Thanks for providing this video. It served as a useful guide when I replaced two of the fuel injectors on a 2005 Sienna. I never would have attempted something like this if not for this video.
This was interesting and I could do this if needed. Thanks for putting this up. '06 Sienna 238,000 miles no issues whatsoever so far other than severely clouded plastic headlights.
Thank you for tuning in and providing your valuable feedback! I appreciate it. I do have a couple more sienna services I will be posting soon. Take care.
I'm just curious as to the disconnection of the battery. I don't want to mess with mine because it sets off the alarm and I don't have the key fob right now.
Have 300'000 plus original injectors car runs smooth should I replace injectors? Run cleaner every tank full. Exhaust pipe end looks darkish not grey as in good fuel burn! 85 old mechanic retired
I just don't understand why they make this Van so difficult to replace the Spark plugs. I just bought a used Toyota Sienna and was looking over.the engine and wondering where's the plugs ? And I came to the conclusion that they had to be underneath that silver plastic plate with the Vortex screws. Well at least I got 3 right and watched this video then I'm like seriously ? Take off the wipers, Motor, Cowl, Throttle body Ect. Well thanks for the video very helpful and RUclips is great for how to's when fixing stuff. ✌
You are very welcome. I appreciate the feedback. I, too, was a bit perplexed on the difficulty servicing this engine, but it's a sweet ride and those engine difficulties are worth it as long as you are patient.
My car has been on a downhill slide. Took it to get oil change....they didnt put oil in it. Mechanic changed head gasket and some other stuff.... Now its misfiring at 3 and 4 and is pulling a cat code, so the o2 sensor may be bad or the cat is kaput from the misfiring.... idk. 😢
You can visit my spark plug replacement video and at (eleven minutes and 33 seconds) I am actually replacing a rear fuel injector for troubleshooting purposes. Hopefully this helps. ruclips.net/video/vFstMoa4_Kg/видео.html
We have a 2012 Scion xB we bought new, had the same problem thinking was a bad coil or cylinder had low compression. All it was the original fuel injector seals were old and hard making it misfire under load replaced all seals fixed the problem
ya my van was acting up wen i got to work. it started sounding different like it was gona die. so its after work n i start drivin n my van is soundin awful. the check engine light started blinking and i drove it like that all the way home 35mph. my heart was poundin the whole time lol i was so scared sumthin mite blow up. i had the ignition coils n plugs replaced about 2yrs ago so im guessin thats not the problem. looks like this is same problem im havin. my van had no power n it was real noisy. mine is an 09. im hopin this is the fix
Thanks! Yes. The three on the back side require the intake plenum to be removed. See my video on changing spark plugs. (ruclips.net/video/vFstMoa4_Kg/видео.html) I go through the steps, there. In fact, that injector was originally the #5 injector on the back and I swapped it for troubleshooting purposes. Thank goodness I did. otherwise, I would have been removing the intake twice.
Maybe, maybe not. Old injectors will still need reman'd. Could also be moisture in them... I run 91 octane every few tanks and have since I've had my sienna some 5 years. Out of the blue misfiring 2 cylinders, injectors

Great, simple video well explained. Thank you. Now I can replace it in my sienna.
You are welcome!
How did you determine it was a faulty fuel injector…and not something like a bad coil pack?
That looks easier than I expected.
The front fuel injectors are not too bad and easy to access.
@@projectfixitare these the same with 98 to 03 sienna
He was sure lucky it was on the front half of the engine and not the back side.
This was interesting and I could do this if needed. Thanks for putting this up. '06 Sienna 238,000 miles no issues whatsoever so far other than severely clouded plastic headlights.

The “inside” washer..
Does it go with the bolt or between fuel metal rod and bolt?
outside one between banjo bolt head and fuel metal rod......inside one between the fuel metal rod and fuel rail which holds the injectors.
We have a 2012 Scion xB we bought new, had the same problem thinking was a bad coil or cylinder had low compression. All it was the original fuel injector seals were old and hard making it misfire under load replaced all seals fixed the problem
Wow. Good feedback. Thanks.
Hello i watched all 3 videos P0305 misfire do you think from all the parts that were replaced the issue was the fuel injector in the first place?

De nada! Thank you for watching and for taking time to comment!
You can eliminate all this by using mobil or shell premium unleaded gasoline 92 or 93 octane. Cleaner gas is key
