I was a child during the Carter administration. I did not come to the US until my uni years and yet I believe my education gave me a clearer understanding of the era. I volunteered for *Habitat for Humanity* and in the years since attribute that early start to my dedication to philanthropy. President and Mrs Carter were the epitome of altruism and have lived wonderful lives. The world is blessed when people like the Carters walk amongst us.
When my beautiful grandmother died, my grandfather went just under a year later. It’s devastating to a family. I have so much respect for the Carters and so I send my love to them.

May she rest in peace and know that the world is a better place because of the hard selfless work she put forth for the world! She WILL be missed😢.
When she was advocating for mental health, the state institutions were deinstitutionalizing thousands of patients who ultimately were released into society with little support resulting in a large increase of homeless. They both were dedicated civil servants and true patriots! ❤️🇺🇸
She, alike her husband, was an inspiration to all, including all Guyanese. Through the Carter Centre, democracy was restored in Guyana. May she rest in the bosom of the Lord.
