Really enjoying watching the project progress. My only feedback is that the ambiant sounds were a bit overwhelming in the video and Im not sure if I agree with having cicadas as ambient sounds in lotr which was basically set in anglo saxon england.
I totally agree on the sound being too loud, I messed up recording the audio so I couldn't split the game sound and voice over, hopefully I've learned my lesson for next time. And I hadn't thought about that disconnect between cicadas and Anglo Saxon england, I will change that, thanks!
Nice video. I enjoyed your explanation through the process of scanning, cleaning and rigging the mini. I was wondering if this was possible and you showcase it very well. So, I know you mention you won't do it, but just from the theoretical point of view: Once you have a model rigged in A or T pose, it should be possible to go to mixamo and get some free animations up and running quickly, am I right? It won't be perfect since the model is not that smooth but from a "tabletop" view distance it should kind of work. What do you think? Regards and good luck with the development, it's progressing nicely
You're absolutely right, theoretically it should be possible I haven't tried yet because I'm forcing models into those T/A pose and misalignment will.not track correctly in a t-pose animation. But why not try, you've convinced me to try! Haha
Have you considered using 3d print sculpts? You'd have beautiful models instead of the poor scans. You'd have to create their textures though, that's a downside
I have but as your rightly said texturing is my problem, for now I don't mind having lower quality sculpts If enough people become interested in these videos and the game then I would definitely switch to 3d sculpts and get them textured. Thanks for the feedback
Awesome progress!

@@OmiDigi hahaha I would love to see it. Good luck!
can you add like a half second delay to the upper body and lower body becoming rag doll
I can definitely add that, I'll give it a go and let you know what it looks like
I really wish you could get the legal permission to release this game
If enough people seem to enjoy what they see then I will definitely switch to none LoTR models and think about releasing a playable version.
