If you noticed. Penguin was playing everybody to get what he wanted. As the show went on it seemed like he was gaining a form of redemption, but penguin played the viewers just like he did the characters in the show. That’s why it’s a perfect ending.

Disney and Sony been putting out "villain" films but really anti heroes films. This is probably the first time a comics book villain is shown to be a true villain. Folks are just use to the Disney and Sony formula.

Can't do 7 seasons just on Penguin & expect to keep the same quality. That's too long, it would probably get bad eventually. This one season was great, I'm fine with just this one, especially if he ends up being the main villain in The Batman sequel, I don't think there really needs to be a Season 2. They've teased mini-series about other Batman villains from this universe too, I don't think anything has been confirmed yet, but I wouldn't mind getting those. Like a villain series before each new movie would be cool.

The logic makes sense. The only person in the entire series who hurt him was his mother, his only family and the one thing he loved. So being as calculated as he is, he’s eliminating the possibility of being hurt again by just killing the guy closest to him. It was removing his one weakness. Purely a business decision.
I love that they didn't try to do what black Adam did and make a villain, a anti-hero. Best superhero/villain show since Joe budden was Daredevil on Netflix 🔥

He was too close to the kid and knew that could be used against him. It was a necessary moment in showing his thought process and insanity. Every Batman villain is at least a little insane.
Colin Farrell, who is Irish in real life, portrays an Italian-American overweight Mobster/ Gangster in the last Batman movie and Penguin TV show, and Knock That Out of the Park goes to show how good he is. That's not an easy role for any actor even with the long years in the game that Colin put into acting. He most definitely deserves all the Emmys he can get next year.

He pretended his mom was dead the whole time to keep her from being used against him until people found out she was alive. Vic was too close and knew too much to leave him alive.
To answer why he got rid of Vic cuz he saw how vulnerable he was when they captured his mother. He knew if he wanted 2 get to where he wanted 2 be he had to get rid of all his vulnerabilities which was Vic.
Penguin physically has no superpowers, but he does have superpowers he’s selfish , he’s always thinking about the endgame in a selfish way. When he lost his mother due to the coma , he superpower kicked in and realize he didn’t want to get close to Vic. That’s why his gf is street girl. Love without no commitment.
It’s Oswald Cobblepot. He’s a piece of trash. The show did a good job of portraying his trash person. It also did a good job at tricking people, that don’t know the Penguin, into thinking he was a redeemable human. 😂
I’m still mad that the show changed Penguin’s name to Oswald Cobb for no reason. I expected him & his mom to use to use their real last name around each other at the very least, regardless of what the rest of Gotham calls him.
Penguin was great. The writers highlights the true ruthless and apathetic nature of Penguin as he was depicted in the comics. I hope they keep the writers and producers for the next Batman movie because a power struggle between Penguin and Joker would be epic.
Best actor - Sophia Falcone…girl played that role to perfection. The level of psychological torture and torment she demonstrated was top-notch. The reason I give it to her over Colin Farrell’s portrayal of the penguin is we got a taste of it in the Batman and she came out of left field from comic book name, recognition only with an established crime family, and just straight dominated from the second she walks on the screen, Colin Farrell couldn’t even do that until he started talking
He's going to appear in Batman 2 & 3 The reason why House of Dragon was 8 episodes this season was because Warner Brothers Discovery & HBO had conducted a budget cut & the 2023 writers strike. Also this upcoming season of Tge Last of Us is going to be cut short of 2 episodes as well.

Vic was killed bc he was an emotional weakness for Oswald plus in a way he was of Vic (just like he was jealous of his brothers) for his innocence/kindness and the fact that his mother had started to like him. Plus Vic knew too much about his operation and if he was put into a position to rat Oswald out he would probably do it out of fear. Forcing him to leave the city wouldn’t have been enough.
Penguin can’t go 6 or 7 seasons without Batman being introduced. And once Batman is introduced the show becomes more about Batman. Especially with them putting the bat signal tease. they may be able to get 1-2 more seasons without Batman being there but it’s going to be tough
For the Joker series, those were just fake rumors people are spreading all over social media. That rumor has already been shot down. I hope they do make a Joker series though. Batman & Joker already have a history in this universe, so I'd like that to be explored.

They did say it ties into the next Batman but I still think that is more directed toward Vic returning somehow more so than what the Penguin is doing.
