    I just bought the Wahl Professional 5 Star Vanish Shaver, 8173-700 Gold, my first foil shaver. Thanks for showing me how to clean it. ; )

    I have found a cheap Synthetic Shaving Brush works best. The soft bristles get into every nook and cranny with no damage to the cutters or foil.

    Thanks for this, I just used water and ended up buying a new Electric shaver for my head. I thought it was because the product was cheap. Thanks for the video.

    Hmm, that's why my foil shaver doesn't cut well after a few uses. I will have to clean it regularly for now on.

    I just got an fx3 and it doesnt state anytjing about needing to oil it in the manual. So im assuming oil isnt necessary for these vibration type foil cutters vs. Moving blades on clippers...?

    • @dugascuts
      @dugascuts  Месяц назад

      @@jovanventura8726 yes you are correct. I’ve never oiled my foil shavers before. The reason for oiling the clippers is because friction on the moving blade and the still blade. Foils don’t have that.

  • @royalthurston
    @royalthurston 7 месяцев назад +1

    Make sure it’s dry before you put the machine to your head again or someone else’s. You don’t wanna put disinfectant on skin.

  • @sAmiZZle82

    I picked up a few things from this clip but from what i hear you should be super gentle when cleaning the blades themselve. Very prone to breaking, bending and cracking. Also its good for people to know that you can wash the foil heads and leave them to dry before putting them back on the machine

    do you oil them with a clipper oil?

    • @dugascuts
      @dugascuts  5 месяцев назад +3

      I don’t oil mine, never have and never will. We oil clippers because there’s 2 blades moving back and forth on each other. But with a foil we don’t have that. I know some people do but I personally don’t

    Love the tutorial bro. These things are beasts. Want to take care of it. Only one question. When you spray it with the disinfectant it kinda leaves the blades a lil oily. When you use it again, wont it be harder to get the hair off of the now oily blades? And if so, do you have a method for cleaning hairy oily blades?

    • @Miguelstradamus

      Wait a minute. I oiled my blades before spraying the Andis. So that's why they were oily. Does the andis spray alone leave an oily film on the blades or no?
