Datto my ass was 11 when I started this game I’m 21 in a MONTH and I’ve been watching you (and MR. FRUIIIIIT) since I started, combined you both not only got the game on my radar, but kept me playing. Your guides especially kept me from getting frustrated at my lack of knowledge or not understanding certain things, be it raid or quest steps or whatever. The Sleeper and Outbreak videos especially come to mind. Seeing you thrive over the last five years (or more, my sense of time is off) has made me so damn happy.
As we are coming up on what is possibly the beginning of the end of destiny, thank you datto. I have been playing destiny and consuming destiny content since Christmas 2014 when I was 13 years old. @@izaak7513 Agreed, its still crazy to me how often people say the final shape is the end, or the beggining og it when its really not, even bungie has directly stated this, they even called the new episodes the first 3, implying more. either way, i have it pre installed and launch is in around 11 and a half hours, and i cant wait!!

I just gotta show my appreciation for datto. I have been an inconsistent committed player since the beginning of this games launch. Without this guys videos I probably would’ve gotten really lost at some point and given up. But I always knew I could just look up a datto video on it. So for real man you did a service. I’ve meet some great people and had some great memories on this game. I’m not positive if my journey in this game will follow after this but i truly have a new appreciation for the game now. @@SpecialOpsDeclassified I thought season of the wish was a pretty good capstone for the year where we had some of the best seasons we've ever had (when it comes to a destiny season). Good activity, great items, fun plot points (in my mind anyway). It's just that community morale was low throughout during the layoffs. But into the light really gave the game a ton of energy and momentum going into final shape, so here's hoping that energy stays around for a while

It’s crazy, I remember getting my PS4 and Destiny along with it for my 8th grade Christmas. 10 years later and I just graduated and got my degree in engineering a couple days ago, still playing this game. Destiny has literally been apart of half my life and will always hold a special place in my heart. I have no idea how but you made me tear up in the end. This game has been around my life for so long as to many others and seeing its conclusion, well I never thought I’d be around to experience it. This game gave me the friend group I have today, it’s a game we go back and forth and get frustrated but also have a good time just playing together. I get so invested in build crafting even though I don’t make meta builds but it’s so fun to even customize the characters appearance to fit the play-style. It’s difficult to get new people in the game, as how I’ve tried with other friends, but even with its “vanilla” start now they kinda understand my passion for the game. And even if they’re not the memories I made back in Destiny 1, hopefully new players can make new memories with how Destiny 2 is now. Thank you, Datto. For all the videos of “How to beat Crota with x weapon, x class only or *insert meme way to dps here* - to guides, highlight videos and even variety videos. I’m excited for Final Shape and what’s to come of Destiny.

After The Final Shape they need to worry about bringing back all vaulted campaigns, raids, strikes, pvp/gambit maps and destinations. Make the game whole again and then announce D3. If they do that, they would restore a lot of faith in players that refuse to touch the game again over this issue. I wanna be able to play the game from start to finish, and even have the seasonal activities of the past be on a weekly rotator. That’s all I ask 😅

Everybody saying thank yous and talking like it's the end, I'm not even halfway feeling like this is going to be the end. Judging by the pre-orders and all the hype, Pretty sure that after the episodes are over they're going to keep making Destiny. If the final shape is good on a Forsaken or Taken King type level, they're going to sell the crap out of it and they're going to keep making Destiny in some shape or fashion.

Can’t believe I was a freshman in high school when I started playing destiny during the beta days to now being an adult who is working a full time job and having a family but I still had time to play all the Destiny 2 DLCs and stayed throughout the entire saga. Cannot wait to see how this saga ends
Thanks for the video, and for making so much content since the very beginning, Datto! I hope you feel the appreciation this community has for you! I just wanted to add (In case it helps for your analysis of the community/feedback to Bungie), as a veteran player since D1 Beta and someone who has stuck around all this time through thick and thin, *I'm* not even sure I'd be convinced by a Destiny 3 at *this point*. I'm hoping TFS can inspire my love and passion for the game again, like Into The Light has somewhat done for me. But if it doesn't? If the finale to this 10 year ride leaves me apathetic or - even worse - deeply unsatisfied? I think the suspension of D2 support in favor of a D3 could spell the end of my engagement, because there wouldn't be enough trust and hope built up in me that Bungie could actually deliver. They would have to really convince me that a fresh slate D3 would accomplish what it's supposed to. And, after so many years, I'm not sure how I'd feel about losing all of the cool armor and weapons I've collected - perhaps I won't care. Hopefully TFS will be awesome, regardless, I'm REALLY excited for tomorrow!

