BLM. It is factually wrong and very misleading. It is causing division and hate. It will hurt the black community the most. As cops pull back you will see more rise in crime. Who will suffer the most? Black Americans. Do facts matter to you? I believe we can do two things to help mitigate negative interactions between law enforcement and black Americans. First, as we should do with any agency that we allow to have power, is to hold them accountable. As I stated facts matter when doing so. 2nd- address the criminality within the black community- 13% of the population commits 50% of the crime. The victim is usually another black individual. This needs to be addressed- I’m not surprised by your comment regarding Candance Owens. You probably been taught that she has “white supremacy” mentality this provides you with an excuse to ignore individuals like her, Thomas Sowell, Walter E Williams, etc
      Will you be mourning the murder and unjust killing of David Dorn? An innocent black man gunned down by another black man during the recent rioting. You know The rioting showing support for BLM? Does his life matter? Will you or anyone from BLM be speaking out and calling for justice? Black lives do matter, to bad it only seem to matter if killed by a white individual.

    • @Andreaalexandrapaiva
      @Andreaalexandrapaiva 4 года назад

      @@vaughnwilson477 Shane, you took my comment out of context. I said to lay down facts and statistics for another time, because people are grieving. All you seem to care about is facts and statistics. Preston is sharing his experience as a black man in America who grew up in one of the roughest neighborhoods of Chicago, but you want to come on here and teach Preston about black and brown experiences in America. You listen to Candace Owens and all of the sudden you are an expert on issues that plague black and brown communities. There is no humility in that kind of response. The fact that black men are targeted by police is no new thing and BLM was started because of it. Why is it that people are so quick to jump on Candace Owens bandwagon and disregard the many black men who have shared their experiences with cops? Watch the documentary 13th on Netflix. Your comment helps me to know that you are holding fast to a one sided argument. Especially when you say that we need to address black on black crime. That is part of a broken system that Preston thoroughly explained and is a "Manifestation" of systemic racism. Did you listen to Preston at all? Because it's like you ignored everything he said and slapped on Thomas Sewell as the ultimate answer. There are generations of faulty thinking on both sides of white Americans and black Americans. White Americans have been conditioned to think of black Americans as less than - that has resulted in policies that keep them (blacks) oppressed. Learn about the history of race in America because I don't have time. 2nd Black Americans are plagued by the reoccurring trauma that has existed in black communities. It's so easy to tell black Americans to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps and stop having "victim mentality" when every time they try to move forward in society one thing or another is knocking them back down. (Think Black wall street)
      Side note: I've worked as an educator for black and brown children and I'm going to school for mental health to work with this community as well. I've seen the way that my black and brown students live with a worldview that feels like the world is against them, their schools don't have funding, their neighborhoods are plagued by violence and their parents don't have enough to pay for everything they need on a monthly basis. You try to grow up as a child who is caught in this cycle and try pulling yourself up by your own Bootstraps. It's so easy to slap facts and statistics on issues and completely forget that the mental repercussions of systems that have plagued people in this country have longstanding negative implications for their overall wellbeing.
      There needs to be more investment of into these neighborhoods by government and community as a whole. What have you done for your black bothers and sisters? Also, What do you propose Preston should do with the information that Thomas Sowell puts out? Yell at his black brothers and sisters and tell them to do better for themselves like Candace Owens does, with no compassion and no empathy for those who've had a different experience than her? I'm curious - what do you think?

    12:00 the thing I (as a white man) struggle with, with white privilege is that if I went to live, say, in Uganda, I would think about my race every single day...because I'd feel like a minority/different. Then the majority Ugandans would maybe feel black privilege. If you get what I'm saying. One group, a majority group, not having to think about their race isn't an indictment on that majority group, but that's what it sounds like. It should rather be called something like 'minority-anxiety' because it's not the majority's fault the minority feels like a minority. D'ya get what I mean? Sorry if I haven't explained myself v well here. Love all you do, and love hearing your thoughts on all this.

