- Another audio based project.
This huge spectrum analyzer is based on previously build vu-meters.
Simply filters the frequency of the sound source to DC level by bandpass filters on main board.(32Hz, 64Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, 16kHz)
All device contains 400 LEDs, 900 rezistors, 106 IOs, crazy project :D
Power: 12V/7,5A (peak)
Recorded by Sony Handycam HDR-XR520.
I love the frequency sweep test. I think everyone trying to sell these things should do one to show you the range. I've seen a lot of other videos of led "spectrum" analyzers, but they all fall short on really showing you the range of the music. Some of them have 16x16 or 32x32 LEDs and still don't look right when they play music through them. Every band just seems to max out to make a really cool "light show". But for me I want a real visual of the audio, not just dancing lights because you can. And yours is perfect. You can really see the bass, mids and highs.
Brilliant work.
well said
Yeah, it's even better than brilliant
schematic?
This guy bought all the LM3915 IC's and now they are bloody expensive to buy,THANK"S MATE!!
Wow! It's more pleasant to look on led bars than digital screen with them.
Could you show us schematics of those bandpass filters?
Sarebbe bello eh!
Nice one! I have a bit mixed feelings about the square through-hole leds, they're quite ancient-looking, though nontransparant leds always are ancient-looking to me. Great work putting this together, and the bandpass filtering looks in excellent condition as well!
Price in India
I want buying
This is fantastic! Love at first sight. Very graceful! I don't have the knowledge nor the patience to build one. But I sure wish to be able to buy one.
I really want to make an audio spectrum analyser for my major project at school. Could I please have the schematics for this!
ti piacerebbe eehh!!
I like the BPF system, it's selectively. Good job.
This is beyond ridiculously cool man. Good work.
Undeniably you are right. But this has an added DIY pleasure too. :)
I was not very sure about the appeal of this project when I started building this. I mainly wanted to help many confused fellow youtuber who were in doubt about the provided schematics and layout mismatch. And now after the completion of this project I feel I have not deluded myself. :) At least I got a DIY project to spice up the forthcoming Christmas, with kids and elderly persons with nostalgic analogue electronics. :)
Fantastic and a good song to demonstrate well done
Lindo projeto!!!
Gorgeous design !!! Always wanted one of these !!! You sell or teaches how to make an equal?
This is amazing.
I would really like to make this for my final project at school, would you be willing to share the schematics?
I hope Zarovka29 is well health wise as he is not active now.
Btw, I've just finished this spectrum analyser some 2 hours ago.
It's working very nicely. I'm still testing it. I fixed the problems in the PCB layout and reduced the power consumption too.
The huge display is really awesome. I'm loving it.
Soon I'll upload a video on my channel with the my corrections and modifications.
This is a really crazy project. :)
Thank you so much Zarovka29 and podsviceniDOTcom.
There is only one thing that can be said. SWEET!!!!
Nice work. Where we find any documentation about this project?
Dude that is just.... AMAZING OMG !!!
Tell me pls how did u made it ?
nice and smooth vu meter.
ART
Wow, I love this. Joe Cocker also helps.
well good, help me , I love this proyect
Excelente projeto. Parabéns;
man, this ist really good work, is is possible that you can send me the diagram for this build?
I want to build one for my final exam!
+luki schwab "your final exam" damm they just give out diploma for free in your country. bet it's the usa or the uk ;)
Pěkná prácička žárovko.
awesome work, thanks for the files, i hope i can have time to try to build a project as cool as this spectrum analyzer. bye
its amazing your work, i love it
Congratulations !!! Perfect and outstanding job !
fantastic work man. I want one
Aproximated cost in usd?
INSANE proyect, congratulations, enjoy it C:
Hello ... would you consider making a smaller one and might it be possible to purchase it?
Thank you
Just beautiful
what kind of filter did you use?
i can open it now. thank you very much!
So cool , Very nice Project !!!
This is SICK!! Amazing work!!!
Great work. Can you share why you did not use the LM3914/15/16? that could have saved a lot of IC and resistors.
What program did you use to set the frequencies?
Is there a place where I can find the schematics for this? It's a really nice project!
Look at the description of the video. He provided a direct download of the project. Everything is there.
You need to install Eagle software to open the files after unzipping.
