    Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    I just bough.t the 25 pint. Basement isn't more than 1500 sq ft I wish I could drain it continuously, but there is no drain in the basement, so I have to empty out the tank every evening! :(
    However, it does work well and am very pleased with how much it has improved the humidity. It will serve as a preventative measure after the mould remediation services come and remove the mould that has developed. Cheers.

    I just got one. And in almost 1hr running in a 1,500 sq ft house humidity went down from 54 to 46. I really can feel the difference. Thank you for the video! Would love to know, how's yours doing so far?

    Mine is draining out the hose but I see that the bucket still needs to be emptied after couple of days. I wonder if that’s normal. I was hoping to not have to every empty so that it can work even if I am away

      It's probably a bad connection between the hose and the machine. Try white thread tape

      It’s hard to say, depending on what your price per kWh. In my experience its not much more than a few dollars a month. Hopefully this helps! Thank you for watching and please consider giving the video a thumbs up if you haven’t already! Thank You!

    Hi I have had mine for couple months and now its dripping from the hose attachment inside the bucket? Also found water undef the bucket?
    My last unit did the same. I don’t understand why?
    Help please 😮

      Hose drip: Try plumbers tape. Or new washer on hose. Water under bucket: Clean filter? Dirty filter can cause ice build up which slowly melts. Make sure collection bucket is closed very securely.

    If I use gravity drain feature I don't have to do anything right? I have a hose draining to a sump pump. I don't have to tilt it or anything like that? The instructions that came with it made it sound like it had to be tilted but what you're saying (which makes way more sense to me) is that it will drain it on it's own as long as it's draining downhill.

    • @5MinuteFixit
      @5MinuteFixit  Год назад +1

      The way you stated it here is correct, you don't have to tilt it will drain downhill. Thank you for watching!

      "don't have to do anything" not quite - make sure the air filter stays clean. Check for drips from hose or under the unit.

    Does the drain hole need to be covered to use the bucket? I think we lost the cap for it

    • @5MinuteFixit
      @5MinuteFixit  Год назад

      I believe the drain hole either dumps into the bucket or when a hose is attached it runs through the hose. Hopefully this helps thank you for watching!

      @@5MinuteFixit I meant the built-in bucket, we ended up using saran wrap and rubber bands to plug the drain hole so it woud go into the bucket instead but thanks for the reply!

      As long as the hose end is lower than where it connects to the unit, you can drain it wherever you want. You dont want the hose going up and over anything thats higher than where it connects to the dehumidifier