    • @Nubianzen
      @Nubianzen 4 года назад +9

      Respectfully, that's not what white privilege means. White privilege for the most part describes societal privilege over non-white people in any society. So for example, If you chose to live in Uganda and you are able to live there without a risk of deportation and you are living comfortably and in peace, welcomed by a community who may even treat you better because you are white" then you are most likely living in your white privilege. Since a lot of Africans would not have the same experience as you, if they were to try and move to America, Europe etc. To understand White privilege best, you need to ask yourself honestly "What am I able to do because I am white, that a black person would not be a able to do with the same ease"

    • @thomasrogers3008
      @thomasrogers3008 4 года назад +3

      @@Nubianzen Cheers. Yeah I agree with the example you gave, I'd probably be treated well in Uganda. I do think there are places in the world where culturally and societally speaking there would be hinderances to being white too.
      I also, in regard to the phrase think that it makes it sound like it's only white people that have racial or cultural privilege. All people, regardless of colour living in developed countries have a huge degree of multi-faceted privileges to be grateful for. I agree that here is a degree of white privilege but as a phrase I find it a bit too reductionist to be generally constructive.

    Can I, as a Christian affirm BLM the slogan and not the organization?
    My reasoning is because the end goal of any non Christian organization is not the hope and forgiveness in Christ Jesus.
    I hate racism, just as God hated it: examples: Jonah against the people of Nineveh and Paul having to rebuke Peter from his prejudice of gentiles being part of God's kingdom because of the work of Christ on the cross.
    So, with this reasoning can I affirm and advocate for the black community and my black brothers and sisters in the faith, without affirming and supporting BLM organization?

Black lives matter is just the one that gets the most airtime and is the most famous right now because of their inflammatory methods. I appreciate these talking points. One thing that I do want some clarification on is the white privilege piece…
    I understand the white privilege position, I think there was a time where it applied…I do have a tough time reconciling how it applies when there are so many Americans with advanced education, multi-cultural experiences, representation, and wealth-do the qualifiers for white privilege still exist predominately for white people? In other words, does access to things which give white people privilege (education, social status, wealth, job opportunity, Constitutional rights-more importantly inalienable rights) still apply to mostly white people, or have other races-and genders-been afforded and seized the opportunities which were once seen as “white only”? Also, how does white privileged stack up to similar mores such as clubs or organizations designated by demographic (e.g. The Empowerment Program, Sister Love, Chinese Progressive Association, NCAPA, Latino Victory Fund)?
    I do think it would be foolish to believe that there aren’t people (and places) who give white privilege the nasty, nepotistic name it deserves-it also seems like that is not the norm and, in fact, continues to trend toward the exception. I could be completely off the mark here, so I would like to underscore that my tone is with that of trying to understand. Thanks.

    • @4ndyroux
      @4ndyroux 5 месяцев назад

      I should also mention the anchor here…
      A Biblical worldview tells us that we are made in the image of God, that we are loved by God, and that Jesus died for ALL of our sins-before, now, and to come. Therefore, it is a great sign that communities of people are gathering to celebrate their cultures and commonalities, and still its a an even greater sign that we need God in our homes, not just in Church or at Bible study. Christian leaders have a duty to disciple our homes and invite God into the ordinary places in our lives. Raising Christians who are bold and understand the dichotomies of the secular world and Christianity.

    War on drug? Do you mean laws against drugs. Black leader who cared about their community wanted these laws. Sad that they didn't predict that it become so prevalent. The ancestors of white people living today are the ones who set the fire to the community of your ancestors. We can be angered about sin and racism in history but you can't project that onto the whites of today. You sell drugs you go to jail. That should not change. Laws negatively affect communities differently. The question was is" it put in intentionally place hurt them?" The abortion center is the only institutionary racist example we have, they say that what to build more in more minority community. There is a culture among blacks that exalts fornication and having baby mama...Am I not right? it is in the media and it in the atmosphere so people growing believing that "who you are'.Fatherlessness is much higher now than it was back then when there was actual oppression was still in effect. and yes it has gone up in all communities but there is a culture change. Black people got married as soon as they got the freedom too. People then held on to their faith more than they do now. I think there was a culture change. But who knows maybe you right; I know that using these terms like white privilege will only aid it. Economic privilege is real, white privilege isn't. stats show disparity, but these specific stats you are referring to does not separate justified use from unjustified usage. and also demographic will be determining factors on whether you face police brutality at a higher rate. my point is racism is alive but finger should point out at those who are, and how they are. The man who killed George Flyode is horrendous and should be in jail. justice for him. but let's not cause more divide.