Haha, no, they are voltage comparators. There is no computer analyzing the sound, this is old school analog circuitry. It is a thing of beauty :-)
Wow, i`m impressed!!!
Amazing JOB bro!
Still awesome
Very nice, great work.
Verdadeira obra prima. Parabéns.
¡¡ How wonderful !!
Is it for sale or could another be made?
If you want my opinion, it's all about the amount of bands, screen responsiveness, peak detection time and release time. ;)
a question as you did your filter stage and as Unisite not know if I can explain this part please
also how do you get ignite for microphone or auxiliary, could you explain me your stage yourself the input audio signal to your filter
Hello. Congratulations on the project. I wonder if you can give me as you did the frequency filter (32Hz, 64Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, 16kHz). Thank
Great work! Thanx for sharing!!
Pure Art
Thank you very much!!
Sir,
I have just finished the Stereo vu meter with 80 leds and it's great. Now I want to expand this project with the SOUND TO LIGHT RC FILTER. Please can you help me and send me the schematic,PCB and part list. Regards.
This is awesome!!!! Great job!!!
hello sir, why would you place high pass filter behind the multiple feedback filter in schematic. Can you explain me? i cannot understand that point.Thank you.
very nice work
epic work sir !
Wow...! What a sync....
please send me the wiring diagram of the frequency divider 400 leds spectrum analyzer
andersondz6_@hotmail.com
Please send me the wiring diagram of the frequency divider circuit . Thanks.
(sorry, my englis poorly) metaterapeuta65@gmail.com
Can you send for me?
feliperodrigues1994@hotmail.com
End up getting?
So smooth!
Hello. Congratulations on the project. I wonder if you can give me as you did the frequency filter Thank
Simplismente Lindo! Parabéns
Thank YOu so much for schematics ;) I used 3 of your filters and made my own Led color music :)
could i have the schematics please thanks
Dn you can give me the schematics please? thank you
Primeiro Último DO
Where you get?
1) Reference is used for the integrated LEDs?
2) you can share some information project?
instead of using Arduino and doing this, do you have to code it still or no?
am so amazed by your work and wanted to build one like this (big) on my wall while listening to a good music while relaxing. is it possible for you to send me a copy of your diagram, pcb lay out and placement guide? thanks for your time and thanking you so much once i receive my request, good day!
Hi. How are you? I need you to tell me how you made the filters you used for the frequencies you chose. I already tried to use passive RC filters and pass band but it doesn't work for me. I would appreciate it if you please tell me how you made the filters. From already thank you very much
that so cool ,can you show us your scehmatic diagram ,and the list off this component circuit ,thank you
Excellent work. Can I please have the schematics and instructions?
Hello,
which leds did you use?
Size and how many mcd do they have?
Many thanks for the answer !
big project.. luv it...
What amplifiers did you use? reference?
Congratulations on the project, this is great.
I made one for my school, not one for bars, but one with a low pass filter of 250HZ, by the wave amplitude ranged from 6 colors.
Great work!!
The capacitors are on the board don't match the schematic. Which is correct? Did the board get tweaked after the initial circuit was created? This is a very cool project! I am thinking about building one.
What do you need for this projekt?
Que coisa maravilhosa!
hi!
first-great project!!
I jsut want to know - did you make filters yourself or got them somwhere already as integrated chip??
muy bien, esta perrisimoooooo¡¡¡¡¡¡.
The higher the order of the filters, the more accurate the cutoff frequency.
nice work!!
Perhaps to some ( myself included), the visual appeal of the dancing LED display is better. I ran full screen multiband spectrum analyser on a monitor but the appeal of the dancing LEDs are way better.. well my subjective opinion.
Beatiful!!
Very Nice
Hello there! Where can I find a schematic tutorial of this project? I love it.
Dear Zarovka,
I'm highly impressed with your awesome work. I want to build this following your circuit.
I got "boards and schematic are not consistent" error.
There are some unrouted sections in the main and vu meter board.
Also all the jumpers are not very clear to me.
Hence I'm a bit hesitant to proceed.
So I might need your handholding in future while building this.
Are you active on youtube now? And do you have any updated version?
I'll start after getting reply from you.
Warm regards.
Where you get the files?
Great design dude! I suppose that the elaboration is full analog, like the mine ( www.mectronicsinc.com/projects/open-source-projects/), right? greetings from Italy!
Any chance of Gerber files?
What is the music ?
