by the death of Meles, said Asuman Kiyingi, state minister for
regional cooperation, adding it was a "big loss for the whole of
Africa".""He has been so instrumental in finding solutions to

African Union forces battling Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab
insurgents in Somalia.Ethiopian troops invaded Somalia for a
second time last year -- after a US-backed invasion in 2006 -- and

@Nuredin Adem Wow! Your hatred and idiocy are coming through loud and clear. You make Ethiopian problems to be an ethnic one. But Ethiopian problem is a class and elitist related struggle. The solution should have been creating a strong and vibrant democracy that equalizes everyone, no matter which region they come from; and grow each region equitably according to their needs. For this you need an outstanding leader (not an autocratic wimp like meles) to rally political institutions around these ideals.

Replace Egypt with Ethiopia, and Ethiopia with Somalia, and you'll find out that's what we Somalis have been saying for ages!

I know ordinary Ethiopians have nothing against Somalia and are wishing peace and prosperity for all Africans, including their neighbours in the Horn of Africa. It's rather Ethiopian egocentric regimes that dictate Ethiopian policy towards its neighbours that we've been having problems with.