    *Matthew **25:41** ¶ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.*
    *42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,*
    *43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’*
    *44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’*
    *45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’*
    *46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”*

    Hi Preston, I was wondering if you had any comments about Candance Owen’s response to George Floyd. Some people in my church are sharing this video and agreeing with it and was wondering if you could share your Christian perspective on it.

    Preston, I thought I'd post something here. I know it is off topic, it deals not with racial issues, but I thought it important to post the following and I think many of your viewers may be interested:
    You said in one of your videos that Jesus was restored to his natural and original state, equal with God. You said that in response to the scriptural writing, the Word of God, as you say you believe. The biblical passage is that Jesus was elevated to a status above the angels. God already is that, and we don't have to give or discuss a precise definition of God's status, above even the angels of course, for God clearly is that and has always been and therefore He does not need to be elevated to that particular status, as was Jesus, elevated to a status above the angels. Jesus was not restored to that status, as you proclaim, for those are not the scriptural words, in any translation of the bible. So Preston, when speaking of who God is, please be accurate in what you say for you have a following, and that Sir puts the burden of influence on you, and that also means that God is listening closely to what you have to say!

    No Preston. I love u and ur family. But this... BLM I don't support it. Cuz if to stand up for blacks.. Issue should be stand up for any injustice.. If it's about life. It should about any life.. If it's racism. Then there should not be blm. Should be for all race.. Forget all this... If it's to stand up for. Start a new group. Why join blm. No. Too long to voice everything I want to say here..

    Don't get caught up by slogans. There is one movement we should get behind and that is the Great Commission. I think as Christians we are to be careful about what we support and their agenda and with BLM just read their core values on their website. I agree with Black Lives Matter I won't support them. Thanks for telling me about my white privilege as latino. 👍

    I have a question. You say multiple times that white generations have accumulated wealth. In my experience many white people don't inherent much, if anything at all. My opinion is that it only takes one generation to build wealth. Every generation has the opportunity to build up their own finances. Do young adults born in the past 30 years really have that big of a disadvantage? Many white people take out loans and don't have generational wealth to start their lives for college, cars, etc. Also your point about welfare forcing black men out of the family seems a little like the chicken and the egg situation and I sense a tone of not taking accountability for our actions even tho you emphasize that you're not making excuses.

    Ah P, in the very beginning of the video to refer to “different race” what if we purposely choose different language. This really is only one race. The culture turned that word into something that it’s not. And to me (I’m white) it feels like saying (different race) makes a bigger gap in community. Idk, I’m just talking. There’s got to be a better phrase to communicate different people groups. My wife and 2 daughters are Nigerian, from Nigeria 🇳🇬. I’m going to have to figure out how to educate my 10 and 8 year old girls “racism” “wht privilege” and it just feels evil. I know God Will provide black men/woman I trust to teach them to teach them what I can’t. It just sux

    I do think I take issue with the word *privilege* - at least how it's used in these contexts. The word in its etymology is a positive word one of honor and respect, but it seems to be used, especially in these conversations, as something negative. That is, when people use it they generally do so as short-hand for 'out of touch,' but of course that is not what 'privilege' means. So when we hear 'white privilege' or 'privilege' (short-hand for the former) what the speaker actually means is "white [out-of-touchness.]" But of course I find this to be somewhat worrying and perhaps a tad condescending to those we deem 'out of touch.' I guess I'm asking, what do we really accomplish by using the term? Are the 'privileged' supposed to be ashamed of their privilege or ashamed of being out-of-touch? If the later, why not say what is meant?
    You might even say at some level I have been one of those people. The irony, of course, is that I'm not saying this a white man, but a black man (if we are embracing race theory). I have brown skin and certainly I have been 'privileged' to receive the best education in the country (US). My parents moved us out of the hood when we were young, so sure at some level I can not fully empathize with those being oppressed because for the most part (in regards to my skin color) I was shielded from it, save a few incidents. Indeed, I benefited from 'white privilege' (for those who like the term). And still do and It's not something I'm ashamed of or feel that anyone should be ashamed of.
    Yet as a Christian I can understand that call to reach out to the oppressed, the call to empathize. So I feel the call the be in touch. But I think using words like privilege are problematic as listed above. And of course here is where I think a secular worldview will suffer in this debate, on what basis can the secularist call anyone to be in touch, to enter in or empathize with the oppressed?
