    This video is probably one of your best. I have been pain free many times over years. Had many recurring symptoms and the ones I freaked out about lasted a very long time. The ones I shrugged off. Recognized that it was PDP and went on living my life went away relativity quick. You can’t stop your brain from trying to protect you. You can decide how react to what it’s telling you.

    10 yrs of pain. Last evening was si bad I literally googled: can I be a normal person again and get away from this pain? Got to one of Dan’s videos. It all made sense. Did the test. Believed it. Decided to get pain free. Talked to my brain. Symptoms went away same evening while I was minding my own business! I am and was all my life a skeptic but this made sense and I will do it!

I guess I’m not sure why I’m still suffering while I have no stress in life (normal stress lol). I’m grateful to you as at least I face life with no fear and get on with my day. But then I came to the conclusion that it was TMS and in 2 days it was completely gone. The mind is incredible. If I once in a while have small flair ups I can make all symptoms go away with half a day. I use to have so much throat pain and couldn’t talk. And yesterday I went to my dentist and he asked me to keep quiet because I was talking to much. 😂 TMS has thought me so much about the mind, and Dan my friend you brought me back to life! 🙏🏾 Forever grateful to you! ❤️🙏🏾

    Interesting Dan, I think one of the things for me with the PDP/TMS journey is that my own physical/mental/emotional state is something that I am much more attuned to and aware of. I guard against hyper vigilance but its interesting to observe how the body responds to things. I have had a few emotionally charged days, culminating happily with the safe birth of my third grandchild after a difficult roller coaster ride of a few days for my son and daughter in law, waiting for his arrival. Some of the TMS symptoms that I have experienced in the past have come to visit. I am not giving them attention but its so interesting that they have appeared! The body is like a barometer it seems. I appreciate your sharing your own vulnerabilities and your story, the human body is extraordinary for sure.

    I have a physical condition that leaves me with neuralgia and nerve pain, however I am also recovering from chronic fatigue. I find that safety and comfort helps massively with the fatigue. It’s like playing the guitar for the first time. It’s hard and you’ll suck at it. With time and practice your brain creates new pathways and you’ll be good at it. It’s no different with TMS.

    Great video! How long do you consider “chronic pain” to be in duration?I ask because for over 25 years I have had numerous back issues however they seem not to be chronic because they have lasted anywhere between 2days-2 weeks at a time. They would occur every couple of months and sometimes years in between. Lucky me. Lol. I guess I just have that kind of a brain but I will say I resent it at times because how can you not ask yourself, “why me!?”

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Год назад +1

      Chronic is defined as 6 weeks or longer. However repetitive pains over years can still be driven by the brain perceiving danger. Commit to teaching your brain you are safe.

    I am trying to understand this disease but maybe it's because I'm new to it but are you saying that these diseases / disorders are caused by anxiety? I injured my neck which caused some nerve damage and loss of some sensation and difficulty with Mobility. So I'm just confused could it be caused by an injury or by anxiety or both? 🤔

    • @aniszaniszz
      @aniszaniszz Год назад

      It's caused by your injury, but its your brain that decides how much pain you have in that moment to warn you from it getting worse if you keep doing what you are doing. And from there it's how you respond, are you going to rest or are you going to stress out about it. I always think if it gets bad I will just chill out for a while or do what feels good in that moment. Sometimes I get instant anxiety and get mad at the pain. But then it gets worse. I don't think the both of us have TMS, but we can still learn some pain management from Dan. I suffered for 4 years and I finally have it under control and a big part of it is listening to the pain and also not saying yes to everything anymore for example going to disney while in severe pain with ur family because they think you can do it. Try to say no if it gets to much! I hope this will help you a bit.

    Thanks Dan. Good topic for me as my symptoms have flared up a bit since last night. I’m observing my own reactions to them. First reaction is “oh no “and fear. Then I begin to calm down and reassure myself -I know what this is. It’s possible my brain thinks I overdid it with all the hiking the past couple of days. The why doesn’t matter, and I certainly don’t have to like it, but the more I accept and allow and live my life the less fear I have.❤