I've played destiny for years. I played d1 from day one almost every day til it ended. I played d2 pretty religiously with a few more breaks especially after lightfall. I've been up and down on destiny for the last year or so. I'm hoping it's an amazing story and gameplay I'm gonna give this year a chance hut it might be my last. Datto you've been an amazing guide. You've been there the whole time so I guess what I've meaning to say is thank you for everything!

In September of 2014 I turned 16 and decided to get myself a new game for my birthday . I had seen some pictures of a nice golden cowboy revolver and space magic on the internet and thought I’d give that game a try . Fast forward 10 years later and I really feel like this game and its story has accompanied me through a major part of my life despite its upd and downs . I’m excited for all the content and chàges that are coming with TFS , but tbh at this point I simply want to see the conclusion of that story and hope that it delivers .

I've started playing Destiny when I was 14 around the time I started high school. I'm now 24 that have just graduated from college and getting opportunities to do internships. Crazy how that Destiny was a part of me, that I've been through the highs and lows of the franchise, even letting me to play Bungie's previous games like Halo (I never owned an Xbox, was a Playstation guy)

lowkey bungie should drop the “numbers” in the series - if they can somehow manage to create “Destiny” with all parts of 1 and 2. OR something like COD HQ where you can access both titles on the same engine and all content residues
Season of the Wish has been my favorite season in the history of the franchise. Into the Light in particular was such a massive and unexpected turnaround- right when we needed it most. Well done, Bungie. ❤
Pantheon is probably the best raiding experience I've ever had as a veteran raider and I can't believe it was only around for a month. I really hope Bungie brings back more raid gauntlets like Pantheon. Maybe ones focused around non-boss encounters, maybe one themed around a certain enemy type, idk. Obviously Final Shape is gonna have a new raid, but past that I would love to see some sort of Pantheon-esque raid gauntlet that rotates weekly or monthly with new challenges, new emblems, ect. I only managed to get one of the emblems myself since bouncing around checkpoints on lfg is hell, but it still felt incredibly rewarding getting raid exotics I was missing, checking off crafting patterns for raid weapons, and getting some adept guns since I rarely do master runs. I know you said Pantheon wasn't intended for lfg teams Datto, but it's the most fun I've had with lfg raid teams in a long while.

Datto, I wanted to take a moment before all the crazy starts back up in a few hours, I’ve been watching you for 11 years now, I’ve been happy to share the ride with you you’ve helped the community so much. here’s to the next saga of destiny

I have no idea how but you made me tear up in the end.
This game has been around my life for so long as to many others and seeing its conclusion, well I never thought I’d be around to experience it. This game gave me the friend group I have today, it’s a game we go back and forth and get frustrated but also have a good time just playing together. I get so invested in build crafting even though I don’t make meta builds but it’s so fun to even customize the characters appearance to fit the play-style.
It’s difficult to get new people in the game, as how I’ve tried with other friends, but even with its “vanilla” start now they kinda understand my passion for the game. And even if they’re not the memories I made back in Destiny 1, hopefully new players can make new memories with how Destiny 2 is now.
Thank you, Datto. For all the videos of “How to beat Crota with x weapon, x class only or *insert meme way to dps here* - to guides, highlight videos and even variety videos.
I’m excited for Final Shape and what’s to come of Destiny.
glad to be here from beginning to end, cant beileve i booted this game up first on an xbox 360 while still in school no idea id still be here 10 years later
After The Final Shape they need to worry about bringing back all vaulted campaigns, raids, strikes, pvp/gambit maps and destinations. Make the game whole again and then announce D3. If they do that, they would restore a lot of faith in players that refuse to touch the game again over this issue. I wanna be able to play the game from start to finish, and even have the seasonal activities of the past be on a weekly rotator. That’s all I ask 😅
It’s crazy that I started playing in middle school and now I’m an engineer. I hope everyone enjoys the final shape
I remember being a 4th grader playing destiny 1 and now I’m graduating highschool 4 days after the conclusion of the light dark saga. Thank you for all these years of destiny, I quit a little before light fall but I’ve returned to see it through :)

