Mental Health has always been a 'Cinderella' of health care. Stigmatized with so much baggage from shame, embarrassment to an almost religious sense of 'sin' of taint, of punishment. Mrs Carter as First Lady, did so much to free Mental Health from such stigma and bring it into the light of respectful attention and desire to do right by the sufferers of so many debilitating mental conditions.
