We made our dinette into a permanent bed many years ago because we always cook outside and eat outside. I'm so stealing the sweet way you made the bed up with the pillows instead of just putting them at the head of the bed. Beautiful!

Looks so good! Love how light and airy it is. You may want to consider room darkening curtains that you can clip on when you sleep. Idk about you but I can't sleep with light.
or you could add room darkening roller blinds.

It looks absolutely beautiful, you did an amazing job! But I really think you should invest in a new mattress. A new one will be more comfortable, be cooler during hot weather, but most of all, a strangers 50 + year old mattress is disgusting.

A vintage 1966 Avalon camper hibernating in my driveway since I purchased her in the late fall. I have been lamenting that I might have made a mistake because she has just been sitting there unused for several months now. Painting the outside first seemed like it was the way to go, but after being inspired by your videos this cold rainy New Jersey morning, I'm going to head out there now and start on the inside. I have several names and schemes buzzing around in my head, but I am considering naming her either Sunny, Birdie or Chickadee. Which name do you like?? I think I will paint her a very light robins egg blue on the bottom and creamy white on the top, but I the more Pinterest I do the more confused I get. Thanks for the motivation!!
The bedroom turned out absolutely gorgeous! So airy and relaxing, very romantic♥ I would encourage you to try sleeping one night on that bed before you ever head out on a trip- I hate to be "that person" but those old foam pieces in plastic are going to be uncomfortable, lumpy, and very hot/sweaty. A new Queen futon, folding mattress or camper mattress is around $200, which is an excellent investment for comfort and good, restful sleep. Looking forward to the next one!

Looks gorgeous! Did you buy a particular shiplap that's not heavy? I want to do that to mine. I bought a stick on wallpaper and it looked beautiful, but as time passes it's starting to come off! BTW I too love Christmas music!

We haven’t decided on that yet, we’ve been thinking about it a lot but can’t figure out what we want to do. My game plan is to keep it for now and maybe try to set it up for people to do photo shoots in ect. And then see how we feel about it! If we do sell it, we will most likely buy a early 2000’s camper (renovate it) that’s bigger to travel in just so we’re not on top of each other 😂💕
I would get a real bed for that area if you're going to sleep in it. Its worth the extra money
I think you're gonna regret not having a real mattress. Since you have it set up as a bedroom full time, there's no need to have the individual cushions. My folks had a camper in the 70's with those kind of cushions. In the middle of the night you find yourself lying on the hard plywood between the cushions.
that's why I added a mattress topper and enclosed it in a tight zippered case so the cushions won't separate. We will try it out for our first trip and see how it goes, we don't want to invest in a mattress quite yet!
My daughter gets rid of pet smells using backing powder and vinegar and water. I wonder how it would have went if you had gotten that steamer you used for your wedding and filled it with the recipe my daughter uses and steamed the original cushions then left them in the sunshine??? Or that other thing you used that you said "smells like fall in a bottle?" But you put it in that mattress protector. Ain't nothing getting through that thing!!! LOL

Just from experience, the tape will fail, especially if you change elevation and vlimate often.