I love that you don’t prioritize your channel, you enjoy the game. Talk about the game with others, you’ve stayed true to yourself since the beginning. It was never about the clout, the money, just destiny. It’s why your vids have such consistent views, you stayed above relevant to destiny for 10 years man. Everybody saying thank yous and talking like it's the end, I'm not even halfway feeling like this is going to be the end. Judging by the pre-orders and all the hype, Pretty sure that after the episodes are over they're going to keep making Destiny. If the final shape is good on a Forsaken or Taken King type level, they're going to sell the crap out of it and they're going to keep making Destiny in some shape or fashion.

Can’t believe I was a freshman in high school when I started playing destiny during the beta days to now being an adult who is working a full time job and having a family but I still had time to play all the Destiny 2 DLCs and stayed throughout the entire saga. Cannot wait to see how this saga ends

I just wanted to add (In case it helps for your analysis of the community/feedback to Bungie), as a veteran player since D1 Beta and someone who has stuck around all this time through thick and thin, *I'm* not even sure I'd be convinced by a Destiny 3 at *this point*. I'm hoping TFS can inspire my love and passion for the game again, like Into The Light has somewhat done for me.
But if it doesn't? If the finale to this 10 year ride leaves me apathetic or - even worse - deeply unsatisfied? I think the suspension of D2 support in favor of a D3 could spell the end of my engagement, because there wouldn't be enough trust and hope built up in me that Bungie could actually deliver. They would have to really convince me that a fresh slate D3 would accomplish what it's supposed to. And, after so many years, I'm not sure how I'd feel about losing all of the cool armor and weapons I've collected - perhaps I won't care.
Hopefully TFS will be awesome, regardless, I'm REALLY excited for tomorrow!

I've played destiny for years. I played d1 from day one almost every day til it ended. I played d2 pretty religiously with a few more breaks especially after lightfall. I've been up and down on destiny for the last year or so. I'm hoping it's an amazing story and gameplay I'm gonna give this year a chance hut it might be my last. Datto you've been an amazing guide. You've been there the whole time so I guess what I've meaning to say is thank you for everything!

In September of 2014 I turned 16 and decided to get myself a new game for my birthday . I had seen some pictures of a nice golden cowboy revolver and space magic on the internet and thought I’d give that game a try .
Fast forward 10 years later and I really feel like this game and its story has accompanied me through a major part of my life despite its upd and downs .
I’m excited for all the content and chàges that are coming with TFS , but tbh at this point I simply want to see the conclusion of that story and hope that it delivers .
In the Seven years i've been playing Destiny there's always been one youtuber I've been subscribed to on all of my accounts I've ever had. and it was Datto. I've always loved watching your thorough guides, the funny videos with the dream team or Jez and Danielle. I've started playing Destiny when I was 14 around the time I started high school. I'm now 24 that have just graduated from college and getting opportunities to do internships. Crazy how that Destiny was a part of me, that I've been through the highs and lows of the franchise, even letting me to play Bungie's previous games like Halo (I never owned an Xbox, was a Playstation guy)

lowkey bungie should drop the “numbers” in the series - if they can somehow manage to create “Destiny” with all parts of 1 and 2. OR something like COD HQ where you can access both titles on the same engine and all content residues
Season of the Wish has been my favorite season in the history of the franchise. Into the Light in particular was such a massive and unexpected turnaround- right when we needed it most. Well done, Bungie. ❤
Pantheon is probably the best raiding experience I've ever had as a veteran raider and I can't believe it was only around for a month. I really hope Bungie brings back more raid gauntlets like Pantheon. Maybe ones focused around non-boss encounters, maybe one themed around a certain enemy type, idk. Obviously Final Shape is gonna have a new raid, but past that I would love to see some sort of Pantheon-esque raid gauntlet that rotates weekly or monthly with new challenges, new emblems, ect. I only managed to get one of the emblems myself since bouncing around checkpoints on lfg is hell, but it still felt incredibly rewarding getting raid exotics I was missing, checking off crafting patterns for raid weapons, and getting some adept guns since I rarely do master runs. I know you said Pantheon wasn't intended for lfg teams Datto, but it's the most fun I've had with lfg raid teams in a long while.
